One thing Nomura does right is make the final boss fights just batshit insane and hype as fuck. I had the biggest grin on my face throughout Scala Ad Caelum. When Xehanort literally took the light out of Sora and forces you into Anti Sora I lost my shit

Which side game did I miss to understand the relevance of the fucking goat shit?
Pretty sure DDD, CoM, BBS, and 358/2 did not prepare me for goats?
>no ship phase
>underwater phase that shills the gacha game
Final boss sucked. At least the portable final bosses had good music. This one didn’t even have that.
>>underwater phase that shills the gacha game
You mean having Daybreak Town being in the background? How the fuck is that shilling and how is that a negative? Fuck off retard
I played the game a second time and honestly, the Xehanort fights are probably tied as my favorite final boss fights aesthetically with KH2. It just oozes with and confrontation and is better than KH2's in a lot of ways for me
>better arenas in the flip turned upside down Scala and ritual scribed arena in the sky under Kingdom Hearts
>Xehanort taunting and shit talking you throughout all the fights
>the most boombastic and clever remix of Destati so far, the most iconic track of the series
>Its Donald and Goofy with you to end it
>'Trinity'
It was all very fitting and gave me the same kind of goosebumps I got when I first fought fought Xemnas
Nah it was kinda shit. Easily way worse than 1 and 2
KH3's last boss sequence doesn't even compare to KH2
There is a goat detail in his keyblade and he also has a goat beard
Yeah, who the fuck were those Goat-guys with Organisation XIII movesets?
r u gonna defend kh1's shit flying combat controls aswell?
Given the animal theme, an actual foreteller keyblade, his description as "the strongest master" and massive light attacks I want to know how close he was to the Foretellers' power.
Nostalgia fags at its finest. KH 3 final boss blows KH 1 and 2 final boss fight out of the water. You're so blinded by nostalgia it's unhealthy.
scapeGOAT
Oh and satan parallel cuz why not
I am so hyped for the Foretellers Saga it's unreal. It seems like Nomura wanted to rush and get KH 3 out of the way in order to focus on the next saga
Its been on his keyblade for like 7 years buddy, learn to religious symbolism m8.
You can interpret it as either the traditional satanatical goat of Baphomet or you can even consider it in the scapegoat way of Jesus Christ
His keyblade has a goat on it. but also, the Foretellers have armor based off of animals. Guess Xehanort is trying to call back on that.
>beard was clipping through the neck
Couldn't take it seriously.
>forces you into rage form
>light pillars swirling everywhere you have to dodge
>final limit in org. thrown room shooting lasers around.
>Donald and Goofy backing you up til the end
It was a pretty great boss, but it was the only boss I really enjoyed. Burning through all of the villains for the 3v3s was a lame choice.
Yeah but by doing that he made a lot of people disappointed and upset, i would be hype as fuck for the next saga but i don't trust him anymore
>same shitty final boss ost for all phases of fight
Yea nah
I mean can you blame him? He's been trying to tell the same story for almost 20 years. Clearly he got bored with it and wanted to explore other avenues and parts of the world.
Its better than KH1 and 2 where more than half of the final boss fights are just fighting waves of regular enemies, a door and a gummi mission
It's not clipping, there's just an opening there.
This.
OST for 3 was pretty lackluster bar a few tracks. Too many "epic" arranges and reused themes that made no sense. It's a shame especially after DDD had 10/10 rearranges.
Only songs I really remember are the Gummi ship and final world tracks.
Post a pic of his keyblade, I didn't even notice if there is.
I dunno my dude, could Xemnas replicate the other 13's movies or something?
What makes a foreteller special beside MoM handpicking them as his entertainment?
I never got a Satan vibe from him.
The final boss itself was shit, but the design itself was better than the fight.
And that's because Roberto Ferrari designed his new armor and the 13 xehanort armors.
I just thought it was a good looking demon head or something. I am more drawn to the eye.
I can't wait for him to rush through that because something else catches his attention.
>What makes a foreteller special
They're supposed to be the absolute strongest Keyblade wielders, and between them and the Union children who would you imagine to be the ones that left the massive craters and holes in the Keyblade Graveyard?
>the 13 xehanort armors.
I'm so mad you can't look at them in the Journal.
DDD's OST was pretty abysmal by the series' standards. All that was good was the dream eaters menu songs, the new dark impetus and the music in Symphony of Sorcery but that's just open source tracks from decades ago. KH3 new tracks and collaborative rearragements were a return to glory and probably a frontrunner for best OST once it releases and we get names for everything
>Donald and Goofy are apart of the final fight
>they help Sora get the final blow on Xehanort
>Xehanort saga started with Sora, Donald and Goofy and ended with Sora, Donald and Goofy
I loved this so much. It felt amazing having Donald and Goofy by Sora’s side during the final battle
Forever ruined by his shitty voice
>And that's because Roberto Ferrari designed his new armor and the 13 xehanort armors.
He's definitely going to be Nomura's replacement. Square would be retards to not have him work full time for them if he isn't already. Everything he's put out so far has been excellent.
Ah yeah fighting the same bosses again with remixed songs, and then the man has a big keyblade, truly this is Kinodom Hearts 3.
Both KH1 and 2's final battles felt like the culmination of Sora's skill and experience at the time. KH3 just feels like you're doing the same thing you've already done, there's no escalation.
Fuck you, I liked it.
It's not like anyone could do much better when you have to be compared to fucking Nimoy.
It changed when he started using the x-blade, pay attention.
KH1 sure you can make that argument, but KH2 its not a culmination of anything because its the same thing that series does which is throw new things that are cool, like suddenly making Sora and Riku a god who could do things that weren't possible before. But hey, justify your bad taste however you want its your head
Why did the Japanese version go with a soundalike but the English dub with for a completely different direction? The localization for KH 3 was very questionable. They even somehow butchered Master Xehanort motivation speech during the ending
why does he not have the no heart armor on? is he supposed to be wearing a foreteller outfit?
Ansem phase 2 was good but WoC was bad thanks to the flight combat.
I think a lot of the returning tracks were pretty boring. A lot of the boss fights were old songs but with a strong drum beat or whatnot. DDD definitely had less production value but I thought it's rearranges were more novel and stand by themselves.
Of course, nothing's really beaten the standard set by 1 and 2. Every other OST feels like a rip-off of them.
Can we stop bitching about KH3 shilling the mobile game? KHUX already has a better story than Xehanort.
I can't wait until the next game when you have a bunch of casuals bitching about how they don't understand anything because they refused to play the mobile game or watch the story breakdown on YT.
The Japanese version was using the original VA's son.
>you literally have to time your aerial block perfectly or you're fucked by all 13 Xehanorts
>Xehanort literally sends you to the game over screen but you're pulled back in by the power of friendship
I came buckets.
>Japanese games ruined by careless translation and voice direction
This happens far too often and it'll never stop happening unless the directors are as controlling as Kojima. I think Nomura would be more strict if he actually spoke English. As it is he really doesn't know any better
>It seems like Nomura wanted to rush and get KH 3 out of the way in order to focus on the next saga
It shows because KH3 is a fucking mess.
Calling anyone out for bad taste while defending KH3, and not only that but putting it above 1 and 2 is fucking hilarious.
>Can we stop bitching about KH3 shilling the mobile game?
No, because it's one of the most tasteless, soulless fucking business strategies I've ever seen used in any game ever.
>Rush and get kh3 out of the way
>At least 6 years of development time
It was ok but the Xemnas fight blows it out of the water. The chair phase was pretty cool though.
How? You don't need to pay money to see any of the important story stuff. That's just if you want to waste your time with another mobage.
Well Sora can cut skyscrapers, Young Nort can completely stop time, and Terra can curb stomp seven of what are supposedly the strongest keyblade users around, so I don't know at this point.
Filthy gaijin don't rike anything. I just do what I want and you buy it.
You needed to sit there waiting for it to update through the story with advertisements flashed in your face for a story you had no idea when was gonna end so you could move on. Then they essentially put the top paying players into the fucking final product. And the only way to understand the future of the series and much of the final parts of the game is to involved yourself in that mess.
Yikes.
>mfw they reused one of Chikao's lines from BBS and slowly transitioned into Akio's voice
Jarring as fuck, but it was a nice homage
>seven of what are supposedly the strongest keyblade users around
It's kinda hard not to be the "strongest seven" when there are only seven, only Sora, Riku, Mickey and Aqua when she's not being Jobqua are a worth anything.
When did you realize KH3 is the best KH game since KH2?
Where did Demyx go?
Home.
Re: Coded was better.
