At least it didn't explode the red barrel behind him
The FN P90 is the best revolver, hands down.
Post Fallout guns
I'm upset
There’s a whole board epitome of /k/ hates and is /m/
Analyze this for a second. This is a game based around sniping, and it made the conscious choice to make the shots go in slow motion with highly detailed rounds getting fired, but didnt actually research at all what actually happens when you fire a gun? A mothefucker made this.
All they had to do was place the drum closer to the trigger. Why oh why did they do this.
I want to like the P90 but I just fucking hate the way it looks. The barrel is either super stubby with the body coming to a flat surface or super long with the same thing, if the P90 looked more like pic related I think I could like it more.
>everyone keeps eyeballing the round
take a good look how he adjust the sights. everything zooms in but the optics and the hand
o-oh
maybe they saw the aug and were like.. what if we had the mag drum forward instead!
>The barrel is either super stubby with the body coming to a flat surface or super long with the same thing
The whole point of the P90 is that it's barrel is long for an SMG.
this almost got adapted if not for soviet union collapse.
I think he means purely visually. It looks like a dumpy fish.
don't see it, looks like SVD
what the fuck
I would like to see a pic of /k/ users tbqh
Is that a FAMAS?
What's so triggering about this one? The slide sliding forward when ejecting the magazine?
did you miss the eye-patch?
Hes actually using his left eye because the right eye is gone.
Im actually mad at this.
Yeah, I was speaking purely visually.
>Dual weapons
>100% accurate
Why this retarded crap is a thing in video games?
well you fucking succeeded
wat game?
>Barrel shroud on Full length barrel
vs
>SBR
You can have both user.
There is literally nothing wrong with that though. It's for technical reasons to improve framerate
It's fine though this could be a functional mag, it's basically just a mag-extension for a normal under-barrel magazine shotgun.
>he thinks he is looking through the scope with his blind eye
are you being this stupid on purpose?
PAYDAY 2 actually did it pretty well with a major accuracy and stability penalty to using akimbo weapons unless you invested into skills to alleviate it.
Yeah, I'm upset. Just another day.
REEE
Did you guys know the name of the AR-15 comes from the fact that its the 15th Assault Rifle ever made.
That looks like Zombi(U).
They wasted the round in the chamber i guess.
Typical fake news.
It stands for:
Adolf's Revenge: 15(th Class)
This is true, though I doubt they had that in mind when they designed that.
The internet is alright sometimes.
True, they probably did not.
clip
this will never not make me laugh
Did you play these games user?
There's still no room for the bolt to travel
Most games still do that because it's much, much easier than having a proper dual rendered scope. Also makes keeping your frame of reference easier. In multiplayer titles it can even serve as helping to punish players for spending too long scoped, since it cuts down on their already limited peripheral vision.
I dont even think hes using the scope here, look where it is in relation to his -eye.
I think in a game about sniping I would gladly take a frame rate hit to make scopes not look retarded.
In the cutscene, he's leaning over to use his functional eye.
i dont see the problem
You do use scope in the actual boss fight and the animation remains the same as when he had the eye lmao.
Did you play these games bro?
>fires double barrel out of the tube
That's true, maybe it's a KRISS designed bolt that goes into the handle, you never know, although unlikely they had that in mind as well.
magazine
the whole reload animation
>throw mag away
>slide sticks open when there is still a round in chamber
>cock round off of said chamber
>racks the slide when there's a switch for that
What's the issue here?
The Phantom Eye
thats the gun he is holding user
>slide magically locks back despite him not being out of ammo
>slide goes back without him even touching anything, right before he can actually insert the mag
>racks the slide in a retarded looking way
>the hammer never moves throughout any of this
>the animation quality is horrible anyways
If I knew how the animate, this would be the kind of animation I would make as a joke
>see that thing? It's an underbarrel grenade launcher with no separate trigger
Seriously the weapon design in HL2 is 99% garbage
EFT has scopes properly zoom in and it is notorious for causing framerate drops and stutter on use
It's a short barreled shotgun that someone machined a hole into for some reason.
No problem here.
It's the future, you just fire it with your mind.
WHat do you think the casing is supposed to do, user.
Didn't it have overheating problems?
