For what it's worth, I hate about 90% of the JRPGs I've ever played, and I really liked this one. It did take a while to get going, first few chapters I had the "it's not too late to return this" in the back of my mind, but once it got going I was sold completely. That's not to say it's not without it's bullshit, but it's stay fun if you choose to avoid it.

Just from checking on google, the accessory you're looking for should be a Fighter's Circlet. And it's labelled as 'doom resistance', not just instant death.

Everything is better on Zeke, but some like Dagas might be more efficient on others so Zeke can get their buff without having to use them to hit things. The real issue for him is he has too many good axes to choose from.
