No.

what is, then?

FFX or Silent Hill HD

>finally get to play as Wario in a mainstream Mario game
No, it was based

Sonic Genesis.

All the new features are great but it's all ruined by awful controlls

That totally watered down and safe artstyle that Mario still never totally got away from. I can't believe the remake of one of my favorite games was the beginning of this shit.

>starfox 64 3ds
>ocarina of time 3ds
>majora's mask 3ds

>mario 64 ds

fucking why

That started on the gamecube m8

I actually got used to moving around using that thumb thing on the screen to emulate analogue movement, it still sucked tho lol

The DS launch was fucking barren. Shit didn’t pick up until the next year

all stars is as bad or worse

Attached: remake_SMB3_all.jpg (1472x2792, 946K)

Attached: remake_64_2.jpg (1000x3500, 768K)

SMB3 is in my top 5 games of all time and the remake is my go to version.

Attached: 1309.png (240x125, 7K)

good for you dummy

I am surprised there was never an attempt at modding All Stars to recreate the NES aesthetics.

whiny cunt

Low res as fuck nigger

What made the controls so bad exactly? I remember them being fine, but I only ever played through it once and that was probably like 12 or 13 years ago.

90% of the remake models are better than in the original

no analog stick in a 3d game

Wrong

Correct

There is nothing wrong with this game, at launch or now. Shut up you bunch of queers.

How is it on the Wii U? they released it for the virtual console

yeah clearly a d-pad is the superior option to analog stick in a 3d platforming game

Nothing can possibly top this.

Attached: 6BE69818-DBC5-4DE3-A7F2-B57D1203BD91.jpg (1136x640, 619K)

Because most people aren't autistic enough to care.

Generic dinosaur half a press

Fuck no, it was mind blowing getting to play this on the go back when it came out.

I don't understand your post.

Mario 64 was released on the DS. The rest were released on the 3DS.

What is the... "issue", madam?

Why would you be surprised about such a thing?
One could play the original NES game for NES aesthetics. Crazy thought, I know, but it works. Playing games will show the game you are playing. Wow, what a concept!

romhackers are.

soul / souless

Redpill me on FFX

no way, it's way fucking better than the original.
I was actually able to 100% this version, unlike the original.

how did they look at this and think it was ok to ship?

Attached: remake_adv_cliffs.jpg (1427x570, 247K)

What's the point? The only difference between them is the graphics so why would you put the NES graphics into All-Stars when you could just play the NES version?

>All Stars
>bad

Objectively wrong.

What the fuck are you talking about?

Attached: static1.squarespace.com.jpg (1500x844, 144K)

retarded criticism
what's wrong with platforms floating

The whole remake's surreal as fuck, that particular screen doesn't stand out. It's different from the original but consistent with the rest of the remake.

legitimately one of the best final fantasy games in existence, and among the best ones to start with to boot.
PC port got gutted animations and weird looking models. They are higher res and higher poly, but they were modeled by lesser talent and it shows.
The animation engine wad trademarked so they had to replace it with diamond dozen lip syncing.
PS2 is the best looking still.

Attached: 1x4BLoG.png (478x305, 354K)

Allstars is a huge improvement, except with the caves. That's a terrible change, the lack of darkness makes it look like you could be 1ft under ground, playing in lose dirt, where in the original it used simplistic graphics to really give a feel of being far down.

everyone looks like a weird kingdom hearts anime dude instead of people like they used to.

Attached: YCCPQkX.jpg (784x351, 84K)

Don't be a prick, someone could just want the quality of life benefits of AllStars plus the NES colors.
Just personal taste. I like the usage of black and baby blue in the original SMB3 for example. I wonder how well it would look with better graphics. With pallet swaps being a thing in romhacks it just seems like an obvious experiment.

>Is this the worst remake/remaster of all time?
Hold my apple cider.

Attached: this is why we can't have nice things.jpg (2258x1503, 337K)

Lol. Aight, my bad. Why don't you do it yourself then?

Because it better resembled the anime, which all the GBA and DS games suffered from due to pushing for synergy. It's why we got shit like Dedede being three times Kirby's size (he's only supposed to be about double) and Nightmare taking up half the screen.

>tfw unironically bought FFVI on mobile
>no option to switch to classic sprites/music
clown world

No, this is
>Hahahaha fuckers you though it was gonna have new stuff and the beta content the original didn't? Well fuck you nerd, we didn't even fix the bugs hehe *snort*

Attached: 81ETnWT1QlL._SL1500_.jpg (1500x1336, 251K)

64 DS is pretty good, it has enough new/remixed content to stand as a separate game from its original rather than a complete replacement or inferior in every way.

