Joshua Flores
Watch DoA get passed over cause no one plays it
Dylan Cook
SFV and T7 (and maybe SC6) are certainly there. Probably they have one NRS game and it's gonna be MK11 and I'm almost certain they'll have both SMBU and SMBM. Anime game lineup is probably GGXrd Rev2 for the last time and BBTAG because they just announced Season 2. It would be great to add UNIST to the line up but I'm pretty sure it's only going to be a side tourney even though it has more players these days than BBCF. Can't say about DBFZ though, many big events dropped their Dragon Ball tourneys from streams probably because Toei is being a bitch but I kinda hope it's in the lineup.
I don't think there will be a game outside of the ones I mentioned.
Josiah Williams
SFV, Tekken 7, and one Smash game is all but guaranteed.
They will most likely put in Soul Calibur 6, BB tag, DBFZ, and MK 11, and probably the second smash game.
I really, really want Guilty Gear to be in it, but if they decide to give UNIST the spotlight, I suppose I wouldn't feel too sour about it.
Ian Watson
only games i really expect are sfv, t7, and smash u and smelee for which i hope it has many jigglys
James Walker
>It would be great to add UNIST to the line up but I'm pretty sure it's only going to be a side tourney even though it has more players these days than BBCF MrWiz has kind of been teasing UNIst. I honestly think it would get more than Xrd, doubt that game will get more than 500 this year. While at smaller anime focused events UNIst has gotten 300+. twitter.com/MrWiz/status/1092306047325229056
I think DB will get in as a World Tour event if nothing else.
Fighterz is 95% in, there's a chance of more copyright BS, but with season 2 on the way I think it's pretty well confirmed in.
The remaining two spots (I think they'll stick with 8 total) are a little hard to tell, but I'm guessing it'll be smash Melee and Cross Tag, both pulled a good number of entrants last year. More then I think Unist or KoF could do.
SC6 could potentially match them but ofcourse, core values. No need for EVO to risk upsetting any advertisers with anime tiddies when it probably wouldn't do much better (if at all) then just sticking melee back in.
Blake Martin
They will announce Melee but it will be a "Grand Finale" like the final MvC3 tournament as the meta is now stale as fuck thanks to H.Box and more people are moving onto ultimate than expected. There will be one last stinky day.
Benjamin Hall
Long as melee gets views it will be there. They should just create a separate smash game section so two smaller fighters don't get shoved out.
I'm just glad that SmashU will get so many entrants that SFV won't be top again
Gabriel Cooper
TATSUNOKO VS CAPCOM KAMEN RIDER SUPER CLIMAX HEROES SUPER PUZZLE FIGHTER 2 TURBO
Charles Clark
>I really, really want Guilty Gear to be in it, but if they decide to give UNIST the spotlight, I suppose I wouldn't feel too sour about it.
I bet GG is in because it's one of the final stages of ArcSys World Tour (maybe even the grand final? don't know the details) and I think it's a good place to announce the next installment because Rev2 has been going on like three years. Or maybe they're just saving the big announcements for the ArcSys World Tour finals.
Leo Stewart
>Street Fighter V >Tekken 7 >Dragon Ball FighterZ >Soul Calibur 6 >Mortal Kombat 11 >Super Smash Bros Ulimate >Guilty Gear Xrd Rev2 >Granblue Fantasy Versus I hope Melee is out

Nah, they'll announce it at arc festival which is one weeks after EVO
Caleb Foster

Austin Gonzalez
if we're talking main games
>>Possible games >Street Fighter V obviously >Tekken 7 obviously >Dragon Ball FighterZ yeah. probably the last year for this kusoge tho. the american king of kuso, sonicfox, goes back to MK soon >Soul Calibur 6 hopefully. EVO japan showed that the online part of the SC6 gives a really poor impression of what is a very good but delicately balanced game >Mortal Kombat 11 maybe? might be too soon. i'd like to see it tho >Super Smash Bros Ulimate for sure >Super Smash Bros Smelee doubtful. not mainstage anyways >Dead or Alive 6 no >The Rumble Fish ? >King of Fighters XIV no >UNDER NIGHT IN-BIRTH Exe:Late[st] no >Guilty Gear Xrd Rev2 yes. cant wait. this game is always based as fuck. absolute feast for the senses >BlazBlue: Cross Tag Battle hopefully not but fairly likely
Brody Morgan
they were given a golden opportunity to showcase the mechanics and possible tournament viability of the game at EVO Japan, the second (to EVO itself) largest and most prestigious competitive fighting games tournament and expo in the world, and they used their time to showcase women groping each other and freeze frames of characters eating.
