I'm genuinely curious since Earthbound is already pretty autismo, and most Ness/Lucas players rely on a patient long game based on a couple of moves at most which makes me think they can get into that mechanical, repetition-based mindset without finding it boring.

I haven't played the other games and I'm not sure if I will, but I play the Duster skin Lucas. The DKC series and Mother 3 are probably my favorite representation in smash. The amount of little detail with Lucas is great. I still think it's funny that the rope snake is literally talking to Lucas in his character art.

Two types:
First is playing a character who sucks shit and their gameplan is not even interesting. The second are characters who never ever approach and their gameplan is once again, not even interesting. A good example in Ultimate would be Sonic. I can understand someone using him in 4 because he was good despite being boring as fuck, but it takes someone messed up to enjoy him in Ultimate.