I played all stars first so the nes version doesn’t resonate with me as much.

Because that's not the goal of this short discussion.

Not very good, you still only have 8 directions

>diamond dozen

You got me there user. But seriously Tidus's new face alone stops me from ever picking it up

>He did not like playing as Luigi or Wario in a 3D mario game for the first time ever

Faggot.

>expecting anything but a straight remake

You only have yourself to blame for hyping yourself up with unrealistic expectations.

Luigi's Mansion and Wario World are better

emulate.

Attached: Final.Fantasy.X.full.1151394.jpg (1440x1080, 938K)

>adds new characters and new levels to the game
No.

>Allstars is a huge improvement

Attached: soul1.jpg (651x568, 188K)

Soul never existed. It's just preference for older or newer graphics.

The thing is if they wold have done that retards like you will sperg 24/365 about how souless it is

doooo itttttttt

Does it actually do anything worse than the og though?

no, soul absolutely exists, and it's more prevalent in older game since they didn't have off the shelf engines and assets like new games do.

>starfox 64 3ds
It wasnt that bad just as good as the original it just got minor dialogue changes

are III and IV good at least? do they have a portrait mode?

>hold both up and right button
>go diagonally
>going too diagonally
>let off on the right or up button as needed

nah literally all FF ports are utter shit except 9

"Soul" is a meaningless term. Get over it.

How are off the shelf engines soulless?

Attached: 999999-045496742812.jpg (460x421, 56K)

what's up with 9?

It's significantly better than the original, though.

Never played 64 so I got this when I bought the DS and it was great.

it's good.

Too bad he's inarguably the worst one to play s out of all the 4

Clown world indeed
youtube.com/watch?v=NcMDlgdnZPI

IV was great on DS, but the one on Steam is a phone port of the DS remake. I don't think it's VI levels of bad but the UI sucks. Watch a video on youtube and decide for yourself

Attached: Kefka_amano.jpg (670x900, 95K)

Literally just an inferior stick

elaborate why 9 is good and other remakes are bad

>Soul never existed
as expected, an allstarsfag doesnt understand soul, what a suprise

this and silent hill HD

t.soulless bugman goydev

Allstars is fine.
The real villain is SMB Advanced Series
>HERE I GO
>JUST WHAT I-JUST WHAT I-JUST WHAT I NEEDED
>LUCKYLUCKYLUCKYLUCKY
>T H I S I S A S F A R A S Y O U G O

The lightning is objectively worse. most other changes are a matter of taste,

Silent Hill HD Collection is still the worst. Badly-done ports like Sonic GBA are always going to be terrible, but the SH Collection was bad in so many unique ways I have to believe it was deliberate. Fuck you Hulett, you hunk of cheese.

9 keeps the original aesthetic. Only the UI is shit but there's mods to fix it.
Squaresoft has a tendency of deleting source codes and shit.

Completely misses the theme of the original. Instead of being organic flat tops it’s just senseless platforms like a soulless jungle gym.
Bubbly clouds and ice cream Island look even worse.

>have to hold a button to run and the character has a startup from walk until run when the original was instant
They fucked up so hard

Attached: bowsette condom.jpg (1500x2000, 1.44M)

Only subjective shit like "muh lighting"
It's objectively better on graphical fidelity, gameplay, QoL changes, fps, gameplay, etc.

If they keep the textures they showed off at E3, Metal Wolf Chaos will be up there

I can get the same amount of pleasure from playing a game supposedly made with "soul" as one that's "soulless". What I like, I play regardless.

That's all "soul" is, just a fancy term for what you like to play.

Ds 64 is way better than m64.

I tolerated the stupid bug eyes even though they ruined the mood on oodaboogaloogiehoogie and GOTE but man
I got to the zora at the beach
remembering clearly he made a woAAHH sound

he didn't make it
he was just some dying fish man who couldn't go woah
last straw man screw this remake they made stylistic changes at the expense of what I remember and who the hell else is gonna buy a remake but someone trying to replay something they hadn't touched in years

No analog stick.
Meaning that A) you were stuck to 8 directional movement in a fully 3D game built around an analogue stick.
B) To run you have to be holding Y constantly.

