It's great in the sense that the game gives you total freedom. There isn't much in the way of dialogue options, although your companions have lots of fun conversations on their own.

the full game has like 30 starting options for where your begin in the world and what your social status is.

No, in the full game you can tweak your start so you can have a squad of robots or start with nothing but a really strong sword for instance

Martial artists can learn to punch limbs off of people. And there are lots of katanas and japanese spears to use, although you could stick to heavy swords or cleavers if you prefer. All of its weebiness seemed tongue-in-cheek and self aware to me.

Theres some decent mods for the game. I forget what it's called but I installed one that adds more starting options and another that added more npc's and they made the game a lot more enjoyable. Once you can stand your ground without major injuries the game gets a lot more fun.

It plays fuck all like Mount and Blade it's a mix of The Sims with a portion of Fallout Tactics and survival crafting games.

Absolutely not. Love the game, but there is fuck-all to do with the NPCs other than recruit certain ones or trade with merchants. You can speak with the faction leaders, but that's one NPC in an entire country. 99 % of npcs, all you can do is attack them unprovoked.

Yeah, there are cities and you can buy homes in them and live there. You can also build your own city if you want, which gives you more freedom to farm or build generators or do other things outside your building that you wouldn't be allowed to build inside of a premade city. You could own a store in a city, but I'd recommend finding the mod that fixes the economy since NPCs run out of cash too fast for them to ever buy your stuff if you go without the mod.

was thinking of buying it but some anons mentioned that you can easily steal shit that will make you ridiculously powerful and make the rest of the game trivial so i never went forward with it

Having a thief with robot legs can evade everything at 35 + mph

most of the stuff you steal is the same junk you find everywhere. and you need a pretty high thieving skill to even pull that off. not really sure what they were talking about, unless they meant a specific item. if that's the case though i haven't found it.

Getting caught doesn't really matter when you can just pause and try again until you succeed or gain more thieving skill. I know black desert city near the start of the game keeps their thousands of cats worth of prosthetics in a loosely guarded barrel upstairs.
