>Razer shit
fucking zoomer
What is this
Are you 12?
It's hilarious how these tech companies play Zoomers like fiddles by creating flashy accessories and handing them out to streamers to advertise.
Why is gaming shit always sold with RGB shit
Nah it's not at all
Model M is the best keyboard, period, full stop. Fuck RGB.
Are they still available?
wrist rests are bad for your wrists honestly, if you actually have a proper setup of chair/desk you should not need one and you can game for hours in comfort
Those guys could come up with an actually good, top of the line mechanical keyboard and I still wouldn't buy that rainbow DUDE, EDGES AND ANGLES shit.
I honestly cantbunderstand the apprsl of RGB, sure it looks cool, but when i am playing gamee in a dark room i dont want to be surrounded by flashing rainbow lights.
Have you ever heard of Ebay? It's not hard to find them used, usually less than $100.
Is it because you're poor?
It's because they have awful aesthetics, user.
Oh damn just got this one yesterday , Blackwidow Chroma Tournament Edition V2 with yellow switches. This thing is the Lamborghini of keyboards. Haters gonna hate!
It's because I'm not an epic gaymur who needs lights all over everything. My hardware is fairly expensive, but it's actually tasteful. Maybe you'll understand once you turn 18.
Tecware is best
>rainbow colors
You are actually homosexual, aren't you? Pick one color and stick with it, if you're going to bother with the RGB shit.
>>rainbow colors
>Pick one color and stick with it
Uh you can?
I've been having discomfort lately with the bottom of my wrists either sitting uncomfortably on my track pad, so that wrist pad on the bottom is genuinely interesting to me?
How does it feel?
I've used that for about a year, and it is genuinely the worst keyboard I've ever used. The clicks are really loud and artificial sounding, and the plastic they use absorbs all the oils on your fingers and leaves gross looking stains.
I've been using a Leopold FC660M with brown switches for the past year, and have been enjoying it significantly more than that piece of shit. All I need to do now is find a good replacement for my Razer Deathadder
I hope you don't use pic related. If so, you have awfully shallow taste. That's not to say gaymur keyboards are good, just that yours isn't any better.
The RGB is propaganda by the LGBT to make zoomers more faggy by having them play surrounded by rainbow light before they start exploring sexuality. DONT LET KIDS USE IT they will turn fag and you'll be sorry!
>Deathadder
>"gaming" peripherals are THIS tryhard
Model M is the best mechanical keyboard ever made, zoomer.
Meh, I can appreciate lights in a keyboard and mouse since I use them in the dark a lot of the time, but I don't know how people can stand to use a keyboard that's strobing with rainbow lights.
>Meh, I can appreciate lights in a keyboard and mouse since I use them in the dark a lot of the time
How new are you to computers? If you're well into adulthood and STILL can't touch type, there's something wrong with you.
For me it's the Wooting One
>no numpad
Why would you pay for 75% of a keyboard?
I touch type fine, I just think it can looks nice
Try do write in pitch black with a blinding monitor only, oh great touch typist.
You can program the lights to do whatever.
I have mine moving slowly, 1 row of keys a second, so it taktes half a minute for one colour to pass through.
I got it as a gift a few years back when I had first built my PC. It's not that bad of a mouse if I'm being honest. I like the two buttons it has on the side, and you can turn the Razer logo light off. I'd just rather avoid Razer products if I have the chance.
Are there any good mechanical keyboards under $100?
To be honest having backlight on keyboard makes sense and since different people like different colors, RGB is fine. But fucking rgb ram, or mouse pad why?
RGB is gay
>not making your own mechanical keyboard
It's not that hard, and you don't have to deal with any of that RGB eye-sore.
Rainbow doesn't make sense but RGB makes sense to me plus it's not like it's super bright since all give the option to turn it off or dim it
>Try do write in pitch black with a blinding monitor only, oh great touch typist.
I mean can you actually not do this? I guess it's an effect of things shifting to cell phones
I could have typed completely blind since I was 6 or 7 years old
What do you need it for?
Typing? Get model m from unicomp.
Gayming? Don't buy razer. And try your keyboard out before you buy it, you might not like switches etc.
I can, but it's significantly harder. Just like it is harder to walk on a treadmill with a blindfold, or playing the piano. Having in in the peripheral makes the difference.