they disgraced themselves and tried to make a fool of mr wizard. he was right to can it. shit game that no one plays anyways. fisher price tekken/VF
Benjamin Thomas
Hello McRib.
Henry Turner
I just want UNIST on the main stage
Jordan Adams
I agree with your post, have a (you) my dude.
Hudson Walker
hello incel. go watch softcore porn elsewhere. EVO is a competitive gaming event.
Parker Howard
I can see UNIST getting a slot. It would be striking while the iron is hot, the game's been growing and has surpassed GGXRD at this year's anime ascension and at plenty of other tournaments over the past year. The under night devs actually acknowledged the western fanbase last year at an under night tournament too, so there's potential for an evo announcement if the game is accepted. the scene has a lot of amazing players and commentary is always informative and exciting.
Anyone who thinks rev2 will be there is just delusional, game had a long run and doesnt even bring the numbers anymore.
Aaron Lopez
>>Killer Instinct that game would still be at EVO now if it hadnt launched on shitbox 1 only
itll still be at EVO tho.
Julian Martin
They said the same shit about Marvel 3 and that still got canned. Wizard only goes where the corporate payout is. That's how so many unreleased Nintendo games with no community and no competitors got in over the years.
Christopher Lee
Games I want there on that list: >SFV >Tekken 7 >DBFZ >SC6 >MK11 >SBU >DoA >KoFXIV >Blazblue:CTB
Ethan Martin
I hope FEXL has a side tourney, watching those get me really interested & invested since they find a lot of fun shit in it.
>disgraced themselves lmao no, they showed just how based they are. >tried to make a fool of mr wizard they didn't, he just decided to make a fool out of himself anyway
Ryan Stewart
As much as i play it, I don't believe [st] will get the mainstage vote. It's popular and growing but it sure as fuck won't bring in the money.
>Mr Wizard is a corporate shill you guys >lmoa core values right? lul >i could run the biggester and more pretigious FGC event WHILE ONLY SHOWING ANIME TITTY FIGHTERS >mcribs lol >what a sjhill
meanwhile you are ignorant of that fact that nintendo has only recently, as in since the switch launch, started to support esports and actively shunned it before that and certainly wouldnt have paid to have brawl or smash 4 at EVO or anywhere else.
marvel got canned because unlike smash, most other subsets of the FGC follow the latest iteration of a franchise. and marvel infinite came out and pushed marvel 3 out, and then marvel infinite killed that community. most of them went back to marvel 2 which isnt viable from a hardware standpoint in 2019 for a large scale tournament
youre a stream monster and a sniff. go back to talking shit about SFV while religiously following the CPT and jerking it to juri feet pics you fucking fraud
Elijah Rogers
>both ARMS and Pokken got into main Evo without actually being out anywhere Nice try fag
Henry Morgan
so a switch game and a namco game? wow its almost like i literally said that already and every fucking namco game gets to be at EVO. SC6 was at EVO last year and it was literally in beta at the time
Ayden Roberts
You're only proving the point that Wizard is a corporate shill that sells spots fag.