>Pump semi automatic rifle
What
I think most of that can be attributed to the weapon types and models being scrapped several times over, like the AR2 model originally being a flaregun which is why it looks so stupid.
insurgency and fucking garrys mod has these too without problems. It's just lazy design, maybe stop spending 100 years on perfecting single pixels to make the game work instead
That's just a meme; there's a LOT of crossboarders between /m/ and /k/
>I would gladly take a frame rate hit
Gtfo console kid
I think that was a joke and was done on purpose
This is a shoulder fired weapon, Whether or not you intend to use the scope you need to bring the weapon up to that position.
My guess:
Doing it this way worked better with already existing animations.
HL2 has probably the most unsatisfying guns to shoot besides the crossbow, revolver, and AR2 (reaching a bit there).
Nice clip.
Why not just blur the player's peripheral vision so that you can have the whole screen simplistically zoom-in, while at the same time making it look like only the scope is doing so?
I like the P90 as is, but I like your version as well.
Are you retarded? Gordon holds the grenades in his mouth and spits them out.
>99
what wasn't trash of the firearms?
The revolver?
After E.Y.E. I just can not go back to stock guns
Then it no longer fits the parameters of why it was even created in the first place. The P90 literally only exists because it was to prove that submachine guns have a purpose in modern warfare. It would have been adopted as the NATO standard for SMGs too if H&K and Germany weren't so butthurt that the MP7 lost to it.
My fucking sides. I love how lovably edgy Shadow is.
Reading TGT only makes him better imo.
Maybe its caseless ammo
fallout 3 had the worst weapon choices, and they will remaster it without new guns.
You do realize the 'remaster' will pretty much be a 1-to-1 port but with the F4 engine and new graphics?
Reading the IMFDB page about it still makes me laugh from time to time
FO3 will never be remastered. Stop begging for this, it's insane.
Beacuse it's fun?
game is fun as fuck
>Didn't see what was leaked on Amazon
you are not supposed to cock the gun when reloading mid mag since there's a bullet still chambered unless you are disarming someone
>F4 engine
So, the same engine?
it reminds me of killzone's weapons
Obviously the owner of that gun lives in Britain and was forced to have his semi automatic pistol destroyed and turned into a single shot version.
wow, this.
i never understood the fascination with the p90, i've always thought it looked like a gun with down syndrome. but this version here....i like. looks more like a typical carbine.
See
It's not meant to be a carbine. It's pretty much the only reason SMGs are even still manufactured.
Helghast rifle was pretty based.
There wasn't enough space on the disk for Snake to be using a different animation in PW
memes aside, the engine used in F4 is the "same" engine but it is an improvement from F3
how did the mp7 lose to that chode of a gun? i thought the mp7 was legit. still one my favorite subs to this day, that and the vector.
>Implying looks matter at all when it comes to firearms
>Adding a massive barrel just to satisfy your autism when there are better carbines on the market defeating the whole point of the firearm in the first place
>Game features a single-action revolver
>Player character fires it like it was double-action and doesn't half cock the hammer when loading in new rounds into the cylinder
you can literally see he is tilting his head to use the left eye retard
>how did the mp7 lose to that chode of a gun?
The MP7 had a significantly lower magazine count and performed worse against body armor, the defining factor on whether SMGs had a place in modern warfare. Even despite the P90's weird ergonomics and proprietary attachments, it stomped the MP7 into irrelevancy.
>pump action m4
lmao
Well if the game's gonna have scores and boom!s flying all over the screen I'll let it slide
ironically half life 2 is amongst the few videogames where the stock of that shotgun isn't folded over the gun to make it cool and is actually used as a fucking stock
>Game features revolvers
>They all reload via speed loaders
That and you needed a clocksmith's degree if you wanted to fix it in the field
youtube.com
Feast your eyes on what murdered FEAR
Im sorry
The source mod Fistful of Frags strikes a nice balance between using one or two weapons. You choose your handedness before spawning, and you're better at aiming weapons with that hand. You can choose to be ambidextrous which will allow you to be moderately successful with two guns, but the maximum accuracy of both your guns is worse than that of someone using a single gun with their dominant hand. You can pretty much never reach 100% accuracy without using a scoped rifle from a crouched and stationary position either, which gives it all a nice little RNG twist.
maybe he was just cleaning it a bit
God I fucking hate games where bullets spread even if you're aiming down sights and the sights remain roughly in the same spot.