>OOAAAOOO
>HEE-YAAA
>I’LLLL REMEMBER THIS

>Basically the same game but with more content
>Worse
The only objectively shitty thing was making you start with Yoshi
>But muh dpad
Play it on a 3DS then faggot.

I never had a problem with that.

SMB3 was fine. It was SMB1 and The Lost Levels that were ruined beyond hope. It's a meme, but they really made them soulless.

>lighting is subjective
Retard who doesn't understand atmosphere

Attached: zelda 3ds vs n644.jpg (1800x4200, 1.57M)

>we didn't even fix the bugs hehe *snort*
They actually 'fixed' a useful bug by making a new one. The infinite Skulltula trick was hammered out to the point that it saves the fact it was collected instantly, but it's possible to lock yourself out of 100 Skulltulas by collecting it but turning off the game without saving. That Skulltula won't reappear in that instance unless you start the game over completely.

>Trying to attach emotion to a product that only exists to be bought, used, and eventually thrown away regardless of the effort put into it

Lighting, which is the only real arguable issue. And it had a lot of the minor adjustments like Fire Temple music, blocks and mirror shield symbol, and the removal of Ganondorf coughing blood.
It does so much better than the original from the expanded item loadout, being able to quick equip boots, the boss rush mode, etc.

No, you see it's actually the best because it's the one I played as a kid. Just get used to the controls.

Attached: Screen Shot 2019-02-26 at 10.05.59 AM.png (205x200, 84K)

I would assume that the symbol didn't mean anything, and they removed it because they didn't want people drawing false conclusions. Or is there something more to this that I'm missing?

they were all bad, 1 and lost levels were extra bad because of the ruined physics

Go back to the YouTube comments section Yoshigamer2009, that doesn't fucking solve anything

FFX HD isn't anywhere near the level of Silent Hill HD.

>game is online all the time
>locked into Hard mode
>some save points are removed in dungeons
>micro-transactions
>Only lasted a few months before being shut down

What a mess

It's objectively a downgrade to the core functions of a platformer.
>Slash-No Slash argument is literally from the opposite side of the tree.

Attached: YesAnd.jpg (141x193, 22K)

>I would assume that the symbol didn't mean anything, and they removed it because they didn't want people drawing false conclusions
Literally the George Lucasing of video games.

the issue is the 3ds is one game short of being an n64 wonder-machine

This
>Physics are fucked six-ways to Sunday (you can bounce on top of the first boss)
>Main draw is a feature that Sonic Jam had years earlier.
>You can just play Sonic Advance, which runs and generally is better in every way.
Though I suppose one can argue its a port.

>first argument is dogshit muddy town with 3 color shades that is supposed to be cheerful and happy vs an actual colorful and cheerful happy town
kys autist

>lets remove every interesting detail because people might actually have thoughts about them

>my medieval fantasy town should look like Disneyland!
Fuck off nu-nintendo zoomer

There's so many shittier remasters than that but because Silent Hill has this autistic cult like following surrounding it of course they're gonna be the most vocal. Survival horror fans are some of the most insufferable people in the medium. It's the "it's supposed to be shit" mentality taken to its most logical extreme.

Attached: remake_A_04.jpg (1277x397, 173K)

A major symbol in Zelda games is the triforce. If I see some kind of altered version of the triforce, I'm going to assume it means something. If there is no meaning behind it, it's only logical to take it out.

FFXIII-2 on PC won’t play

skull kong was too soulful for modern audiances

Attached: remake_BIS_001.jpg (1600x900, 359K)

>no music
>lack of explorable Raccoon City, goes directly to the police station
>bullet sponge zombies
>Claire is ugly
>B routes are literally the same as A routes

Attached: resident-evil-2-remake-1124269[1].jpg (655x812, 76K)

III's odd. It's a 3D remake like IV, but it was Square's first DS outting, and it shows with stuff like only four enemies on screen and stuff like that. It's also loyal to the Famicom version's structure in various ways (dungeons are untouched, spells still use the charge system despite the GBA ports switching to mana, etc) and they seemingly didn't have faith in the new story elements since they axed most of it at one point in production.
That said, it still plays already and the job balance is better than the famicom version to the point that even the earliest jobs have their uses.
Though if you go for the III remake, you should try for the PSP version instead since it has a few QoL upgrades.

ganon only coughed blood in the japanese version. he coughed green blood in na tho

What a disappointment.