>Wanting the gimmick sections back
It's sad how a game running on a DS is more balanced and less floaty than KH3, but then again, I don't really expect much from the Osaka Team
So has Nomura or Square said anything since KH 3 released? I want to see what Nomura has to say about a Final Mix or any of the criticism KH 3 got (lack of post game, the pacing, too easy). It's a good game. A solid 8/10 but it just didn't feel complete.
When has Aqua or Ven not jobbed?
Terra is the only member of the trio to always win his fights. Vanitas let Aqua win first time and the last time her, Mckey and Ven worked together. She got her ass kicked by Demon Tower a lot, couldn't beat Terranort without Terra holding himself back. Meanwhile, Terra destory the Master, fucks up Vanitas, blasts Master Nort's ass so good that he didn't expect to get Ginyu'd and then kicked his own body's ass three times.
>Shit writing
>Mash X or press triangle to win
>Pretty colors
>8/10
Hello IGN.
KH3 is an artifact title at this point, his scope went so far out of reach after KH2's ending nobody knew he was teasing a Portable Game and not the actual third title. Unfortunately, Square took the fans who didn't play any of those into account and made KH3 a gigantic Catch-Up game with a way to many recaps to count and enough meta jokes made you'd confuse it with ambitious Fan Game.
I don't even care if KH3 was disappointing as long as it means KH4 isn't going to do this shit again.
Being better than BBS and DDD isn't an achievement.
It's also sad that it was one of the only two games that didn't get a console port or remake.
>>Shit writing
>>Mash X or press triangle to win
>>Pretty colors
Literally described Kingdom Hearts 2 Final Mix as well
Never said that was good, either.
What was your favorite part of the final battle?
>no you
Fucking hilarious
Ultimania comes out Thursday.
So many hype moments in the final battle
>Goat Xehanort shifting reality three times
>Xehanort stealing Sora's light
>"EXPIRE"
>Trinity
>floaty is automatically bad
Say whatever you want about balance but KH3's floatiness is intentional and works well, they built Sora's kit around having tons more options for offense, defense and movement while midair, it's not like the previous Osaka games where being mid-air is fucking garbage.
the fact that goofy could knock terranort back that much was hype
KH 3 floaty wasn't even bad and it fucking worked because Sora can block, use items in mid air and he can air slide. KH 3 "floaty" wasn't an issue at all and you are lying to yourself if you say it was because you're stuck on the floaty meme.
Out of all the Osaka games, KH 3 was the least floaty of them all
Imagine thinking a forced gummiship section of a boss is somehow better than a boss that relies purely on the base gameplay.
That comes with the consequence of dumbing down the game. There is no Ground vs Air dynamic in KH3. In KH2 there is a distinct difference between ground vs aerial combat as base Sora in KH2 for example; you don't have as many options in the air, so outside of engaging air based enemies, aerial combat is either an extension of ground combat off of abilities like Upper Slash/Finishing Leap/Thunder/Magnet or you want certain aerial exclusive attacks (Horizontal Slash and Magnet Burst, and even the base aerial finishers are very useful due to executing and recovering quickly). KH3 Sora's ground and aerial options are homogenized, there's practically nothing he can do on the ground that he can't already do in the air.
Rage Form's unique finisher for this fight, absolute kino
>Ultimate Form is Sora wielding a bad ass sword like a Final Fantasy character
My inner 15 year old self was screaming. That's what I wanted to see for 13 years and they actually did it.
the real question is why did he use this armor instead of the no heart armor
did nomura just forget
It was a nice fight but why could Sora beat him without a single power up or any real teamwork outside of one Trinity? Why was MX with the Xblade so weak
Pulling out the X-Blade was my favorite part.
>Warping around through Keyhole shaped portals
>Actually says "X-BLADE!"
>CUM KINGDOM HEARTS!
Was the lady in the secret reports and Isa's waifu Ava?
Did the memes become real? "X-BLADE!" is a battle quote.
If you look at the Foreteller Keyblades as well and remember it belongs to Luxu, the secret Foreteller, you can draw parallels from there
Unlikely since Luxu would have then known where she was
Sometimes Nomura has TOO many ideas. Like KH 3 felt rushed because Nomura wanted to focus on KH 4, Verum Rex and possibly The World Ends With You 2. I mean I understand that working on the same story for almost 20 years is draining but KH 3 took a hit narrative wise because Nomura wanted to focus on the future more than focus on what’s happening now
The fake out death into the final trinity to end the fight. That was pure fucking kino.
You forgot Back COver that tell the story of Unchained.
Basically everything is covered in game well enough aside from that
>replay 1 and 2 before 3
>they all have shit stories and awful cutscense outside very few shining moments
You guys are stupid and these game are stupid.
Stupid good fun
So did Sora like rewind time during the fake out death or did he just imagine it?
The chess game foretells all
Basically if you know the rules you can "cheat" other players
There was a bunch of rewind time shit near the end that just didn't make sense to me.
So now Sora has the ability to just rewind time now? What the fuck ? I know Nomura’s go to have always been asspulls but Sora has the ability to rewind time needs to be EXPLAINED. How the fuck can he just do it without explanation?
>So now Sora has the ability to just rewind time now?
Nah he had no control over it.
All of the series if just a chess game of light vs dark. Sometimes one overtakes the other and vice versa.
Sora getting a "second chance" by doing all that afterlife shit was just a hack way of saying that eraqus was planning for this eventuality the entire time since only he truly knows nort
When he saved everyone with the Power of Waking he took them to an alternate "Worldline" which is just their version of a timeline. Everything that happened in the original time happened up until Terranort since he talked to Namine in the afterlife and got him to find them which changed the entire outcome.
not him but Xehanort didn't come close to topping the scope of Ansem's ship and Xemnas's dragon fights
>Worldline
What the fuck is that?
The doc strange city warp was that part user
Xehanort's head slightly visible through the armour looks so goofy
>When he saved everyone with the Power of Waking he took them to an alternate "Worldline" which is just their version of a timeline. Everything that happened in the original time happened up until Terranort since he talked to Namine in the afterlife and got him to find them which changed the entire outcome.
Why the fuck does KH have to be so convoluted? Holy fuck
Then who is it? Because it makes most sense for it to be Ava
I wouldn't have it any other way m8. At this point, I'll continue to follow the series simply for the utter nonsense story-telling wild-ride.
DDD had a few good tracks.
youtube.com
youtube.com
youtube.com
youtube.com
This one is my guilty pleasure.
youtube.com
I mean it was batshit enough with time travel. Now Nomura throws in alternate timelines into the mix as well. Fucking hell
Could be Skuld. I don't think she's been mentioned in 3. I also haven't read the Secret Reports, so I could be missing something.
that's the great thing about kingdom hearts, the chuuni ride never ceases to amaze
Well, we didn't see a heart floating over him or anything like that. I just figured he was overwhelmed by Xehanort's attack and sort of blacked out for a second, but hearing Donald and Goofy's cries gave him a second wind. Sort of like a boxer getting rocked by a super hard punch but shaking it off before actually going down.
>this shit again
So Worldline means alternate timeline right? So in the original timeline, Sora and the other Lights all canonically die right? I'm so lost right now. How was Sora able to go to a different timeline if he died
>It seems like Nomura wanted to rush and get KH 3 out of the way in order to focus on the next saga
That much is definitely true, it almost felt like he was going through a check list of happily ever afters for everyone besides Sora because Sora is going to be the next main hero.
no
>Build up over the last few games as getting her chance to shine and help Sora as a keyblade-weilder in the final battle.
>Suddenly abducted despite all the training and "killed" for cheap shock value.
>To add further insult, the one who killed her fucks off to the afterlife with his buddy while her boyfriend once again sacrifices himself to save her, leaving her alone once again.
I hope Nomura dies in a fucking fire.
But it's not meaningful. Xehanort, Ansem, and Xemnas have none of the same memories or experiences. The only thing they share is a general trust in the Dark to do good things, and a willingness to plot. They are not combined all into one complex character, they are almost entirely separate entities with separate video game villain plots that mean very little. I mean, there is SOMETHING there with each of them, and they all do have their speeches, but to say Xehanort is a proper, whole combination of all three at once is a total handwave and is absolute shonen trash.
It's okay tho. Xehanort's just only very superficially developed. Me and my clones coming up with three dumb ways to open a locked door isn't complex, either.
stomping Xehanort with rage mode was beyond satisfying
its kind of weird that they dont mention the anti-sora form storywise
looks like a goof troop character (male)
What an awful artist who draws Kairi as a sexless man
seriously, they should have at least acknowledged it in DDD when the bad guys' entire plot for the game was to nort him
So remind me where Mickey came from?