>that shotgun
no Resonance of Fate posted yet ?
so they replaced the bolt action with a pump action
cool
MP7 is cool but it has huge fire rate, small mags and fancy ammo which is expensive
I don't think gun designs in borderlands is supposed to be taken even remotely seriously
This IS a series where reloading a gun by throwing it at enemies, having it explode and rematerialize in your hands is a completely viable and existing option.
>pump action ar-15
nice meme just like piston systems
into irrelevancy? coulda' swore i saw vids of high praise for the mp7 since it's conception...guess not though. but yeah, p90 ugly as they get.
Kind of like us and Yea Forums huh?
The 2nd Amendment is completely obsolete. /k/fags pretend they will use it to defend freedom, but every freedom in the constitution has been trampled on over the past 20 years and more examples past 20+ years, and no 2A faggots did a single thing about it.
>constantly talk about muh peace
>be the third biggest weapon exporter in the world
>like us and Yea Forums
nah. that hasn't been a thing since pre-gg. its us and twitter now.
I never understood how the car rim magazines work on Jakob weapons. Then again, 95% of the weapons in BL2 don't make any sense.
These are amazing but there being no in-gameplay representation kind of sours it compared to other games actually having retarded shit shown.
didnt they try to make curved guns in the past?
it would slowly destroy the barrel if i remember correctly
Oh damn I'm retarded.
gotcha
also, not a total gun guy, just love guns and their aesthetics, learning about them is definitely interesting.....with that said
steam punk...anything steam punk, weapons, armor, art...it all triggers the ever loving corn filled shit straight out of my brown star. i hate steam punk.
fuck any rifle that's built like revolver...to the man who thought of that, go fuck yourself.
scouts scatter gun
>only one Pancor Jackhammer exists in this world
>all lonely and never used out of fear of being destroyed
Depends on what you read.
Paper pushers and civvies love it actual soldiers either hate or luke warm about it.
Biggest criticisms comes from vets.
>unnecessary
>round to weak
>rpm too high
are common complains
surely you mean Yea Forums and /u/
>That's 66% more bullet, per bullet
Ban all guns.
I have to admit, this took me a few minutes to spot.
youtube.com
naturally only gun Jesus is allowed to touch it.
Seems legit
Can't be bothered to actually make a webm of it but have a look in Apex when somebody picks Bangalore. She does this cartridge flip thing, then chambers it into her M14 like rifle with the bolt closed and then charges the bolt
how do you fuck up this much
>owner is literally Chad
>RS2
Why is the playerbase so autistic compared to RO2/RS?
Too bad all of that falls apart when you realize that running around with the hatchet and two shotting people trying to hit you with the (intentionally) clunky shooting is the optimal way to play.
In what way? The Gook mic spam? Cause that was non stop in RS1 as well.
>fuck any rifle that's built like revolver...to the man who thought of that, go fuck yourself.
To be fair to gun makers of the mid 19th century, they didn't have a lot else to go on when it came to faster firing rifles.
I'm with you when it comes to steam punk though. I was looking at replica revolvers at a con one time cos I was thinking of doing a Red Dead outfit at the time and all of them were advertised as "ideal basis for a steam punk inspired gun."
my sides
What's with the obsession in F4 to have leftie guns? Who does it pander to? Because normies absolutely don't care and people who like guns get annoyed by it
I'm so fucking high right now
W-wait, wouldn't it be relatively simple to make the *insert boolit* animation repeat the same amount of times as how many rounds are missing? Like, not even relatively. It should be child's play to a professional animator/programmer, right?
post the bolt action hunting rifle
If you don't see casings fly across the screen how would you know you're shooting?
It works, it's just incredibly over engineered.
>those holes in the center are where actual bullets feed into the gun
>the spokes of the wheel are where the extra ammo of the drum is stored
>every shot fired rotates the wheel drum, dropping a new bullet into the center place until the wheel drum runs out
Explain this, /k/
squeeze its prostate to shoot
Christ, this is a sin on so many fucking levels.
