That was a great console. Publishers could port their five year old games to it at no cost and sell them at full price again. There was even that good Zelda game... that was also available on another platform. Best part? People would rebuy their games just to play it on the Switch. A fantastic community and a fantastic time.
I own 40 games on it and only 5 of them I've bought before on the Wii U, most of these I enjoyed far more than I've enjoyed games in a while.
If anything the Switch has pushed me over the edge to go full moral fag and stop pirating games and instead purchase games that look quality enough to be a safe purchase. It's been working well.

It's not like this is their first rodeo. Nintendo started really doing this with the Wii and its retro/classics store and people ate it up.
Nintendo has always been profit driven since Yamauchi and that culture persists today.
Been using it as my indie machine and excuse to get into shmups, especially since the system is great for vertical shooters.
First party games have been pretty good so far, with a couple sorta average titles sprinkled.
Steins;Gate Elite is also great and reminds me how much I missed playing VN's on a handheld.
Love the Switch to be honest, if anything my PS4 and steam account will collect a lot more dust from now on,
just don't enjoy being forced behind a chair in the same spot whenever I wanna play, worst case scenario being PC
where literally everything else my computer can be used for will eventually take me out of the game and lose focus.
I'm starting to think people who talk smack on the Switch the most don't actually play videogames.

It's a time waster and it is very simple. There's not a whole lot to the game. 5 simple Zelda 1-esque dungeons where you farm enemy drops using a very limited inventory space then sell the drops in your shop. It's not very exciting but it's something I guess. Has a lot of slowdown on the switch.

Some games are just timeless. I beat Dr. robotniks MeanBean machine yet again yesterday. I already have puyo puyo Tetris, but the old puyo style has a particular charm to it too for me. Likewise I'd probably get a Fever style game if it came out.
I only wish the joycon buttons weren't so tiny and it had an actual D-Pad.
