I know seems lame, since you don't get to do any of the heroic stuff, like killing bosses and stuff. But if you're the leader of the party, doesn't it make sense for you to be in the back supporting the others? Healers are the most important class, after all; the party would literally be dead without them. Also, since you heal people instead of hurt them, it makes you more likable to your party members and random strangers.
Have you ever played as a healer in a single-player RPG?
I recall beating some of the more challenging optional bossfights in FFXIII by playing either the Medic (healer) or Sentinel (tank), letting the AI controlled team mates do DPS moves, as that's the only field they kinda excel at.
Took some time, but it was still exciting AF, as if your Leader dies, it's Game Over.
>it makes you more likable to your party members and random strangers
That's not how RPGs work user.
Sounds a bit like a necro/summoner. Superficially, of course.
A bunch of minions do all the damage, but you still have stuff to do like supporting them from the backline.
i tend to try but generally the healer is pretty bad to have as main character because the player character becomes stronger then the average npc and having a beast support character doesnt really matter.
Yeah, I know there's usually no system for that, but if you're role-playing that they like you, then it feels pretty good.
Playing a single player game as the healer would be cool, but I don't remember many with that as an option for the MC, at most they get a few skills so they can be a backup healer in tough fights
wait i think i saw this anime before, the girl is a Dullahan.
No. Why would you? Are you a cuck? If you dont play full on Hand-to-Hand DPS you might as well be a girl, gayass.
Imagine having this jobber as the main character
Never.
A group leader should be on the front lines tanking for his mates, not standing in the back spamming healing touch over and over.
Best girl, others are stupid whores, especially Bat.
Can't wait for invisible girl tho
SMT: Nocturne is fully viable as healer since buffing/debuffing is detrimental.
And also because only the MC can use healing items for some retarded reason
The bat's slut imouto is good too
I had to control the healer in Tales of Innocence because the game's difficulty was completely broken.
It's easier to throw my body at whatever is causing trouble and then chug a gorillian potions.
being a healer is like sucking dick.
Most people don't want to do it. But everyone wants it done too them. The more people involved the more people bitch about not getting any.
I did a 4 white mages run in Final Fantasy 1 dawn of souls
Once you get a Wizard Rod in the volcano that lets them cast Black magic it became pretty simple to beat. The challenge before that point was pretty fun.
I it felt repetitive giving each character the same equipment, though. So I decided to only get 3 of each item and distribute it around.
There was one girl who didn't get a helmet.
One who wouldn't use a hammer.
One girl who wouldn't wear gloves.
And one girl who wasn't allowed to wear a robe.
It's a small change, but it made the characters a bit more unique that way, I think.
Because the mc is the one holding the items? What are the demons gonna do, walk up to him and get the items from his pockets?
I played Cleric in NWN (original campaign when it was released) for quite some time and used the elf cleric chick as a companion
It was really dumb but really fun
Cleric is far more than a healer. Healing is probably the least effective thing you could do with them, even, at least until you unlock Heal.