>Left handed
>Reloading always inserts five shells
>Ejects a live round for no fucking reason
Aw shit, you're right
It would but this is Bethesda's Gamebryo we're talking about. The engine is really, really bad. Obsidian made the individual bullet loading system work in NV but even then it's very buggy. They said it was a challenge to make it work at all in the engine. The engine is that fucking bad.
>every shot is an orgasm
whoever drew this gun should be assasinated alright
I love that he keeps his stoic face.
actually with some guns you should rack the slide (or bolt) instead of using the release because otherwise they're more likely to malfunction and not feed correctly
Yes you can do that
Motherfucker
Is that a gun or a blow dart?
same reason people with two digit IQs are allowed to bred retards like you..
what game? looks fun
4.6 is even more of a meme round than 5.7, which is just a slow 5.56 round
No he means Yea Forums and reddit.
There were a few in WWI that were made for shooting out of trenches without exposing yourself, apparently they worked pretty well. Same thing with curved machine guns on old tanks. I never heard anything about barrels being destroyed but I wouldn't be surprised if that eventually happened.
Call of Juarez: Gunslinger
thanks user, funnily enough I somehow have it in my library. must've gotten it in a humble bundle or something a long time ago. gonna try it now since it looks like fun.
>Throw grenade
>Spoon is still attached
Are there any games which don't do this?
I'm out of ammo. Can anyonr spare me an extra clip?
I think grenade cooking is a criminally underused feature and that every game that allows it is a fucking masterpiece
people get really pissed off the moment I learn you can cook grenades in a game
grenade cooking in real life is probably one of the most idiotic things you can do and even marine combat training explicitly tells recruits to not do that shit
Trigger discipline. Get your finger OFF the trigger unless you're gonna shoot it.
Good thing we talking about video games
I really like how it's done in Insurgency Sandstorm
>left click does an overhand throw, right click does and underhand toss
>hold down mouse button to pull the pin out
>click the opposite mouse button release the spoon
>release button to throw
>grenade types have different fuse lengths (you really don't wanna cook a stun or thermite grenade)
The gun is automatic with the right munitions tho.
cute retarded azn gril
the shotgun is fine, apart from the fact that ist has no trigger and has what looks like an AR-10 bolt with forward assist slits but no actual forward assist button.
The actual rifle is where stuff gets weird.
it has what looks like one of those wind-up rotating drums, and AR bolt, but how the rounds get in to the chamber is an absolute mystery.
cooking nades isn't used in real military though
Not her fault females have -10 in marksman.
it just werks
Refer to
thanks for posting this
It's literally one of the most common game tropes, it's just more visually interesting at the cost of some less noticeable(to the majority of players) realism.
why would anyone use a pistol when it does less damage than a revolver
why would anyone pay for a hooker when they could just fug you're mom
>No mention of the Grand Pinger
one of the /k/ boards made it for army of 2 for a competition and won
I feel like this one in particular is the fault of whoever's coaching her from off-camera for not giving clear instructions to a complete newbie.
what the fuck is that black thing on the bolt
Looks like a paintball tank?
LMAO
>Mosin-Nagant with a shotgun stock, backwards mounted SVD magazine, EoTech along with a backwards mounted ACOG. It also features a backwards vertical grip, a paintball gun hopper, a backwards laser sight, a backwards flashlight, and a small suppressor.
OPERATORchan apparently
this game is mobile shooter right?
Anyone got that gif of Gun Jesus getting hit in the dome with an ejected casing?
how do you keep a straight face with hot brass hitting your face?
Call of Juarez Gunslinger it's actually really fun
>chambered for .22 Eargesplitten Loudenboomer
this is a custom model so doesn't really count, but with some modifications you could mount a grenade launcher on your famas, but that launcher (and the original sight) are made completely unusable.
>There were a few in WWI that were made for shooting out of trenches without exposing yourself, apparently they worked pretty well
You might be thinking of periscope guns actually, like in this webm.
The guns with the curved barrels were more used in WW2. They were better for close range engagements because the slug would end up shattering and would turn the gun into a sort of pseudo shotgun.
shit wrong webm
This guy REALLY looks like christian bale.
/k/ would love an exploding hammer though.
It's only contacting for a fraction of a second. It's not contacting long enough for transference of heat.
