To be fair, they're helping you stop Xemnus in KH2 so Maleficent can take over their castle. And she makes it pretty clear that she's going to try and kill Sora again once the Organization is dealt with.

Mage build gets good wheb you've beat the first set of worlds

You really just gotta learn when to attack. Mage build means you get some of the best defensive abilities pretty late in the game unfortunately, so just learn to be smart when you strike. Also until you get cure, always be packing potions. Later on if you're still having issues you can simply outlevel anything that bothers you

you might wanna do tarzan first if you haven't done so already
otherwise it's just a very long endurance battle
whittle his health down when he's vulnerable (which isn't very often), otherwise just focus on dodging

It's heavily, HEAVILY implied that Maleficent was told about the black box by the black hooded figure in the past. First off, she never even brings up the idea of the black box (or any black box) until KH3. In union X, the black robed figure also implied that it would teach Maleficent how to go back to the future even though it's supposed to be impossible. And in KH3, Maleficent says that "the box may not exist yet" at one point. I think the clear implication is that she heard about it in the past, and now she's waiting for it to appear in the present.

Mage builds are the least meme-y in KH1, if you're looking to honestly 100% the game. Mostly because it makes some stuff like getting 100 hits on that mushroom heartless a LOT easier. It gives you 2 extra MP you couldn't get anywhere else after all, while you can synthesize Defense and Attack ups. Though all this said, Proud isn't actually very hard at all so yeah

I still maintain that most people don't get Kingdom Hearts. It's gaming's first postmodernist masterpiece. A high fantasy epic constructed in large parts from Disney movies by tying them into a larger story with its own fully realized lore.

Making use of the game's movement is the name of the game when it comes to staying alive on Critical. You should definitely stay on top of leveling your Drive forms. Honestly, once you get the hang of your Growth Abilities, Critical Mode isn't bad at all outside of Level 1, but I can definitely see why you'd be struggling without them.

I doubt it'd kill him if he were armed with the X-Blade, but in his regular form, yeah probably. Even if it didn't kill Terranort, it still fucked him up big time, and Terranort was basically Master Xehanort, with all his skill and experience, in the body of a young man. Not counting MX's final form, he seemed like the strongest of the thirteen by a wide margin.

The secret ending shows him in the World Ends with You world, a place you go after you die. You need a partner to play the games and get your body back, hence Riku was also there as Sora's partner for the death games.

What law did Roxas break?

Aqua did pretty well for herself up until KH3, where every protagonist except Terra and Sora (and even him sometimes) got hit with the jobber stick.

It's one thing to want her to beat some super powerful villain one-on-one, and another to want her to not embarrass herself. She shows up, gets punked by Saix, kidnapped by Xemnas, and then merced by Xehanort without even really lifting a finger in protest. Having her train in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber turned out to be a complete waste of time.

I'm a bit into KH2, just cleared Timeless River.

Kingdom Hearts 1 was fairly shit. The gameplay hasn't held up at all, it's clunky and unfun. The story is completely uninteresting aside from a few moments at the end.
CoM had bad gameplay but the story was very compelling and I didn't mind pushing through it at all. Excellent world building and character development.
The intro to KH2 was amazing and I wonder what people who skipped CoM thought of it. I'm very interested to see where things go from here.

We can also extrapolate that it was intended to replace Sora as the 13th member since the plan to control Sora failed in DDD. Just like the original Xion, the plan probably was to have it take on Sora's appearance, but Vexen did his own thing as part of his plan to sabotage the Organization.

Over the last year I played through most of the games/watched cutscenes to get ready for 3. I enjoyed the games, but felt impatient just to know what happens before 3.
Now that I beat it, it really made me appreciate how perfect the first three games were and I wish I hadn't rushed them. After I beat RE2 I'm going back to really enjoy 1, COM, and 2 in their fullness

There is a high quality and low quality option in the settings, that one is low quality. But yes it isn't great, I prefer KH2's engine.

I do like the idea that everyone just accepts Sora will get the job done in the end even if they think he’s dense