It's for gaming mostly yeah
>durr i need a mechanical keyboard for gaming
I quit using a $140 mechanical keyboard to go back to this and I am happier. 10 bucks on Amazon.
You don't need a mechanical keyboard and you probably don't realize that you don't even want one.
>I bought the wrong switches for my preference so now I have buyer's remorse
Nope bought exactly the ones I wanted. I have probably typed on keyboards twice as long as you have been alive and I know exactly what I want
tiresome and loud to use, just not worth it, no benefit in games except extremely specific situations like with reds you can strafe back and forth unnervingly fast as a scout in tf2 and make people miss sniper shots
lol no
>tiresome and loud to use,
So you bought the wrong switches. fuck off.
>This is best gaming keyboard
Real best keyboard coming through.
because I have this and a small desk.
I have a similar one but Microsoft and used to play a lot of high level FPS, mechanical is a meme for kiddos that can't gitgud.
Full size or TKL? Do you need backlight? What kind of switches liniar, clicky or just tactile?
If you don't need RGB you will easly find good keyboard for less than 100 buckos.
I won't tell you specific models many keyboards are almost the same. Just hit your search engine and do little research. Or get something like K65 from Corsair it's overpriced but w/e.
What the fuck is a mechanical keyboard and how does it differ from a normal keyboard? This whole time I thought mechanical meant normal and membrane was like the flat rubber shit.
this is like saying you need to see your hand to jack yourself off user, there are home rows for a reason so you know where you are tactile touch.
Honestly this. I fell for the mechanical keyboard and really see no merit over my laptop one. It's sort of more fun to write on it and I appreciate longer travel time and shit, but it's a minute difference.
said every poor and shit person at games ever
140 dollars aint even pocket change
Yeah I don't trust the home row jew.
>mechanical keyboard fanboys
want to play me in an fps game? I'll smash my k120 on the ground and break some of the keys off so I have to push on the membrane thing.
You are meaninglessly attaching significance to an object that is nothing more than masturbatory materialism. It's pointless kid.
Those are good too, but kinda too light
>hand support
retard. have fun asphyxiating your wrists.
He's not wrong about mechanical keyboards offering no real benefits for gaming though. I've used many types of keyboards for gaming, all the way back to an Amiga 500. Whether it's rubber domes or switches or even springs, it makes no difference for playing games.
Actually scratch that. Mechanical switches are slightly inferior for gaming because of key chatter which is something every single mechanical switch can suffer from but rubber membranes don't.
This is the one I've been using for a while now.
It's been pretty reliable so far even though it's advertised as a LE GAMER XD keyboard.
if the key noise actually bothers you they make o-rings to dampen them - also mechanical is super nice when it's just reds or browns and isn't super loud - it's kinda relaxing if anything - blues are hell when people play without push to talk cuz it's just click click click
>colors affect function
what the fuck is this I have no fucking clue what a mechanical keyboard is
I ordered a Ducky Shine 7 last week. Did I fuck up?
This is my keyboard. I like it.
Have an EagleTec
it alright
No. Key chatter is basically keys typing in twice when you hit it once. Due to how mechanical switches are designed, it can happen on any of them and often does but most people don't notice it. Basically it's because they use a spring and the internal parts of the switches bounce on this spring when pressed down and this bouncing causes the keyboard to register it as two presses of the key.
why are you gay?
oooooo pretty colors!!!!
The blackwidow v2 is unironically good. that is all.
I bought this 2 years ago and it's fucking amazing
>if the key noise actually bothers you they make o-rings to dampen them
awesome, now i can have bad key feel for only $140 + $20 + a bunch of my time
still no benefit and now the keys are actually gimped from how they are supposed to operate so youre using some bastard version to solve a problem that has no good solution
You just overpaid if you paid full retail.
But you will enjoy it.
>ISO
objectively inferior
The most popular switches for mechanical keyboards are "Cherry MX" switches and you can tell how they are going to perform and sound based on their color to keep it simple.
For example: Cherry MX Red switches are obviously red, they make no clicking sound and have no tactile bump when you press them like most membrane keyboards do. A Cherry MX Blue switch makes an audible clicking sound when you press it and also has a nice little bump to it when you press it. A Cherry MX Brown switch is silent like the reds are (for the most part) but does have a bump to it when you press it.