He was just this awesome lord of his own Magical Kingdom, who worked with Ansem the Wise, then fought Xehanort when he fucked up the worlds?
I dont think I've cringed harder at a post on v
I don't think the game's development was rushed, but more like he wanted to get the closing off of all the storylines mostly tied to Xehanort out of the way in one fell swoop
A fellow keyblade masetr in training exactly like terra/aqua/ven
Different master though
>tfw well never get a Yen/Nort/Eraqus game
zoom zoom
first day here?
Mickey didn't really work with Ansem, he only met him once after BBS.
You will if you read some more posts in this thread.
Was there anything even good about KH3's ending? Besides the "shitty side-game characters who did absolutely nothing get forced happy endings"?
I honestly didn't even know it was him at first because he never had a goat motif and he already had armor. I just thought there were dimensional super goats who actually gave all the Organization their powers.
In hindsight, I think I understand maybe.
I watched the thing but it really felt like there was a whole lot missing. For example, they show that black haired faggot saying he's made a friend from another union and its never mentioned again.
Wtf daybreak town was UNDER THE WATER
Yeah, it was super epic when the old man put on a retarded outfit and then turned out to be a secret good guy
>and then turned out to be a secret good guy
Giving up after expending every posible effort doesnt make you a good guy but it does let you move on
Bullshit. He deserved to be blown to bits, or dragged behind a giant keyhole, or even turned to stone/frozen or some shit where he can't escape from.
Pretty sure he means there was no phase where Xehanort turns into a boat. Instead he just turns into a goat.
If he was blown to bits he would have ended up in the exact same place as he did
HE literally just says "We'll i tried to do good but i guess it wasn't that good." While destroying lives.
He a good boy becaue he say he love jesus at the last minute.
Good villain.
Wrong, DDD had the highest average music quality of all the games in the series. Every world had its own boss theme and they were all great. Example: youtube.com
>the villain thinks he right
Literally every jrpg user, even ganon pulled this nonsense once. Saying words doesnt make him a good guy, and his best friend had never given up on him.
He admitted defeat after getting his shit slapped 27 ways to sunday and then died with some dumb speech about how the current world isnt good enough which is the motivation of WAY TOO MANY villains.
Nothing wrong with a villain tihnking he's right
A villain being forgiven for being "A wee misguided m8 I swear" While fucking up as much as Xehanort did is a copout just to keep the game E rated and fanfic friendly is fucking stupid.
A proper end would have been Xehanort and his gay clones being BTFO'd and killed. Legit killed. It would have been powerful since nobody in KH never ever gets killed.
>A villain being forgiven
But that didnt happen.
Eraqus said its time to give up friend and they faded.
Thats literally it
The good ol' good man teacher holds Xehagenocides shoulder and goes into heaven while everyone else cries along with beautiful choir music about how they think he was just a good guy doing a bad thing is not forgiving?
While Mickey Mouse is standing in the background with hercules.
KH is gay
Considering he's using the word 'friend' to refer to Xehanort, the guy that got Eraqus killed, sent one of his pupils/adoptive kids to hell and put the second in a coma for ten years each, and then body-jacked the third, I'd say he got forgiven.
They were basically brothers user.
Did you not play BBS?
Eraqus was happy as fuck when xehanort returned at first before starting all this shit.
Then tagged along inside terranort for the ride and saw fucking everything
Eraqus giving up on nort is equivalent to sora giving up on riku. Not gonna happen in a million years because Light doesnt give up
Well i guess all of this is possible in a universe where literally nobody ever dies. They even showed in trailers that "AQUA IS FUCKING CORRUPTED OMG THIS IS THE END"
only to return to normal after Rikku hits her in the head
Xehanort "million trillion worlds sunken into darkness also killed Kairi" Xehanort is much different than "surely this robed man won't possess my body" Riku
>They even showed in trailers that "AQUA IS FUCKING CORRUPTED OMG THIS IS THE END"
Yeah that bait was pretty hilarious for the reactions. Dumb as fuck resolution though I wont disagree.
It was just painfully obvious since it falls in line with every single other game in the series in terms of retarded asspulls.
The epilogue is probably a red herring as well but you gotta understand that there ain't no gettin' offa this train we're on, till we get to the end of the line.
It was literally Obi-Wan and Darth Vader except Darth Vader was also Palpatine and never redeemed himself from the Dark side I mean Darkness
>it was literally this movie that ripped off I mean paid homage to tons of other things
Almost like thats what 95% of media is.
But Nomura's retarded and didn't realize why Vader was redeemed, so people shit Xehanort not getting his head smashed in for the shit he did
It's a ripoff because he blindly copied story beats without any of the stuff that makes it work
That shit was satanic and occultish as fuck. It made me never want to touch anything SE makes again.
I always hated this keyblade and others designed like it. I hate "stick with thing on the end of it." It's just so lazy. I'm glad they mostly stopped doing it after 1. In fact, this keyblade was probably a leftover from that game.
Eraqus is literally voiced by Luke Skywalker and Xehanort is(was) Spock, the references were intentional.
Xehanort was always Palpatine though, it's Terra who's Anakin/Darth Vader. They even copied the Revenge of the Sith opening scene with Anakin/Palpatine/Dooku, with Braig stepping in for Dooku.
And ironically, while Eraqus started out as Obi-Wan, The Last Jedi retroactively made him Luke as well to go with his voice. Eraqus trying to kill Ventus is a perfect match for Luke trying to kill Kylo Ren. It's Star Wars all the way down.
Why are you arguing when I agreed with you already?
let me spell it out
>Not gonna happen in a million years
>Dumb as fuck resolution though I wont disagree.
>It was just painfully obvious since it falls in line with every single other game in the series in terms of retarded asspulls.
I never once said that it was good or well executed dipshit. Just explained why things happened how they did.
Nomura being a hack has been known for over a fucking decade so not sure why you are surprised by this.
This exactly.
It wasnt that well done but it is what it is
Well to be fair, BBS did accidently predict the Last Jedi......
Worst thing about nu-Yea Forums is that posts like this are actually sometimes serious now.
And KH3 is the fucking Last Jedi of the series.
>>it was literally this movie that ripped off I mean paid homage to tons of other things
To see someone earnestly complaining that the Kingdom Hearts storyline "ripped off/copied" something from something else would be a level of tone-deaf irony I'm not sure I could handle.
Aren't those dandelions on that keyblade? I put down 30 bucks that this detail will be relevant and that this blade will tie back into the Dandelions somehow.
Nothing about KH3 is like Last Jedi, don't be retarded. KH3 is the RotJ of the series. Everything you wanted from the finale, but stuck right at the end after spending most of the time fucking around doing nothing in boring forests and shit with talking animals.
Those look more like gerbera daisies.
Dont bother, people are retarded parrots that think bad thing = bad thing without even putting a single braincell worth of thought into the post before hitting submit
Never mind the fact that KH3 didnt subvert any expectations like TLJ did and in fact went the opposite direction.
>He didn't reach the Keyblade Graveyard.
Uh, no KH2 is ROTJ.
I was expecting the game to be decent to good and it subverted my expectations hard
You know, I love magic circles. So when the Nort clones fly above the city and do that huge fuck circle attack I lost it.
KH1, COM, KH2: Original trilogy
Days, BBS, DDD: Prequel saga
Recoded: Clone Wars cartoon movie
X-Chained: Clone Wars/Rebels
KH3: Sequel saga
Manga/Fanfiction: Extended Universe
I already beat the game with over 60 lucky emblems on proud user.
It was exactly what I expected the entire way aside from the whole do over when sora died and even that was foreshadowed as fuck
I swear you guys dont play the series you just shit on thing because the echochamber is.
I can name plenty of reasons KH3 is bad tbut the story isnt one becasue its just as bad in every single kh game.
KH3 was too easy, had a shit opening act, ruined magic by making it spam2win and removing the best ones, and tons more things.
The story can just be skipped on repeat plays since its always been full retard ever since 1
Same. something felt incredibly fucking sinister and wrong about it, especially to be in a kids game with Disney characters.
>GOTCHA! Kairi gets abducted yet again and killed but GOTCHA again, she isn't dead!
>GOTCHA! Xehanort isn't actually evil despite the awful shit he did!
>GOTCHA! Riku ends up with Namine because there was no-one else to pair them with.
>GOTCHA! Tt seems Sora is dead, but he isn't and double GOTCHA, now he's running around real world Tokyo!