Adam Barnes
>Garou >Jojo’s: HftF >Waku Waku 7 >Street Fighter Alpha 2 >Tatsunoko Vs. Capcom >Power Stone 2 >Gotcha Force >Melty Blood
and? what of it? i never claimed he didnt. in fact i made fun of you for pointing that out like it was a bad thing. if mr wizard wasnt selling screen time to the developers of the most popular games at his fighting game tournament that makes up his business and income for him and his employees and competitors he would be a shit business man. but he isnt, hes highly successful. which is why hes rich as fuck doing something he's loved since he was a kid and youre a fucking sniff talking shit on Yea Forums and thinking youre a morally perfect galaxy brain for pointing this shit out
Nathaniel Bell
>most prestigious EVO Japan was a complete mess from start to finish. The players thought so too, just look at Kayane's complaints. They didn't bother paying for copies of some of the side tourney games so they were playing on a secondary account, and the connection there was shit so multiple games were interrupted. They had large breaks of streaming nothing and in that time missed important, high quality matches in games like SC and Tekken, the saturday games were played off-venue for the most part in a broom closet, the tourney organisers didn't speak english and didn't have any equipment to speak over the crowd so multiple people were disqualified for not showing up to their games despite sitting waiting for an hour in the same room, the few that did speak english often mispronounced players' names which led to the same thing, I could go on. It was a mess.
Lucas Butler
name a more prestigious multi-game tournament that isnt also EVO.
Easton Hernandez
I would really, really like it is Melee was left out. It's so fucking boring these days
John Carter
>broom closet GG was fun to watch
Oliver Jackson
The commentators needed to directly address the broom closet comments since they were so common in chat. Everyone was talking shit.
Eli James
Id be fine with this replacing melee
Jayden Ortiz
It's the biggest in name and budget alone. There are many smaller tournaments that are handled much more professionally with a more entertaining result for everyone involved. Players will stop putting up with it soon enough, similar to how E3's starting to get pushed aside for more focused events with better management.
Cameron Reyes
Yeah I'm sure people will be talking about KiT or DTN champions years after the fact. Get real, being an EVO champ is literally more prestigious than winning the TWT or CPT.
It's the most prestigious because its the most well attended, and its the most well attended because its ran well enough to accommodate those numbers. EVERYONE goes to EVO and it's open registration. And if you win EVO that makes you the best. It's as simple as that. That's where the prestige comes from.
Julian Flores
Can't wait for Granblue Fantasy Versus to make it in and Mike Z to just fucking explode again.
Anthony Peterson
The game-specific tours are better for entrants since they're active for months and give players more screen time. EVO's a big deal for the short time it's active, but the focus is already shifting away from having a single big event. Look at E3. Other shows like PSX/TGAs/TGS etc are getting bigger and a lot of devs are skipping E3. Games also release fairly reguarly year-round now instead of stuffing everything into key weeks in the year (holidays etc). EVO is big casually and its name is impressive due to its past, but I'm saying I don't think that will last forever due to the poor management. There's less of an incentive for players to train for EVO when they could be playing games for 6+ months of the year in the pro tours of their main game.
Nicholas Green
>They said the same shit about Marvel 3 and that still got canned. MVC3 didn't have amazing views though, the game had been on the way out for a while. And with a new game on the horizon it made sense to stop it, the community stopped playing as well
E3 is dying because news and updates about the games industry is 24/7 these days. When I was young you'd hear nothing important about new games and hardware for months at a time. But when E3 came about it would be like this magical thing where all the secrets of the industry were there for all to see under one roof. E3 used to be Ali Baba's cave for people interested in games. Now all that info is there all the time. There's more games "journalism" sites than you can shake a stick at and more reputable leakers on Yea Forums and reddit than there were decent games mags 15 years ago.
Comparing E3 and EVO is a shit comparison anyways because one is a competition and the other is an expo. One exists to showcase high level competition and the other exists to showcase high technology. You're comparing watching sports to looking at football boots.
Christopher Reed
I can't wait to see my wife Tanukana drown in pools again!
This desu. Nobody needs to see hungrybox win another sleep inducing final.
