you can just climb onto something tall enough, you don't necessarily jump onto them in the games either, you can just let yourself fall from an elevated position, the important thing is to land on them

A simple punch or landing on them with nearly any weight kills them, as well as throwing almost any object at them kills them. Yes, I could very easily defeat a goomba.

Goombas can do as much damage to Mario as things that would easily kill any normal human. So probably not.

False, they hurt mario purely because an enemy is required to do damage, there is no scale of damage in the game, so them simply bumping into him will cause the same damage as a cannon ball exploding.

Throwing an empty turtle shell at slow speeds kills them though. Theres no scaling of anything in the game so you have to take the lowest damage required.