How is literally anything in KH2 like RotJ?
I guess KH fans are too autistic to understand analogies.
>goat man bad but literal depiction of satan good
Chernabog is disappointed
None of these analogies make any reasonable sense. Jesus you are beyond hope.
>Despite it's flaws, was a perfect conclusion to the story that didn't need to be continued with all the questions answered at the time before the series would be milked to death.
Regardless, with the way Nomura blatantly makes things up as he goes, he will probably be scavenging the old games for loose threads to reincorporate, like the black keyblade. He might even pull a slight visual retcon behind our backs so the flowers look more like dandelions. Any other story bits that got inadvertently dropped and forgotten along the way?
You mean stuff thats been in the series since 1?
Thats not subverting expectations, its delivering on them dipshit.
>kaira is the plot device
No shit sherlok
>xenahort isnt ebil
Nice headcanon. Forgiceness is never even brought up as far as sora and co are concerned. Him giving up the x-blade was symbolic of hte checkmate from the beginning, thats literally it.
I love how retards think they can invent dialogue to fit their narrative
>riku with namine
Wow riku with with kairis other half? Remember "Protect Namine"? Clearly it wasnt foreshadowing at all!
>seems sora is dead
Maybe to retards that didnt understand DDD and 3. Being flung to another unknown world because his friends is literally how 1 started, its a fucking circle
The whole gang jumping you in the streets was the best part. I wish it had lasted longer instead of them dying in one shotlock. Instead, the rest of them should have run and hid to recover their hp when one dies and you have to keep searching the city.
Someone post the model sheet for Mickey Mouse where it shows that his proportions are clearly based on the pentagram.
I played on Proud Mode and was underleveled. Believe me they got to do everything they wanted to me.
X is the old republic
But X is sadly canon. Just like Clone Wars and Rebels.
Sounds exciting. No joke. I went through kh2 thinking "why the fuck do they not just dogpile the little brat in Steelers colors?"
Comparing the final boss to 1 and 2, it certainly was the weakest.
While in theory, warping the world should be rad as shit, it was really lackluster. Especially having Sora and co comically yell "woaaah" and just fall off screen (this is the same kid that can run along walls and shit)
I do agree that the last phase was pretty tight though. Definitely better than 1's last phase.
Pity that all goes down the gutter 5 seconds later with the "I wasn't evil I swear!" Horseshit cutscene
There is no arguement here. Try again
I am at the Keyblade Graveyard on lvl 1 and it has been a ride. This is a great difficulty.
I never noticed this. Gone from best armour to worst
I'm so glad the entire series up to this point was just a fight between two guys with 8000 iq playing 4D chess. Truly the most kino of plots.

>skip to 20 second mark to see Walt Disney drawing Mickey Mouse back during World War II
>He would literally draw a pentagram then draw Mickey over it
Shit is fucking creepy.
user if you honestly think 3's last boss was better than 2's, you should be put in a fucking asylum. Hopefully your straight jacket has plenty of belts, zippers and plaid.
>Implying there wouldn't be Nimoy impersonators
Star Trek fags would have perfected it by now
There's way to much garbage filler from Disney World stories we have seen hundreds of times. Plus it doesn't have the fun core gameplay of Kingdom Hearts
Not him but the only thing that makes 2's good is how over the top it was. 3 didn't manage to do that, but it gave you a more mechanically better fight. 1 doesn't compare to either.
The one time the speaker on the PS4 controller was worth having
It works better than more convoluted time travel ironically
Yes actually, that dimension was destined to fall to darkness as the book of prophecy said
YenSid used to be a keyblade master and he trained Mickey
how is it creepy to use a star polygon to draw proportional objects with angles
But how did it fall to darkness if Xehanort wins and turns everything into light?
>everything you wanted from the finale
HAH
Don't even try and meme me it was a shit resolution for literally every character
>all keyblade masters get fukn shrekt throughout the whole game
>we learn nothing about the backstory of the org members despite xemnas literally saying their backstory was why they were chosen for nu org
>gay saix fujoshit overshadowing the trios' reunion
>trio reunion lasts for five seconds, they cry hug, then stand around for the rest of the game
>roxas falls out of the sky
>xion out of nowhere
>namine content is literally an optional cutscene
>riku doesn't say a single word to kairi
>sora fades away like luke fucking skywalker
>kairi dies twice
>lol no big deal don't even need to show how she was saved
>roxas doesn't even talk to HPO
>Terra wankery
>but even then once terra is back the reunion lasts five seconds; they cry, hug, and then stand around for the rest of the game
>Terra, the man whose anger kept his spirit alive for a decade doesn't say anything angrily to Xehanort, the guy who ruined him and his friends lives
>in fact, nobody says anything to Xehanort, destroyer of worlds and ruiner of lives about his actions
>they all just stand around and watch him and eraqus hug
honestly I'm confused at how the fanboys aren't the MOST disappointed with how sloppily Nomura handled everything
Wow the timing of this thread.
I just finished the game 3 minutes ago.
Man that ending twist and teaser for the sequel.
>honestly I'm confused at how the fanboys aren't the MOST disappointed with how sloppily Nomura handled everything
I am, I'm willing to bet anyone defending this is a corporate cock eating shill, having a brain aneurysm trying to make themselves believe they aren't actually disappointed, or are just a retarded casual that jumped in on 3 so they don't actually have a frame of reference for what a good KH game is.
>fall to darknes
You dont seem to understand.
That happened a long time ago, thats why the lanes between even exist
SCIENCE BAD
>played 1 2 and com way back when
>got all caught up for 3 the month before
It was all it needed to be plot wise honestly
Worlds were the disappointing part
Agreed
>Fighting the 12 replica Xehanorts while getting chased around the entire city
>Fighting Armored Xehanort through the land sea and air, with new patterns in each phase
>Final battle with old man, where he teleports through keyholes, turns you into a heartless, and that fucking final attack
>Gameover fakeout before Donald and Goofy save you one last time
It was pure kino.
KH1 and 2's final boss is suitably dramatic, but mechanically only the fight with Ansem on the beach at the beginning of the boss rush, and the fight with Xemnas in nobody space at the end of the boss rush is any good. The rest of their fights are garbage. Fucking Xemnas spends the entire final battle up until the last fight sitting down ineffectually waving his sword at you.
What's that?
They're three different tracks.
>Final Xehanort opens with remix of End of the World battle from KH 1.
youtube.com
Fucking underrated track.
If by kino you mean cliche and shitty, then it was kino
Final Xemnas = Final Xehanort > Armored Xehanort 3 > Armored Xehanort 2 > Armored Xehanort 1 > First Xemnas > 13 Seekers > Armored Xemnas 2 > Armored Xemnas 1 > Dragon Xemnas
>Purely on the base gameplay
>Gimmicky underwater and air gliding sections
I'm not defending gummi ship boss stuff but I was not a fan of Nort's first half
In the underwater segment you could still block, dodge, combo, cast spells, etc. Your options were more limited than usual so it was still gimmicky but not even close to the level that dragon xemnas was.
Y’all arguing over Xehanort’s trash ass redemption, meanwhile Saix’s exists. That shit was way worse.
Xehanort didn't get redeemed.
>Utilizing the flowmotion controls full throttle by setting the entire first phase in a giant parkour city
>Second phase thematically represents all 3 main characters
>Final boss uses anti-sora mechanic to try to trap you and Donald and Goofy break you out of the game over screen
Nah, the fight was genuinely well designed both from a gameplay stand point and from the themes of the series.
I still want another Roxas game god dammit
The difference is that underwater combat in 3 and aerial combat in 3 you have almost all your capability unlike the first game's swimming and flying, and is actually fun to control.
Yeah pretty neat how Scala was built on top of daybreak town
Doesn't make it true.
Friendly reminder that BBS is better than KH1, and RikuxNamine is now officially canon
Stay mad
>got all caught up for 3 the month before
Thanks for proving my point, you have no emotional attachment to this series and just jumped on the hype bandwagon like all the other faggots.
>Fighting the 12 replica Xehanorts while getting chased around the entire city
You fight one. Once you kill one it's over. You're also being extremely generous calling it an "entire city", it was a small arena.
.The rest of it was okay, but deflecting lasers and friendship limit with Riku > Donald and Goofy calling Sora (why exactly weren't they hurt by the attack?) Also Xemnas' battle quotes and boss music were god tier, whereas Norts music was okay and his battle quotes were pathetic
>Siax
I liked his motivation, it made sense for a nobody who can not feel to try to chase after a part of what made him feel in his past life.
