While life is about having fun and vidya is a good way to save money, life is also about personal development. Pick up a trade like coding or learning how to make games. You might enjoy it in the process and find a purpose. Playing video games until you die will leave you unfulfilled in the end.

I have a bachelors degree in Cyber Security and Networking and I play in a jazz club regularly.
I've been on steam for 10 years, it's plenty long enough to rack of tons of time in stuff and still live a balanced life.

I had 412 days played over 7 years when I quit wow.
I managed to raise to the top and play with the best, and I was very dedicated to it, it sorta became my life for those years, that's how I got that kind of playtime.
I got a lot of actual friends and went over 2 relationships with wow girls in the meantime.
I regret nothing.