I've got the Deathstalker, it's pretty comfy. I've got no use for mechanical and the huge, flat, spaced out chicklet keys are great for never ever pressing two adjacent keys by mistake.
it's the type of switch under the key, some companies make their own switches but most people using mech keyboards probably have blue, brown or red switches as they are very common and give different kinds of feedback/noise levels - some companies either make their own switches or partner with a switch maker to have custom switches, i think razer has a line of green switches with their own custom design
>ISO
>wrist-destroying slant
>integrated rest
>that spacebar
ugh
>ISO
>Faggot didn't bother to config backlight
>No wrist rest
6/10
Small enter keys disgust me.
This aint it chief
soooo they how come when people type of play games it doesn't register as two hits if that happens? is there something in the hardware/software that prevents this? otherwise wouldn't everyone with a mech keyboard be constantly spelling stuff wrong or having double inputs on games?
I left my wristrest out of the picture. It's this one.
Hell yeah!
I've gotten so much value out of mine, its crazy.
>bought rgb keyboard with brown switches at nearly half price
>pleasure to use, great feedback
>only use one colour when it gets darker, disable leds otherwise
feels good man
Its all about aesthetics not about playing videogames.
I bought a nice mechanical keyboard and I can't say it's made any difference as for playing games.
For typing it's way better, of course.
The only way it's improved my ability to play games is through having n-key rollover (you know when you press 2-3 keys at once on a cheap keyboard and one of them doesn't register? good mechanicals don't have that)
i didn't say it was a good idea user, it's just an option, some keyboards have longer switches to account for o-rings or they come pre-installed, again, not a great idea but some people like them
of all things gaming, mechanical keyboards are the most overrated and overpriced thing ever, RGB ones especially so
Wrist rests cause carpal tunnel and tendonitis, FYI. Google it.
The tendons and nerves do not like being compressed while in use.
You redeemed yourself slightly.
>Wrist destroying slant
t.actual retard
>Integrated rest
And?
*go to goodwill*
*buy a used keyboard and mouse for under $7*
eat my ass, fags
Can anyone even HOPE to match this setup?
>*action* posting
You need to return.
>>Wrist destroying slant
>t.actual retard
Look it up. Your keyboard is supposed to be flat
>but I thought!--
You were wrong. You should invest in knowledge before insulting others, because looking doubly ignorant is not a good look.
>not wooting two
It happens all the time, most people just don't even register it. You'll find it happens more in the summer than winter (heat makes springs contract so they bounce more), it tends to happen more with dirty keyboards and certain types of switches it happens more with too.
The only reason I realised it was happening to me is because I was playing a game with double jump and I kept fucking up jumps because I'd be jumping then immediately double jumping.
How are you using your keyboard faggot above your eye level? Do you rest your forearm instead of your palm?
*autism*
and then boomers buy the no-name mechanical keyboards which offers the same LED RBG options and color keycap options.
I literally can not figure out what you're asking me. Try to ask the same question but less retarded.
>wanting fuck off gigantic keyboards instead of small aesthetic ones that you can move around the desk easily or keep in your lap
tiny keyboards 4lyfe
>Wrist rest specifically designed to reduce carpal tunnel
>It causes carpal tunnel!
Who gives a fuck about ricer LEDs? Buy a Filco or Das. If you want LED backlighting it's trivial to solder a little 99-CRI yuji 5mm into the PCB that will be fastly superior to anything the RGB monstrosities have.
Hey not every person on this website still lives with his mum.
There is no such thing as a wrist rest "designed to reduce carpal tunnel." You will notice manufacturers never use such language. They use terms like "may reduce wrist strain!" "may improve comfort!" This is to avoid legal liability.
In reality wrist rests cause carpal tunnel. Literally google this, it is free information. Or remain a sunk-costs ignoramus, I don't care.
What's a good mouse? I'm thinking of getting this one corsair.com
The one I have now is I believe a Logitech g502. I had how loud scrolling is, and the wheel itself is starting to rust. I have pretty big hands, so the Ironclaw seems like it could be good for me.
Doesn't loud clacking annoy the fuck out of you? I like the standard clack that normals make, but,I can't imagine it being louder and not wanting to throw the board at a passing thot.
Corsair is dogshit. If you have big hands you want g403.
