GTA V's story turned out to be shit, and the dlc promised was actually given in IV, unlike V which promised single player story dlc and never delivered

All GTA IV threads are made by one guy, he admitted it once.

Also, I always liked IV, I looked forward to it so much, I've passed that game maybe like 20 times, and the story dlc was actually tying in to stuff from the main one, there were moments where the stories cross, it's great honestly.
I like how dark it is, I like the cars, the way guns feel, the way they really capture the immigrant experience (albeit with massive amounts of chaos) but it's very relatable having grown up with illegal immigrant parents.
And here's my big thing, GTA V had more spoken lines, but GTA IV SAID MORE.

Like I have no idea wtf anyone even said in V except for Lamar (best character desu, underused as fuck). But the conversations and little decisions in IV, I remember those, I remember how it felt to be treated like shit every time, how it felt to have to make a decision about these characters living or dying, we kill them all the time, but R* made us look them in the face.

Nope. I've only beaten GTA4 once and didn't give me that much impression. I've played GTA5 three times and I enjoyed it.

The GTA4 DLCs gave me better impression though

Personally I have always liked 3 and IV because I enjoy the "big city in autumn" feel, and that is a big plus for me.
Gameplay wise I admit that III is the most aged and primitive of the 3D era ones, and while V did make a lot of improvements, I believe that their choice to wait out the 7th gen while obviously a great economic move, was not a completely justifiable move from a consumer perspective as it can quickly become apparent all the cuts they had to do

V has side activites locked behind properties which cost hundreds of thousands of dollars which you can only really afford by the end of the game.

Sure GTASA has casinos and horse races, but where do you spend the money when modding cars and buying save houses doesn't cost much?
Sure it has arcade machines, dancing, pool and basketball, but all those are entertaining only for a couple of minutes.
Sure it has dating, but doing the same thing 20 times for a car is not worth it.
Sure it has collectibles, but it's not worth getting them unless you're going for 100%.
GTAV got it right with side quests, businesses can give you some unique missions too. I wish hunting minigame had more things going on with it and I wish 100% completion wasn't such a letdown. It just gives you a chance to see UFO and fake bigfoot, at least in GTASA you got something that you could actually use. The whole situation is kinda weird, devs throw in some "easter egg hunt" material, but not actual easter eggs and community just eats it up and overanalyzes everything.

the kids of 2009 weren't mature enough for realistic driving model. Now most of those people have driving licenses and know that cars are kind of unstable like that with no traction control and can appreciate, how good it was in GTA4 aside from other realistic implementations

driving model? It was realistic for the type of game it was, in my opinion. GtaV is like kids game compared. I enjoy simracing and I have had driving license for 13 years already, 1 year professional, so I don't think I'm wrong.

why? It runs smoothly on modern machines. Add some ENB and realistic traffic mod and it becomes amazing.

I don't know, its not installed for me at the moment, but I recall needing for grip no matter the car. I don't think there was big difference between brakes either.

Well, install it again. I played it recently and it was good. The only issue I had was with Sultan RS, which should be less drifty because of AWD and sporty suspension