Friendly reminder the spinoffs are shitty mistakes and anyone bringing up shipping cancer is a double nigger who needs to be castrated
Going to heaven with your butt buddy is redemption, whether or not you want to admit it. You get told this every thread.
Having to actually defend yourself against Xehanort's EXPIRE attack >>>>>> press square and X to deflect lasers at a nonchalant pace.
Also, the seekers of darkness share a health bar but there's still 12 of them on your ass.
>When all 12 of them attack simultaneously while the entire city is getting bombarded by lasers
You only think that because the word "heaven" is a loaded term. There's only one afterlife in kingdom hearts and everyone goes there. Nothing else could've happened, you just see him turn into a glowing orb and float into the sky so you immediately assume he's going to paradise. That's not what's happening, he's returning to kingdom hearts. That's it.
>There's only one afterlife in kingdom hearts and everyone goes there
Actually there's two, the abyss that the Lich drags you to is the equivalent of Hell if YX's words are anything to go by.
headcanon
you're allowed to believe what you want to believe though, just stay in your bubble
Other afterlives exist but people only go there in very special circumstances. Xehanort died pretty much like normal, I'd assume the only reason the guardians got caught by the lich is because they died literally inside of a demon tide tornado.
Losing your heart isn't the same as deaprting to the afterlife
>there's only one afterlife and everyone goes there
Post in game proof please
You fucking brainlet. There was zero anger in that whole scene. Eraques and Xehanort were acting like it was all a big fucking game.
Post in game proof Xehanort went to heaven.
Eraques shouldn't have been there. Period. It made no sense for him to be dormant in terra
Tfw Terra and Aqua adopt Ven as there child. Terra able to shake the whole castle by pounding Aqua and giving her the big cummies. Ven with his milk and cookies thinking there training and hope to tell Terra to go easy on Aqua
>There's only one afterlife in kingdom hearts and everyone goes there
You literally go to the Hercules afterlife in 2 and meet a dead Auron there.
Disney shit is only relevant to the OC stuff if specified. That's obviously just there as an excuse so Auron can show up.
>Losing your heart isn't the same as deaprting to the afterlife
It's not losing your heart, he says it's different than other Heartless and only existst to drag people down to the deepest, darkest abyss imaginable.
Why do some people think Xehanort didn't have a good ending when he did?
Secondaries shouldn't talk about what parts of the story are good or bad.
Mother fucker what? That's literally saying in game facts and events don't count if they counter your head canon.
>turns into shining gold light
>reunited with old family
>made peaceful
>absolved of old age
>ascends upwards into a golden ray of light, NOT Kingdom Hearts
Obviously not definitive since the word heaven is never said, but the biblical allusions are pretty fucking obvious unless you're a retard.
Now post your evidence for your claim
Oh shit the fuck up you no argumement dick sucker. People like you need a rope
No Kingdom Hearts game which uses the command deck combat system should even be entertained alongside the top-tier combat of the command menu system. Fuck, I'd also take the battle card system over the gameplay of a command deck.
It's literally only one guy in all these threads who can't accept it
Spinoffs are some of the best games in the series because they let the devs try new things like the command deck in BBS DDD and recoded which is fun af and requires you actually choose your loadout instead of getting everything at once.
->
>Disney cartoons have villain endings like Frollo falling into molten iron and Scar being eaten alive by the hyenas
>Xehanort just disappeared with his bestie and went "aw shucks bro guess you beat me"
Kek
>people are retarded parrots that think bad thing = bad thing
This is the most braindead post I've seen all week
well then I guess it's hell. Xehanort should have got taken by the lich, that would have been interesting
Every single time a person says "ReCoded is bad", they out themselves as being completely retarded.
FRIENDLY REMINDER THAT THE EVIL XEHANORT HAD SUCCOMED TO DARKNESS AND YOU CAN TELL BY HIS CHANGE FROM SILVER TO YELLOW EYES, HIS ACTIONS WERE INFLUENCED BY EVIL AND HE HIMSELF IS NOT ACTUALLY EVIL BUT HIS VIEW WAS JADED BY THE DARK INFLUENCE SIMILAR TO RIKU IN KH1 BUT RIKU FOUGHT OFF THE DARKNESS AND XEHANORT FAILED TO DO SO WHEN HE WAS YOUNG AND TOOK NO NAME.
>Nice headcanon. Forgiceness is never even brought up as far as sora and co are concerned
The fact that they never condemn him is the red flag retard. Sora even takes the passing of the xblade without as much as a "fuck you, you killed my girl" and even sat there and watched as he goes to KH heaven.
Just because they literally didn't sit there and say "ok I forgive you" doesn't mean that shit ass fucking scene was fine
>turns into shining gold light
Hearts are always that color when they leave the body, his heart was like that in BBS right before he entered Terra
>reunited with old family
Has nothing to do with him dying, Eraqus was always inside Terra
>made peaceful
By Eraqus
>absolved of old age
Just a callback to the previous friendship between Xehanort and Eraqus
>ascends upwards into a golden ray of light, NOT Kingdom Hearts
I'd much sooner assume this was a stylistic approach than assume it's an introduction to some sort of new afterlife never alluded to in the series prior.
All hearts returning to kingdom hearts when they're freed is a pretty commonly accepted idea, that's what causes the organization's motive in kh2 in the first place.
THIS IS WHY YOUNG XEHANORT WAS IMPRESSED WITH RIKU IN DDD, BECAUSE RIKU SUCCEED WHERE XEHANORT FAILED IN OVERCOMING THE DARKNESS
>that would have been interesting
And deliciously ironic for YX shitting on Sora earlier.
He didn't, the heartless tornado took over. The fight between light and darkness didn't happen and he didn't summon kingdom hearts
It literally popped up after everyone got swallowed by the huger darkness tornado retard. That was the world being swallowed. That event back then wasn't the ending
He did have a good ending, that's the fucking problem. Guy like him deserves to burn.
Remember kids
You have to destroy the body and the heart to go to final world. Once your in final world without your body, No more chances you're dead. So getting your heart taken is not the same as dying. Kingdom Hearts is so convoluted as fuck
This is why you're not a jrpg protag.
>It was enough
Opinion discarded. You literally do not care
last i heard he said something about wanting to do more for the game, but that nothing was finalized or even PLANNED yet. I wish i could find the source, some user posted it here the other day.
Basically, expect DLC or an Expansion down the line. I fully expect them to charge full price for a FINAL MIX version of the game but still offer the content digitally to prior owners so as to not look completely jewish, but they're still nipponese fucking jews for leaving out Critical mode in the base game when even 0.2 Fragmentary passage had it.
Speaking of which, 0.2 Fragmentary Passage was totally the Metal Gear Solid V Ground Zeroes to KH3's phantom pain.
I've seen so much praise for the BigHero6 world but to me it was the worst one. Yeah it had that one cool cutscene but it was one of the most boring parts of the game. I think it was even worse than the Frozen world
the last 3 hours of the game are hype as shit to the point it even was more hype than kh2 ending which had no match in the action genre not from bayo or ng or dmc. I actually thought they would never beat the final climax of kh2.. then the entire last 3 hours of kh3 are constant climax to insanity and beyond. I fucking loved it.
Best DM in the series.
yes you can blame him, because he dragged it out for way too fucking long. It's his fault if he got bored of the story. He should've finished it a long time ago if he wanted to tell new stories.
can somebody please talk to me about Axel/Lea? Like, what the fucking shit? What was the point of him getting a keyblade?! He jobs in 3 SECONDS. 3 fucking seconds.
What the fuck did he even do other than say Got it Memorized 4 more times throughout my 40 hour playthrough? Was it all just to make Fujoshis cream themselves? Do..Do people actually like this character anymore? I just don't fucking understand what the hell his purpose even was.
It is the best world because Big Hero 6 is better than all of them, with better characters and it has the best environment with the best most jammin' music. It is the playground world of KH and I always stop there when thinking of what to do next.
STAAAAAAAAAAAAHP IT
JUST STAAAAAAAAAAAAAHP
>It is the playground world of KH
Playgrounds usually require content in them instead of big empty streets.
Fanservice
>hardest boss in KH3 was a gummi ship battle
for fucks sake Nomura
>final fight with the ultimate villain who was the first the leave the Destiny Islands
>Final fight takes place anywhere but Destiny Islands
I love the Scala ad Caelum look but it would've been better to bookend the end of this story with a return to where it all started for both the protagonist and antagonist
Showing us that any random faggot can get a keyblade
That thing was piss easy, try fighting the ghost ship in the Caribbean.
