I'll be honest, I didn't play it. From what I've heard though, it just fixes some things and makes some things worse, so pretty much a zero sum game.

The real sin for me personally, is that people who bought DS2 on release didn't' get it for free or discounted, and it completely divided the playerbase and helped to dull/kill the multiplayer for DS2, which was literally my favorite part.