The very first US release of OoT had him cough red blood. This was very quickly changed in later versions.

>>no music
I think it goes well with the atmosphere and most of the music that is in game is great
>>lack of explorable Raccoon City, goes directly to the police station
You just explore it later, there is even an orphanage now
>>bullet sponge zombies
Play on assisted
>>Claire is ugly
Subjective
>>B routes are literally the same as A routes
This one i agree but we got the ghost survivors in exchange so is not THAT bad

Majora's Mask

Lol no.

Attached: 1534838190694.jpg (1938x1000, 580K)

Have you actually seen what was bungled and changed in SH HD or are you reflexively assuming it's a YMMV situation? SH HD fucked up so many things the didn't have to, including a pointless and inferior retranslation of SH2. It's worth looking into just to see for yourself how inept the decisions made were.

It fixed the shitty Gyorg fight, so I'm pretty happy

>That's all "soul" is, just a fancy term for what you like to play.
Soul is a buzzword now, but your definition is even more retarded.

No dude, SH HD is legitimately one of the worst. Few remasters are based on incomplete code of the final game and have 100x the glitches the original had. It's completely warranted to be held up as one of the worst.

At least shit like SM64 DS or FFX HD, as posted in this thread, are functioning games.

Silent Hill or Majora's Mask.

>Play it on a 3DS then faggot.
are you dumb or pretending

only the mask shop like out of disneyland but that's actually fitting

Silent hill 2

>slash/no slash
lmao what the fuck
who makes these

>we didn't even fix the bugs
there are barely any bugs in OoT so who cares

The only bad one here is ganon. I don't know why so many modern games struggle with dark scenes.

Ahem

Attached: share_icon-fb_en-us[1].jpg (1200x630, 260K)

That's a god damn travesty.

Maybe the increased effort of making good enough 3D models pressure the devs to show them off.
Or it's just them foolproofing for a retarded userbase in case they get scared of the dark.

All that stuff got removed in later versions on the N64, so I never really thought they'd get brought back anyway.

If they but it there in the first place it would have had some meaning. Removing it because you've changed your mind is disingenuous.

>atmosphere is not being able to see shit because of hardware limitations

Or it was a quirk of the lighting?

I bought this along Spyro and couldn’t bring myself to even finish the first game. Spyro I 100% (112% or whatever) in a week because of how much fun I had so I was really bummed when Crash didn’t click again like it did back then.

Sonic GBA, and FF6 mobile

Personally, I just find the remake's version of Gyorg more tedious. The underwater bit sucks.

>seriously listing Claire being ugly as a point

so you’re just a nitpicking faggot.

>"having to press another button to run is much better than just doing it with the stick!"
>tilting the stick slightly is awkward!

I bet he also needs special gloves when spinning Bowser.
He said that the walking function is basically useless, meaning that on the original you would just move the stick normally and that's it. If that is the case, why would it be the standard making you have to press a button all the time to run?

>Game didn't even attempt to rebalance itself

>N64 controller is uncomfortable meme
video discarded

the moon looks arguably worse and so does the sun symbol
also the astronomy is less colorful

Anybody who picks up both games can tell 64 is superior. There's a startup to the run on DS that didn't even need to exist even with a run button

Clearly all of the Mario & Luigi Remakes

All stars made smb2 good

>that is the case, why would it be the standard making you have to press a button all the time to run?

Because Mario is intended to be accessible and walking in the original requires more careful use of the control scheme than running. Even though walking is a feature that benefits newer players.

It's easier to expect a skilled player to hold a run button than it is to expect a less skillful player to manage the control stick.

Entirely subjective. Such a worthless post.

Super Mario Land 3.

>He said that the walking function is basically useless, meaning that on the original you would just move the stick normally and that's it. If that is the case, why would it be the standard making you have to press a button all the time to run?
Because they probably wanted some way for you to move slowly, for whatever the reason may be, and the D-Pad didn't have that luxury.

wew

>Sonic Adventure DX

it sucks dude

Fake Mario game, just like Mario Land 1 and 2. Except this one embraces the fakeness to much-better results.

>than it is to expect a less skillful player to manage the control stick.
I have never ever seen anyone struggle with holding the stick slightly, unless you're an arthritic geriatric patient then you're just plain retarded. Not even children have problems with that.
>Even though walking is a feature that benefits newer players
The only times walking is really used is when you have to avoid waking up piranha plants that are present in, like, 2 stages. and you quickly learn that you can just, idk, go around them or jump from a distance.
>Because they probably wanted some way for you to move slowly, for whatever the reason may be, and the D-Pad didn't have that luxury.
It would have been smarter to leave running as the standard movement and have you press a button to walk, which is used in , like, 2% of the gameplay, rather than the other way around. It's just a shitty hardware limitation that was handled poorly.