>eraqus was always inside terra
but only appeared as Nort was dying
>just a callback
>i assum it's a stylistic choice
>stylistic choice
HMMM
The scene is very obviously meant to be biblical. I don't know how blind you have to be to dismiss that.
>All hearts returning to kingdom hearts when they're freed is a pretty commonly accepted idea, that's what causes the organization's motive in kh2 in the first place.
Nobody is disputing this and that wasn't your claim. Hearts are freed by the keyblade, and return to Kingdom Hearts then. That isn't what happened to Nort and Eraqus. It's also very clearly shown that they do NOT ascend to KH.
Your claim was that there is only one afterlife that everyone goes to in KH games, and you haven't provided any evidence to back this up. The Lich also straight up disproves this theory.
Good thing it is full of it.
Nothing will ever top Final Xemnas, even as gimmicky as the dragon part was, Armor Xemnas 2 and Final Xemnas were beyond kino
As much as I love the final battle I agree. They probably didn't want 2 final battles on destiny islands considering Ansem was already like that.
???? everything Caribbean was easy as fuck by stacking and spamming special attacks
Neither does time travel. Nothings been confirmed yet faggot
>ghost ship in the Caribbean.
The what now?
>but only appeared as Nort was dying
Terra has only been back for like 10 minutes at that point so that isn't really that surprising.
You're really dead set on interpreting this as biblical symbolism for some reason so I'm just gonna let you think what you want about it.
Speak for yourself nigger. You are in a minority here
>It doesn't count!
Why would you say this and this it is a solid defense?
He has a keyblade so he can still keep his flaming chakram attacks while being human. Only nobodies can manifest elmental weapons like that, when he was a kid he just grabbed some hoops from the street.
Mfw playing as Riku and that triangle command prompt appears
>"Sora"
if there is one thing other action games can learn from Kh2 and kh3 its flashiness and bossfights especially final bossas there is no other action franchise that does it as good not even bayonetta or DMC in fact not even close.
Not when that ship is constantly teleporting with other strong ships and never stops bombarding you with HP eating cannons. Fuck off pussy.
So why was Xehanort surprised to see him in three if this already happened?
Absolute shit
yep i only beat it with lv10 ship alternating between guard and shooting. but the accessory you get for the boss is pretty good.
In the South sea there's a particularly nasty heartless ship that teleports every two seconds and comes with a whole mess of minions who also teleport constantly. Him and the heartless ship with the big laser gun are pretty rough without a fully upgraded ship.
You have no fucking clue what you are on about, jesus
So what the fuck is Eraqus waiting for? Why not help in the final showdown?
>ignoring the rest of the post because you have no arguments
It was supposed to be some meta shit where you would expect the continue screen to pop out but instead the game continues and Sora gets back up because of FRIENDSHIP
Not that hard to understand.
>level 10 ship
hmmm.
What is hard to understand is how Donald and Goofy took that shit right to the face with Sora and were totally fine.
My heart sank when I saw that the trophy for the secret boss was for a fucking Gummiship
Eraqus can't fucking do anything, he's just a heart.
I didn't respond to the rest of the post because it's all just your personal interpretation. If you're just gonna say "its obviously meant to be biblical" there's nothing I can really say in response besides disagree.
As for the lich thing yeah that's a good point but I have no problems conceding that because that's clearly an actual afterlife as specified in game. Your idea of "heaven" is basically headcanon.
there is a secret ship boss in the carbian that will wreck you even at max level if you are not paying attention but you get a good accessory out of it.
Because teammates don't die, they just get knocked out for a while. We were still in gameplay mode and not cutscene mode at that point.
>isn't gonna do this shit again
user, the last 3 games I've played by squeenix have disappointed me. I expect this cycle of bullshit to continue.
The hell? Did I miss a third secret boss?
Kinda. Not really a worthwhile secret boss though
Just finished it and I was as disappointed as I thought I was gonna be.
>no final fantasy characters
>no cozy town to return to after a hard battle
>no sephiroth battle
>plot pacing was terrible
>can't play as the dozens of characters available
>can't customize your party
>references to the phone game
>final battle was anti-climactic
>kairi was useless
>demyx disappears after a certain point
>don't get to play as kairi or lea during training
>have to nerf yourself to make it challenging
Just like FFXV it had massive potential and fell short. Hell it would've been twice as great if they had broken up the frequency at which you rescued people. If you could slowly save/recruit people and fight/hang with them in a traverse town world it would've been amazing.
Zexion should've taken xigbars spot, I always felt like they were gonna do something more with him.
Glad I wasn't the only one wondering this at the end. Hell, how is he gonna become complete?
He did it, he made "a game that has everything".
Apologize.
>there are actually KH3 apologists pretending the joke of a final boss fight was good either thematically or mechanically
It has to be paid shills from Disney. No one is that stupid.
>hearts can't do anything
>in Kingdom Hearts
Gimme a break.
>personal interpretations
The heavenly imagery is there, but fine. Let's say it's not.
The Lich takes you to the deepest, darkest abyss, as said by YX. MX ascends up with Eraqus (possibly into KH) as light - clearly not a deep or dark abyss. Moreover, he ascends smiling, happy, and young with his greatest friend, whereas the Lich leaves you alone and formless. This suggests there are at least two afterlives - with one being clearly a better option than the other. Xehanort went to the good one.
>secret ending only makes it more convoluted
at this point in time Nomura has quadrupled down on this series. He's too far in not to bullshit.
If you look at the previous games they've always made sure to mention that Donald and Goofy are strong as Sora and have the potential to be even stronger. They're just held back by not having keyblades and thereby fight against creatures that are weak to keyblades with their strength and magic alone. That's why they're the half pint trio. Remember how reaction command Sora could do all sorts of crazy shit? That's Donald and Goofy too if they were given the chance to play as them.
Wasn't Daybreak Town around 100 years ago? How'd they have a whole country-sized city like Scala built up, populated, and crumble in less than 100 years?
in all honesty kh3 made me gain some trust towards the FF7 remake and this from a 36 year old that sill considers FF7 he best game ever made.
Welcome to the party, just finished it myself. So what's your take on the secret ending?
I'd hope the TWEWY game I've been thirsting for years for doesn't become a psuedo sequel tied into KH. But I'm thinking maybe the worlds of verum rex and shibuya are submerged in darkness, kinda like the worlds were in fragmentary passage. Thus by defeating the darkness there you can return them to the light. Unlocking those worlds paves the way to their sequels.
Granted we have no clue when we'll get any news on it, took years to get KH3 into our hands. Not to mention we're probably gonna get bombarded with dlc to flesh it out.
Time Travel in KH other than what Merlin can do requires someone to leave their body behind, and requires a version of themselves at their destination. Whenever someone returns to their time, they lose memory of what happened during the time travel to avoid a paradox.
Yes, it's retarded and only works that way to so Nomura could bring back Ansem SoD and Xemnas without retconning their deaths.
Everyone fucking died during that sequence, or lost their bodies/got seperated/whatever they dress it up as. In the Final World Sora talks to Namine who tells Terra he's in the wrong spot, and then Sora goes around rescuing everyone's hearts. I assume them actually time traveling is Kairi's doing, since she's allowed to break the rules and has before.
The point is is that they all died, and their 'free' hearts traveled back to right before they died and when they caught up they didn't remember.
Not that user but The Lich is just a unique heartless that ushers you into darkness personally, while making sure the body left behind is fucked with or turned into a Nobody. He's a Heartless that really likes to make sure that his victims stay in darkness instead of just running and slashing like any of the mook heartless would do. When he dissipates he just goes back to the Realm of Darkness. There's no alternate afterlife, your heart is just chilling in darkness until your nobody is killed but your the Lich makes sure your body doesn't wake up or get killed.
The better question is how is ven not as old as xehanort?
>real world Tokyo
It's TWEWY version of Shibuya, retard. We Nomuraverse, now. I'm willing to bet that KH3 will have DLC that leads into TWEWY2, and that game will have crucial plot points for Sora and Riku's story and how they get back to their world.
I was disappointed by KH3, FFXV, and "new" content in TWEWY final mix. I fully expect to be disappointed by FFVIIR somehow.
That's my presumption as well. Yet there's two sides to that ending. If one side is TWEWY leading into a sequel for that. Then what does Verum Rex lead to? A game similar to FFVersusXIII or a reboot of Versus with Noct and Stella?
I mean, he's a fan favorite.
Hope for a spinoff with him and Kairi as playables.
i was dissapointed by FFXV as well which is why i was sooo glad that kh3s got me some hope for the ff7 remake. You should try it with proud mode lv1 its not the usual autistic trial and error you would think thanks to the overall low difficulty of the main game.