>loads shell
>internal barrel assembly slams backwards to static pin
>blow froward cycle and ejection
This game was fucking rad
>tfw it looks like you're about to die but then the narrator quickly decides to remember it differently
I didnt play it yesterday, I dont remember.
>johnwickgunfights.webm
no
the gun just doesnt have the stock on
Yeah the framing device is great, the whole game being your character drunkenly bragging to other people in a bar.
>so yeah suddenly 500 guys showed up out of nowhere
>game spawns in a shitload of guys
toppest of keks
the game is quite literally a guy telling stories in a saloon and the player acting out the story. embellishment is basically confirmed in game.
the game is also really fun even if it is pretty short.
What was it replaced by if it was made entirely redundant?
+60% bullet per bullet.jpg
What are you talking about? How can you replace something that was never used?
Because it's cool
>things just exploding for no reason
>truck swerves and crashes for no reason
>another truck speeds into a builing and causes and explosion
Incompetence is its own kind of entertainment.
Oh I got the impression that the design was improved to the point where it no longer resembled that gun on the surface, didnt know it was just thrown out.
paintball hopper. holds the paintballs and whatnot
Guns are very expensive to make. Military contracts are picky and if you don't have the floating capital for the testing process you're going to go bankrupt. It doesn't matter if you have a decent design or not. If you don't have the means to mass produce it yourself and nobody is interested in buying it, it's not going to get made.
66% MORE BULLET
PER BULLET
Holy shit
Most likely they were too lazy to make different gun holding animations for just one gun, ie if you move drum closer char left hand grip needs to be changed
desu it could simply use that method of cocking, much like some of the early italian automatic designs. which were magazine-fed but used a literal cocking sleeve that you pulled back
it's an mp5
I kinda like that. It's so hilariously dumb, and it just keeps going.
Reminds me of the almost equally stupid shootout scene in the Wesley Snipes movie The Art of War:
it's carried by a melanin-enriched hedgehog, I don't think real mp5 rules apply to it
>only 1 ammo to carry
It infuriates me when people are right for the wrong reasons.
>break top
>magazine fed
>single shot
>bolt action
I'm sure you could easily find a reference photo of the rifle LHO used with like five seconds of googling. Why is this man such a lazy nigger hack?
how the fuck do you pump it
The croatian army made it into a real thing
It's like the FAMAS's hot cousin
Why did they name it after a video recording medium early-20s millennials pretend to be nostalgic about?
Seeing how some minor details are right he clearly saw photo of the real gun, was it that hard to draw rest of it and loading correctly?
bullet effects remind me of smod
oof
WHAT KIND OF GUN FIRES THE CASING AND THE BULLET TOGETHER!!!!!! RRREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
That looks really nice
Višenamjenska Hrvatska Strojnica—"multifunctional Croatian machine gun"
what sort of attachments would you use for left and right rails? I legit never see anyone use the rail system other than for different sights.
HOW DID I NEVER NOTICE ALL THIS TIME.
fucking everything
>hipfire long range kill without using sights
>finger perpetually situated on trigger
>absolutely nothing about that reload animation makes sense
uhhhhhh........... a rail gun?
If he knows nothing about guns, looking at that picture is not going to teach him anything about how it functions.
I'm a /k/ommando but this stuff is just hilarious to me, doesn't make me angry at all.
>heck of a shotgun
Gets me every time.
user...the ammo being fired by the railgun wouldn't require a casing since it doesn't use a combustion from gunpower but rather magnets for propulsion.
the 1911 is single action only, the hammer has to be cocked back for it to shoot
dont current railguns use copper casing to turn to plasma and lubricate better than the core
What? No. That's ridiculous.
Am normally right hand dominant, but my right eye is slightly blurrier than my left, so I started teaching myself to shoot lefty. Both sides feel 100% natural for two-handed guns now, working on one-handeds. Any games that let you flip your gun to the left side in the options menu or something?
>uuhh what seems to be the pro-AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRGHHH
lasers sights and flashlights, very common to see in military and police use.
Mainly stuff like flashlights or lasers (IR, rangefinders, visible lasers etc.) like you can see in pic.
Counter Strike. Quite a lot of TPS let you change which shoulder to shoot from on the fly, too.
Wrong, hundreds of US army rangers were reported to have performed "grenade cooking" on multiple occasions through out the war. It's not doctrine but people do it.