>Mario land is a fake mario game
wew

It fucked with a ton of the lighting and textures, and due to the frame rate being raised, the physics engine has some issues. For instance, randomly falling through floors or walls while turning.

yeah but one has more SOUL

soulless vs soulless

3 and 4 (DS) are good, as is Origins and the PSP and GBA versions. Everything else is a garbage mobile port

>It was in Gunpei Yokoi's mind. He considered being made to make Mario game as an insult to his talents.

Seems more like he was a bit salty he got surpassed by Miyamoto. Since I recall reading Yamauchi used to pit different internal teams aginst each other and Miyamoto's teams routinely made the bigger franvhises.

The right look fine.

>Soul vs More Soul

>All Stars is as bad or worse
>Based on the pic I downloaded a while ago

No, it's actually pretty great, especially on 3DS, if you're not an autist.

It was the lightning engine, or how basic and shit it was, you idiot.

Mega Man the wily wars

why are most of these "it's worse because it's brighter", there are some legit reasonings, but most of the lightning complaints have no bearing on the actual quality

Much better if you don't mind the controls. New stars, more characters, and minigames what more can you ask for?

"Soul" is just a pedestrian way of saying "je ne sais quoi

Superstar Saga

Nightmare in Dreamland wasn't that bad. Outside of botching some visuals the rest of the game is fairly intact.

Metal Gear Twin Snakes is the real worst, even Kojima hated it.

How about messing up the hitboxes because of redesigning the characters to look like they do in the anime?

It didn't really make the game that much worse
Honestly what's with the hate for Nightmare in Dreamland recently?

Not that. It's only crime was that run button.

Is the GBA version worth playing?

>Right
>Left
>Right but with left's lighting
>Left (maybe right with left's lighting)
>Either
>Left
>Right

The dub lines are hilarious but the game runs at an absolutely goddawful framerate so I'd say no

My hate comes from how it was the start of the GBA/DS Kirby era where they based the games off the anime's designs and characterizations, which compared to Sakurai's games and the Dark Matter storyline was a severe downgrade.

is the PS3 version any good?

Super Mario All Stars

Make the astronomy rainbow and fix the moon
most of the game looks fine

actually i made this pic and just updated it this week. not that it natters how old the pic is because both games have been out for over 20 years

The Gyorg n64 battle was total trash. It might be "muh eyes" but at least it was miles better in the 3ds version

There's literally nothing wrong with Starfox 3DS though

Hell yes. It uses the same models as the original game but uses the high res-versions of the textures instead so the art style is still the same. It also runs at 60FPS on 720p.

I think the PS3 version is the best version unless you emulate the PS2 version on a decent PC. It's just too laggy on the original PS2.

Left or right?

absolutely not, a remaster of this that actually supports analog sticks would be the definitive way to play sm64.

Left, if only for the fact that the UI is actually functional.

They made the camera better, added 3 playable characters, mini games and rabbits to catch with the keys, a run button, and extra levels.

For a port to a new handheld system in 2006, I think Sm64ds did a good job at showing what the DS could handle, being an (arguably) improved upon version of the first good 3d platformed from 10 years prior.

Left. I mean as much shit I give Echoes for not fixing the maps I'll give credit where it's due for better visuals, artstyle and characters

I'll see this and raise you the Mario Advance ports, with their smaller screens and grating voice acting.

Should a remake aim to fix flaws from the original game like fix the poor level design or underused game mechanics, or just stick with remaking the visuals?

people always say this but it strikes me as a toss up every time

Considering how enormous the Mario 64 hacking scene is, is there a hack that ports all of 64DS's additions to the original version yet?

both, really
>remake
use the old game as a basis to recreate it from the ground up, completely changing gameplay and/or rebalancing it for a more modern experience, can usually be separated from the original as its own game in some cases
>remaster
update the assets to make the game feel more modern, address any major gameplay exploits, glitches, and/or framerate issues
>port
1:1 version of the game, upped resolution and higher framerate at best. Some things may be changed if it relied on gimmicks (motion controls, touch screens, other special controllers)

Notice all those subjective adjectives describing the original. Not an actual single reason as to why it is bad. This is why people hate nostalgia fags.

