the general complaint I see is that it is too large for a handheld device. but they'll probably try to make a cheaper more affordable version, so instead of making a smaller handheld and cutting the tv-play, I suppose if they wanted to make the lite-version that basically every console gets these days, they will scratch the portable mode instead, no built-in screen, built-in speakers, built-in wi fi, built-in battery etc. Essentially what they will do is the PS Vita TV edition. I have a pair of bluetooth overear headsets that last 15-20 hours on a single charge, but they're just some cheapo chinese model

Desktop headset last anywhere from 8-20 hours tops because they use a stronger signal(usually a 2.4 band) to maintain audio fidelity, whereas bluetooth is optimised for minimal battery input

Been doing that since 4u and was a life saver when stuck in a hotel room with free wifi for generations ultimate

I's stronger when you talk about substainable performace. IPhone X quickly downclock hard when you aren't doing a benckmark (both to safe battery and because it heats). Switch's large battery and active coolign are quite a boom. Only mistake was being to cheap to have NV make a custom Tegra that repalced the hor garbage A57 cores with a more modern A71 or A72. Would have really helped the switch, as it's main issue is the garbage CPU part.

MH is great for portable play.
3U is fantastic because the Wii U version works with the 3DS version and me and my friends could chill out and play that at my place.

He's not wrong though. The DS has two main processors, an ARM9 for all the main stuff (game logic, rendering, etc...) and an ARM7 coprocessor which does all the misc stuff and GBA BC

Glass screens are more scratch resistant, and can actually be quite durable (gorilla glass). Plastic screens can still crack or break, they scratch easily, and they look like shit when compared to a proper glass screen.

Its bad. If you ping your switch when its using wifi while playing a game, you'll see massive ping spikes because of queueing of packets on the dreadful implementation of the hardware. It gets starved of CPU resources so it just queue packets until it gets some.

It's the truth, I've had multiple cell phones, a laptop, a GBA and a DS that I've broken screens on from drops or being knocked around in my bag. Those all have plastic screens.

My current phone, tablet and laptop all have gorilla glass screens and I haven't broken any of them yet. But I also have started taking better care of my shit after having a few things break on me.

The biggest problem on the Switch right now is terrible CPU performance. More memory and a faster GPU won't do much if the CPU can't keep up.

For one thing the default MTU is 1400 when it should be 1500 (maybe 1400 is the standard in Japan or something???), the captive portal support is godawful because the web browser was half-assed due to not being a regular feature of the console, the 5GHz wifi sometimes just doesn't work

I don't give a shit about portability my only gaming time is at home, 720p/900p look like absolute trash on my 4k tv and I want more than just indie games on my system.

Yeah I'm pissed at Nintendo and I'm not the only one. Nintendo used to have a great multiplatform support up to GC and could also rival with it's competitors. Now the only way to play Nintendo games without garbage graphics is to play on emulators.