Real railguns use sabot rounds:
Do /k/fags actually get butt-hurt from videogames not being 100% realistic? I thought things like HL's shotgun were cute, child-like fun
gay ass white knight
>bolt is on the left side of the gun
Please tell me this doesn't happen irl
that would probably be the best thing bethesda has made in a decade
it's not about realism, but how they clearly show 0 knowledge in something they are working in, not a lot of people care how the rocket launcher in doom works, since it was never meant to represent something based in real life, unlike many of the examples here.
it's like having a "realistic" driving game, with cars based on real ones, and the cars have no engine.
W-where are the casings coming from?
For reference
It's kind of an immersion thing for me. Obviously the standard of the gun on the right side is not UNimmersive, but I'd like to try it in a game. Authentic, too, not just a mirror image where the ejector port is on the wrong side of the gun. Part of the reason I'd really like to play some VR shooters
The customization in that game was absolutely nuts. Putting scopes on your magazine and barrels on your barrels to just squeeze out a little bit more stat boosts.
When guns are your identity and only reason to get up in the morning, you take their depiction very seriously.
I remember Die Hard Nakatomi Plaza had all the weapons be left-handed because Bruce Willis is left-handed. I thought that was a neat touch.
Though they're still mirrored guns.
amidoinitrite?
how about now?
i dunno man, a couple of those nearly go in his mouth. I can't imagine that would feel very nice on multiple levels
Left handed guns are good, but at the same time I'd like to be able to find ways of overcoming design challenges for the left side rather than just straight-up redesign the gun or simply change over to the right side. Like trying to reload an empty MP5 on the left seems like it'd be a bit of a bitch, but I wanna try it
This whole game.
wtf
Mitchel Mauser oldmeme/10
Epic troll!!!!!
redpill me on this gun
it's called point shooting
en.wikipedia.org
while it's mainly used for close quarters the same tactics can be applied at longer ranges with training and snake is really good at shooting
should he tilt his head just so that his lost eye doesnt align with the sight? or should he tilt his head in a way that it lets him aim through a scope with his left eye? mind you volgin is like 20 yards away in that part.
You forgot
>invisible grip
Belgian lobbying vs German lobbying
GrAvEyArD's ThE oThEr WaY fElLeR
I literally rape hatchetards
>t. Not op
At least post the better looking one.
That's pretty clearly over his left eye.
>MCT
>recruits
I mean, you POGs may as well be recruits but jeez.
why isnt this more intuitive than a bolt action /k/?
I can't remember which MoH it was, but one of them had grenade kicking, and I think it's a crime against humanity that grenade futbol never made it into more games.
I think Heckler & Koch used to recommend to lock the charging handle back and slap them after the mag is inserted on all their G3 / MP5 based firearms.
>Germany got so butthurt over the P90 kicking ass (can tear through body armor at long ranges) that they cried until the MP7 was adopted instead
The P90 was ahead of its time.
What game, looks fun
well he isn't wrong It was like boot camp with libo. There wasn't a day of training that our NCO's did not try their damnest to hold people back a week for the dumbest shit like not carrying full canteens on ruck marches.
Metal Gear Survive of all fucking things had incredible grenade dynamics
You could drop one at your feet, go prone and kick it up so it exploded at head height
Or you could hit other people's thrown grenades in mid-air with a melee weapon and send them flying directly into enemy hordes
It also had underarm, overarm and long throws, all modified by your stance and velocity
Shame it's trapped in such an okay game
dont really see the problem
shadow is a hedgehog so ofc he is really fast, he can easily cock the gun each time the machine gun fires
Resonance of Fate
this looked silly but this THISmade me lose my shit, laughing if tears fucking hell
kill me pete
thoughts on pic related?
never watched a western a.k.a aim with the gun on your hip? Who cares it's cool
PPSH, heck of a shotgun
the AR2 is cool
Its even worse than that. The 5.7/4.6mm were undergoing trials with the goal of making one of them nato standardized. Germany getting assblasted about the trial results/recommendation and refusing to accept them killed the project.
>implying it isn't a shotgun
It makes shot and is gun therefore it's a shotgun
Didn't they do it in world war 2? I remember reading about sabotage missions where they swapped the labels for grenades so people would cook them for too long and get killed