People praise the 3 characters but all it really does is spread out the stars and powerups in a dumb way
Also Wario is terrible in this game

Where did all this sudden hate for All Stars come from? Guess I've been living under a rock cause nobody was talking like this years ago.

That FFVI remake

Literally all of them look better in the remake version

it came from autistic shitposters that use the "soul" meme buzzword

Not surprising, Yea Forums seems to enjoy parroting any meme that some random joe makes on the board, making any discussion of said game impossible from then on.

lttp

Super Mario 64 DS was just a PR stunt to show people that a handheld system could run a console game.

Anyone in this thread who said Majora's Mask is correct and intelligent.
Anyone who said anything else is misinformed.

LMAO

Mario 64's visuals have aged poorly even by the standards of the time, those smeared blurry textures look awful.

Excellent point. No one's defending the fidelity of the visuals. It's all about the things like design and color choices.

people have know the physics were broken since the game came out. not my fault you were too dumb to notice

If you really unironically actually think that the shittiest remake out there is the shittiest just because of its graphics and not controls, mechanics, then you're an idiot.

>there are barely any bugs in OoT
Holy fuck I don't think I have ever seen someone be so wrong in my entire life.

>make game thats the corner stone of analog movement
>make remake on system with no analog stick
it was the best it could be i guess

New dino looks more unique and better

broken physics?

sorry but SA1 was all soul

Yes, but please note that the game is much harder due to some detection and frame issues. Colossi shake a fuck ton more in the PS3 version, sometimes wander literally cannot get a grip on anything. It makes the hard mode/time trials stupidly hard, which is why the Platinum trophy is so rare

No point when you can patch SM64 for VC with widescreen and 60 fps.

Remakes are inherently bad.

The lighting is this way so the 3d mode on the 3ds looks clearer.

The same thing happened with the luigi's mansion remake.

>posts a good remake

Nah Link just took some Claratin

>Tries to be Metroid 1, Fusion, and Super at the same time, creating a weird mish-mash of games
>Chozo statues steamroll you into a set path and give away item location
>Sequence-breaks are made intentional, missing the point as to why they are such a big deal in Metroid games
>Uncharacteristic stealth sequence in the third act

Star Fox Zero

Spyro Reignited
>no totally new content, so no incentive to buy it if you already own the originals
>fuck load of bugs that weren't there before
>load times are slower than the PSX games
>turned cutesy cartoon shit into furfag degeneracy
>has effectively made talking about the originals impossible

All but one chozo statues can be skipped.
You're right about sequence breaks, but at least it has them. Prime's sequence breaks are all glitches and other games in the series can barely be said to have a sequence at all. I'm actually working on a romhack that'll insert a number of new sequence breaks into the game without changing the core sequence too much.
I like the stealth section, the level design is pretty good. There are lots of shortcuts that require good wall jumping execution to slip by.

He wants to say that he wishes Mario 64 DS would've been on the 3DS instead

It includes the original game emulated. I can't complain at all.

Maverick Hunter X is unironically bad,

Silent Hill HD
If meme tier isn't allowed, then REmake HD

Unlike every other remake in the thread, Zero Mission was not outsourced. It was the last Metroid game to ever be made in-house and they wasted that precious dev cycle on a remake when it could have and should have been an original game.

the original backgrounds were something else, who made them? was it a team of people or just one guy?

>Unlike every other remake in the thread,
Not him but there are other remakes made in house, in this thread.

SOULLES

Holy shit what game is this?

That's nice.

The original backgrounds were lost because Capcom threw them out. They didn't throw out RE0's though, which is why they still look good.

It wasn't bad, but it wasn't amazing.

Feel like it was just a game to show what the DS was capable of.

ironic shitposting is still shitposting

Absolutely 100% based

Don't forget the bizarre comic book artstyle, even though Metroid has nothing to do with comics.

And speaking of remakes with hideous comic book visuals

Attached: 61ZwZ-j3kxL.jpg (500x417, 67K)

The only problem I ever had with the controls is turning around.
In 64, I could flick the stick to instantly turn around and adjust my orientation easier.
In DS, when ever you try to quickly press in the other direction to turn around, your character will always turn around in an awkward semi-circle arc instead of just snapping to the other direction. That one minor flaw is what costs me 90% of my deaths in DS.

cherry picking and not even doing a good job of it