Xemnas final phase shits all over xehanort and so did KH2 Xemnas as a villain
press triangle to sora
Ah yes, I remember that time he blocked Xehanorts heart transfer ball and Saix’s claymore with his bare hands in DDD
I did handicap myself through most of the game, and it did make it a little more challenging. Yet, just like with FFXV, the difficulty isn't very well balanced if the player has to severely gimp themselves to feel challenged.
TWEWY sequel and versus combined in one game.
The World Versus You
How long will it take
for aqua's model to get decent porn?
snapchat fan art like this is really funny to me
>combing two highly coveted games in a weak display to appease the fans
>God tier TWEWY potentially getting fucked up
I don't know if I can handle that. If he's gonna do anything with those series I'd prefer they remain separated and get their own respective games.
user, it’s too late
It might just stay AU and not actually be connected like every other disney and FF thing in KH. But we won't know until the fate of TWEWY as its own series is determined. Because even if TWEWY connects to the next KH game as the secret ending suggests, you might still not get a sequel
There's no way the complete destruction and rebuilding of the entire universe was just 100 years.
save
The ending of KH3 is the literal embodiment of everything wrong with the franchise at the moment.
>and then laughed
Is this dude the fucking "all according to keikaku" meme in real life? what a arrogant bitch lol
Yeah but The World Versus You is a pretty pimp title name.
And btw if you haven't noticed it yet, the Organization XIII members are based on zodiac except for Roxas.
Xemnas - Capricorn
Xigbar - Aquarius
Xaldin - Pisces
Vexen - Aries
Laxaeus - Taurus
Zexion - Gemini
Saix - Cancer
Axel - Leo
Demyx - Virgo
Luxord - Libra
Marluxia - Scorpio
Larxene - Sagittarius
I'm going to be honest. I had way more fun playing KH3 on level 1 than KH2. KH3 has way better options, way better combos, and way better strategies.
>Xigbar - Aquarius
Fuck yeah got the best one. In your face everyone not Aquarius.
Elaborate
>same sign as Demyx
Not even mad
There is nothing wrong with it though.
>created more questions than answers
>nothing wrong
But.. that's a good thing. Fuck off idiot.
So it would make sense that Xehanort have goat motif since Xemnas is capricorn.
ARE Y>OU FUCKING KIDDINF ME?!
Did nomura reall planned all that shit decades ago in advance?!
>wait 13 years for a conclusion
>it just raises more questions
true but dont say it too loud or you might end up being unpopular lol keyblades being actuall wildly different and keyblade switching is pretty nice
>i played 4 nostalgiughhh im so fucking retarded dur
>d-did you like my fight anons?
xemnas take a shit over every other KH final boss
in fact KH2's final world is still the best final world
honestly not really there was no forms to it it was just ifrit then you and thats it.. for a ff pretty weak i guess.
I'm going to miss KH Doomguy so much.
Well, his plan was foiled and he died. He went to heaven, so I wouldn't call it a bad end, but he achieved none of the things he set out to accomplish. The scene was definitely retarded, though.
It seriously needed at least one phase on Destiny Island. Would that have been so hard?
>gets 10 seconds of screentime in 3
wasted potential
He will always linger in our heart.
just like he did for cumguardian
I was expecting a final form and don't remember what the music sounded like. I did like finishing you off though
any second now
it feels good to know the truth
>I was expecting a final form
He had one but it got cut. It turns out completely changing the games combat system one year before release tends to break a few encounter. Definitely not Tabata's fault, who couldn't possibly known that?! neogaf.com
>the Venfag hates Roxas because Roxas is the original design and a much better character
>he hates Terra because Terra somehow cucks him because he fucking self inserted as Ven
>tfw ardyns DLC might end with some sort of teaser to clarify this secret ending mess
Here's hoping
the short two seconds when vens and roxas eye meet holy shit the dumbest but also best shit evert lol nomura loooool
Honestly I was slightly bummed there was no "Xehanort turns into a boat" phase. Just felt like a staple for the numbered games
Complete it, Yea Forums
When your boys Donald and Goofy call out to you through the controller while you are in the "Game Over" screen
Kinda hit me more somehow compared to parts of the other games climaxes even though those are probably better overall. Probably just realizing how much shit the trio have been through together and here at the end they got your back.

to me it was when the 13 cunts appeared, then when they used their final attack that darkend the sky then when the xehafuck twisted the entire arean, destroyed the entire city and we fought under water holy shit, then xehafuck literally lifted me up higher into the sky and closer to kingodm hearts just for the sake of truly making it feel like the fuckling final of everything than the cunt took my light and i fucked him up ff7 advent children omnislash stly to get it back, the the cunt waz in the throne room with the 13 other faggots and attacked be nonstopü i just survived via item spam. holy fucking shit everything was awesome!
Like this?
lol he doesnt know whatsi n the box?`what are you a fagoogt`? did you now follow the obvious clues left behind in every khgame over the last decade?`
the boxcontains anohter kingdom hearst and sora is the master of masters. THe master of masters even told you! did you not listen?!
Sure. Either that or Aqua will just give up and get gangbanged by shadow again. She or Ven just have to job in some way for Terra to go Ragin Retard mode again.
Honestly, I can see a lot of other characters like Terra and Sora realizing that they can use darkness along with their light like Riku has been.
>Implying Terra will be relevant after 3
I don't think they're smart enough to balance it with light like Riku. If they ever use darkness, you best believe they'll go all in like the reckless idiots they are.
Birth by Sleep and to a less extent 358 killed all of the soul the series had. Instead of abstract fantasy meets Disney, now it's just Nomura's OC characters ripping off Star Wars prequels while Sparknotes version of Disney tales are happening in the background
This
god willing this beta faggot is not he was truly useless every step of the way.
imo bring all new characters or only take sora everyone else had his conclusion.
Considering we've had like 4 games sucking off him and his friends, I doubt Nomura will just throw them all out, especially since he likes milking the arcs as we've seen for the past seventeen damn years. Wouldn't surprise me in the least if the game with Sora in Shibuya doesn't happen until after two or three other games about the rest of the cast trying to find his dumb ass.
Maybe, considering the likes of Sora, they'd probably just have trouble with it because they're just that used to having tampered with darkness or whatever.
why would xenahort needed all 13 of this keyblade
its nostaligia for the most part yes kh1 was simple and clean but even kh2 already left that road behind. again its mostly nostaliga take it from a 36 old fag.
>Projared did not like KH3

>Barry Kramer did not like KH3
>TeamFourStar was disappointed in KH3
>AntDude found KH3 to be lacking, rough, and a bit disappointing
>SomecallmeJohnny found the game to be too easy, poorly paced, and a little disappointing overall
>Bizkit047 has been noticing a lot of flaws in the gameplay
>BB/Bloody saw KH3 as mostly positive, but not quite as good as KH1FM or KH2FM.
Not trying to be bait, but... KH3 might not be that good. A lot of people want to like it so I can't say in all of these cases it's like some self-fulfilling prophecy thing, it might just have a lot of problems.
>be libra
>is the best nobody
KH3 was a little taste of what’s to come for everyone of these newly irrelevant characters like Terra, do nothing and be on the sidelines while the main characters who are supposed to do something take the lead.
So? All that maters is one's personal opinion, not that of others to validate things.
the only one that matters is you and the world record holder biz047 who fucking loves the game get fucked retard.
>Saix - Cancer
Fuck yeah. Dude's my favorite Organization XIII member.
>tfw pisces
Doesn't mean they're going to be sidelined for good, they'll get called in to help and then pushed aside once Sora's dick wavers back on camera.
literally who?
Of course, your opinion matters the most, I'm just throwing it out there that a lot of people seem to be noticing a lot of similar problems. It's not perfect.
I love KH3, but it's not perfect. Gameplay wise it has the most potential to be the best.
Story wise the pacing was really awful.
>I'm just throwing it out there that a lot of people seem to be noticing a lot of similar problems.
thats bullshit and you know it half the criticsm is garbage already disproved multible times the other are shitty season reruns of moronic ecelebs that played the game once surface level to get their montly "lets play money" out of their way.
oh no, now i have to hate this game because these people said they hate it and so should I
I fucking wish for Terra to be irrelevent, mostly because for god sake let him fucking breath.
But nope, Ven is tied up for the mobile shit.
No, you just want to shitpost because you don't like seeing people enjoy something you don't.
