There were timelines where he was born. all you need is that one timeline because of that time travel pod thing and you can have a million Deltas walking around

Millions was an exaggeration. He did it to ensure it happened is all. It's kind of like Akane doing the exact same thing in 999 where she ensured she survives the first nonary games in one timeline and makes Junpei do that sodouku puzzle by killing him 8 other times

Junko is supposed to be smart but in practice she deliberately sabotages her plans and almost all of her important tools are just shit she stumbled upon and/or stole from other people.
Her talent IS recognizing opportunity and potential but the more we learned about her the less we saw her actually doing that and saw more of people just being stupid in ways that conveniently benefit her.

Adachi is explicitly not a mastermind, he just got really lucky despite crying about how shit his life is because other people got lucky.

The fact that Delta and Phi exist means there is some timeline where they were born. The game just happens to follow that timeline. Delta saying fuck it and doing his own thing while Akane and Sigma complain about him not closing his causal loop would make for a much more interesting premise.