>>Wrist rest specifically designed to reduce carpal tunnel
They're not. They cause carpal tunnel, which is caused by compression of the median nerve.
This is also why carpal tunnel is now classified as an obesity-related condition. We didn't actually understand the cause of it until like 15 years ago.
Excuse me faggots, real man stepping through.
Carpal tunnel syndrome is caused by a constricting of the carpal tunnel due to pressure. On its face, a wrist rest would by definition increase the incident of CTS, not reduce it. Unless it's got some kind of vacuum that's sucking your wrists downward.
Overwhelmingly best mouse right now is Logitech G Pro or G403/G603/G703.
I strongly urge you to buy only Logitech mouse as their distribution, materials, sales numbers, etc means they are simply always higher quality than other mice.
I made a picture for you since you are to retarded.
For the second part i've seen some "people" rest their forearms at wristrest.
Are you ESL or ETL?
No, it's just satisfying tactile feedback.
I have that but with blue switches. It's pretty good but I wish it didn't have the G buttons on the left. I never use them so they just take up desk space
Majestouch 2 is the perfect keyboard.
I didn't know your eyes were in your mouth, user
shit meant for i fucking hate phoneposting
I'm 28, projecting isn't an argument.
>>Wrist rest specifically designed to reduce carpal tunnel
no
You'd be suprised how useful they can be, just think about common key presses you do and create a macro for them. I fucking love this keyboard and the moment it breaks I'm getting another one.
I'll check those out. Thanks.
It is flat it's just angled you idiot
ornata chroma keyboard
its a membrane keyboard but they but little metal clips under the keys to make it click like its a mechanical keyboard, but its not one.
I bet you think mechanical keyboards are designed to be better than membrane and not just to make click clack noises lmao
>It is flat it's just angled you idiot
>all of these RGB children
Actual best keyboard coming through
>stylish
>subtle
>backlit
>wireless or wired
>mechanical
>no pointless Num pad
>Can get cheaper TTC or cherry MX switches
>most importantly, doesnt look like a child's toy
$45 for cheaper version
$85 for the MX red version
>gaming keyboard
>gaming headset
>gaming monitor
It's handrest is in line with keys so it doesn't cause any compression you fucking reee tard
>White eyesore
>"Stylish"
I have this
i don't know why so many fags like those fatass keys
the keyboard being angled itself causes compression. that's what i am trying to express to you.
keyboards should be flat, as flat as possible, with no wrist rest
>but keyboards have been angled forever
the leading medical treatment for hundreds of years was cutting you open and letting you bleed
yes, but its no longer branded as ibm, even though its made by the same ibm factory.
I love the shallow key design like this. I have a similar keyboard and it's omega comfy.
>no numpad
into the trash
>Hands are in perfectly straight line
>It causes compression buy flatshit
I'm 30 years old and I love having light that reacts to sounds. I have equalizer programs for my keyboard and mouse and an equalizer bar I bought at Lidl for 4 bucks 7 years ago. When I'm drunk I blast my favorite bass heavy movie and just stare at all the lights going off in my room and it gives me job. So sue me.
>minimalism is worse than flashy overdesigned garbage
back to your japanese RPGs faggot
who actually even uses a numpad?
I can't go back after using Topre switches. For typing and fps it feels great to use. I have some shitty gamer keyboard that uses the same Mini-usb connector for when I play a game like Warband that uses Function & number keys
What's a good keyboard that will last me a long time?
I don't care about aesthetics and adjusting lights etc.
Minimalism would be black. This is just ugly-alism. I bet you own a MAC, too. They're the same shade of disgusting white.
I hate phoneposters i made new version just for you. If you have non ergonomic battle station/ workplace your back/wrists whatever get fucked. I miss beetlejuice.
Any good mechanical keyboard made in 2019 without lighting and with numpad?
That's not cherry greens
Probably something from Ducky
Why does it need to be made in 2019 if the technology was peaking like 6 years ago?
you can get it in black :)
I didn't know xiaomi made keyboards, how much
All relatively cheap, the only problem is the lead time from china
Mk 1 with TTC switches is around £45
Mk 2 (the one in )
is about £110
Theres also a wired version with a numpad & cherry reds for around £50
>no numpad
>chink name
>can't use it as a bat to murder someone with
No thanks.
Don't forget
>Build in keylogger and backdoor