>Ven
maybe KH4 will make him more intresting right?
r-right?
so why does axel and saix look the same when they turn back into human and these guys don't
No one said you have to hate the game, I'm just saying it has flaws that multiple people have pointed out several times.
>Nomura finds some bullshit way to reset Terra, Ven, and Aqua to level one for a new game
>they're still "Masters", but have to regain their powers to justify the levels in-game as they blunder around the worlds
Again, so? Hardly anyone has said the game is perfect.
>i listened to these e-celebs and let all my videogame choices based on what they say and you should to
get your own taste
>Lexaeus and Xaldin were friends
>Vexen and Zexion were friends
>Axel and Roxas were friends
>Marluxia and Larxene were friends
And now Xemnas is sad they are all gone.
This.
Terra literally had 12 years of rotting in an armor in total isolation beside Namine and Sora
His heart was used as a midnless drone for Xehanort
His body was used for Mansex
Let hime fucking rest holy shit
Just because Ven’s relevant doesn’t mean Terra will be. Clearly every character will appear again, but Terra will never have a role as big as he did in BBS again.
Hopefully we get more scenes of Ven using his true strength maybe then you’ll finally shut up
Can't wait for Ven to get one-shotted by Gula before Sora saves him
We get it dude, you don't like the game. Do you need a cookie every time you remind us?
I listened to a minute of this dunky guys review and he sounded like a retard. i've chuckled at another clip of his but damn, he was just complaining about the stupidest shit
I've seen a few people say its perfect and tops everything, and I find that to be untrue.
You assume I don't?
Got to wonder how long Nomura will wait before pulling some bullshit where Xemnas, Ansem SoD, and young Xehanort all come back to help save the day.
No, I like the game, you can like a flawed game.
Cute fanfic
sperging in this thread because people enjoy a game your youtubers told you to not like it doesn't say a lot about having your own tastes
>got MoM
Alright
Good for you, then.
like clockwork
tick
Hey, I never said you can't like it now did I? I did not even say I disliked it. I just want people to understand its not perfect and has its flaws.
>Sora

Then just ask what people personally didn't like rather than cite various e-celebs which just comes off as "you can't like it because these people didn't"
>Replaying 3 for my lvl1 run
Wow, the first few bosses are utterly forgettable
>Suddenly the Gothel-tree boss fucking suplexes Sora
What the fuck? I never saw that shit in my first playthrough.
How do they correlate? I dont see the connection.
The moment where you into ‚get your light back‘ mode and fight shadownort, should have been the last phase of the fight instead of that just on attack scene
If I wanted you guys to not like a game because of some random internet people I would have just said "You should not like this game! Because all of these random people said it sucks!" Sorry if it came off that way. I only used them as examples, because they have all pointed out lots of similar flaws and in a lot of cases found it disappointing in the end. Which is telling.
I like to think of it as the darkness in him unleashed when he turned himself into a heartless in KH1. This whole time it resides and grows in him (as many others have). KH2 had that counter mechanic that made rage-form pop up when you advise using other forms, but it seems like in KH3 it always came by when Sora was low on health, almost like a survival instinct from his inner heartless. That's my head canon anyways
I wonder who's behind that post.

The results:
Xion > Namine = Olette > Kairi > Aqua
>there are people who only played KH1 and 2 before 3
>there are people who started with 3
Does the plot make sense to these people? Even with all the cutscenes, flashbacks and exposition I imagine it was still confusing as fuck
Made perfect sense to me though, all the way to the final cutscene, thank fuck I watched back cover
Guess the only thing that I found strange:
>rapunzel having the crown in her bag eventhough the mother founds it some seconds before
>terranort beeing there, instead of old terra.
Personally I can see Nomura saying that he pulled Ansem and Xemnas when they were dematerializing in their games. I can see that as an explanation of them staying in The Final World of the present. Since they technically had nothing to go back to and from there Sora can bring them back.
Terra was such a disappointment in 3
Were you not entertained when he grabbed face? It was hilarious
I just wish Terra wasn’t the comic relief character
KH never made sense and following it is literally impossible thanks to bullshit retcons and contrivances.
Time travel makes no fucking sense, worldlines asspull, nobodies becoming actual people with help of replicas is bullshit and I dont believe it.
Really what pisses me off the most is Xion and Roxas return in 3. Hype as fuck Other Promise/Vector arrange aside, RX are repeatedly said to be fucking detriments to Sora's existence in 2 and Days. Nobodies had no right to exist as stated by DiZ, and Xion was literally Sora's siphoned memories acting as a leech on his runaway body. Whycome these two malfesences can run amok just because they had unique experiences that Sora himself did not? That's pure bullshit.
They make it out as if Sora is a fucking heart incubator ever since KH1, I know, but he is nurturing other REAL PEOPLES Hearts, not what amounts to different aspects of himself.
Look up zodiac sign personality and you can see why.
>had the best scenes
>disappointment
I think you mean Ven
It's pretty much assumed that the scenes from the movie that we didn't see with Sora happened. So Flynn and Rapunzel visited the Drowning Duckling or whatever after they left to let Sora see Marluxia, and then Gothel gave the satchel back to Rapunzel before she and Flynn got on the boat for the lantern show. Same deal with the Frozen world, and that was really obvious how they didn't want Sora getting involved in its scenes.
You could argue he deserves credit for what Lingering Will did too
tick
Makes sense. I never watched Tangled, so that really bothered me when I saw it.
His scenes were lame, and I was expecting more out of Lingering Will.
He did nothing, he didn’t appear the first time and then becomes forgotten after his little Terranort fight. He saved no one, I just wanted Terra to be the chad who saves the day.
>Vencuck going for flaseflagging again
don't you get tired from that?
Filtered, stop being so paranoid
tick tock
Thread ruined by “him” again
It is a bit lame that such bits were essentially cut out, especially the bar scene since it's got a catchy song, and would be pretty fun to see Sora, Donald, and Goofy getting roped into it somehow.

>When your boys Donald and Goofy call out to you through the controller while you are in the "Game Over" screen
Only way it could have been better was if they had instead said
>Somebody come quick!
>I got it!
Barry? Don't think I've seen him for a few threads.
Vencuck. Some autisic fuck from /vg/
You're completely deaf to things like concepts like tone and the cameras framing.
Yes villains often think they're correct. But the protagonists always dispute with the villain and tell them to fuck off. They did it right with Ansem. They did it right with Xemnas. And then fucked it up with Xehanort. The way the scene is composed with the music and framing and how everyone acts is trying to make you as the viewer have sympathy for Xehanort too. Which I and most others fucking didn't.
>Sora and Kairi don't kiss.
>Will have to wait other 7+ multiconsole games for anything.
He's a walking meme. Fans like him and his silly "got it memorized" line so Nomura, the hack that he is, wrote a convoluted way to force him into the story and had him spew his catchphrase more than ever.

>When Xehanort literally took the light out of Sora and forces you into Anti Sora I lost my shit
I was hyped when I saw that too. It's a shame that I only saw it on someone else's playthrough. I don't know how, but apparently I somehow managed to beat Xehanort so quickly and easily that he didn't do that at all. I was playing on Proud and wasn't over-levelled at all, and all I did was just mash x. What the hell kind of boss has a DM that you can just fucking accidentally skip without noticing? It still did that neat thing with the fake game-over screen, but I missed half of the entire fight simply because it was too fucking easy.

The final boss sucked.

Speaking of data, it really is a shame Re:CoM didn't have a boss rush mode or something to fight bosses with your better decks. Would have been one way to make the grind less time consuming, and just be a fun way to test out strats on the bosses you couldn't before.
Very good!
*clap* *clap* *clap*
Except you literally cannot skip the DM as it's a hard HP gate. Retard.
However...

I'm glad they didn't any ridiculous flying bullshit like in kh1, the short af flying phase doesn't count

You're literally in the air in the first half of the fight, then underwater, then back in the air again until xehanort goes to the final arena

ardyn was a shitty boss fight
better villain tho
He did that whole thing where the stage became black and gold floating in space close with Kingdom Hearts in the background, but whatever move he was supposed to do that turns you into Rage Form either just did not happen or was somehow blocked. I never got beams of light shot at me, I never had to dodge and block all those attacks from the Xehanort clones, I just blinked and before I knew it his health was all the way down to 1.
Does changing into Keyblade forms block that move? I was using the Ultimate form because I wanted to finish him off with its finisher, so maybe that had something to do with it?
Fuck off barry, kys
You go fuck yourself you dumb waste of spunk. It's not my fault that this game's final boss has an ultimate move that can be fucking skipped, you giga-cunt.
