Depends, animals will find ways to get your attention when they want it, with cats this usually means blocking your computer, but they can also do things like SLOOOOWLY sliding a glass to the edge of the table so it will fall down or try whining like a dog if they notice it is effective.

Note that there are exceptions and ain't entirely exclusive to cats, ultimately animals are individuals with individual temperaments, generalizations are practical but there are some WEIRD individuals out there, Cats and Dogs.

I have never had a animal of mine damage any of my electronics though.