Easton Scott
He'll do it but he'll make a big a fuss about it being the "Final Year" because he'll have pressure from Nintendo to drop it along with the declining attendance and twitch views. He's just gonna make the most money possible out of it before dropping it.
Wyatt Wood
Tekken 7 and the rest can be whatever. It's not like I'm going to be watching them. I only follow Tekken 7 and sidetournaments.
I would love to see Tekken 7 main stage, but I feel like DBFZ will still take it. A lot of people meme on the game, but the competitive scene is going really, really strong. Would love to see GBV up there too.
Zachary Collins
High level competition is being showcased year-round too though so it's still relevant. Tournaments are popping up everywhere, and with pro tours they have the full push of the publishers/dev teams which didn't happen in the past. EVO might stay big since it's multi-game, but pro tours will overtake it in importance for the individual games soon, and I think it'll become the norm for new fighters to support their games longer-term with tours and announce things there when they have full control over the night.
Gavin Parker
The best lineup would be SFV T7 DBFz SC6 MK11 SSBU GGXrd2 KoFXIV and maybeeee Granblue
Ayden Carter
It WILL happen whether you like it or not. Cygames is one of EVO's benefactors and Daigo's sponsor. They will push and shill the game hard
Evan Turner
Hoping for: Only 1 smash Dreaming for: No Smash
Hudson Bell
They better fucking have UNI as the main game.
Leo Martinez
Ultimate is getting in for sure.
Not sure about Melee though.
Anthony Lewis
UNI needs to make it in. It's way more relevant in 2019 than Guilty Gear and BBCF. I'd rather watch GG than BBTAG but UNI and tag are the two most relevant at the moment since they're still getting new content.
Joshua Foster
I don't think T7 can be stopped right now. People memed up the money issues, but it had those last year and still grew. Hell last year EVO wasn't even a TWT event and it still grew. Everybody talks up all this esports bullshit these days, but really you just need to make a game people like playing. If they keep it up, and don't take a huge break for T8 it really could become the biggest game in the FGC.
I will go to EVO if they actually put UNI on the main stage
Joshua Phillips
>Smash is the first game to have its finals All smashers leave as soon as its done because thats all they came to evo for >Smash is set between 2 other games Previous game gets big viewer boost, but is heckled relentlessly in person and online until smash comes on. Venue attendance and twitch viewership drop off immediately after smash ends because thats all they cared about How do we fix this?
Just put it at the end, nobody cares about heckling when it's still views
Jace James
Dude gets triggered over anything but I think he's referring to that time he had long twitter rants when they announced BBTAG for EVO when it wasn't even released yet
I wouldn't be surprised if Xrd gets dropped and they make a repeat of xtag by announcing a game that isn't out yet (GBV). Cygamesfest was November 2018 and they said the game was 60% done back then
Matthew Nguyen
I dont understand why Tekken 7 Got so Big ITS actually difficult and has a shitty dlc cycle
Xavier Morris
I'd be glad if Smash was dropped, but I know that won't happen for logistic reasons. Shame a kid's party game has to dilute what is otherwise a great fighting game tournament.
Guilty Gear is a staple, it's absolutely in. If they want UNIST then get rid of GayBlue or DeadCalibur 6
Dominic Gomez
Honestly I'd still be cool with watching Granblue. Apparently it's more simple like SF2 so I plan on picking it up, and it'd be interesting to watch some skilled gameplay. I'd much rather have that than melee or BBTAG.
Oliver Torres
Core and valuepilled
Jason Adams
Tekken is basically an anime fighter thats mainstream. And those are fun as fuck for both casuals and pros
Kevin Rogers
They simplified a few things, had a lot of small visual tweaks to make it more exciting to watch, is a pretty big brand and it is a good game
I want to impregnate hilda and help her give inbirth.
Jaxson Ross
Why is SC6 so dead anyway? I remember it doing great at launch. I know the game's mechanics is fucked but I don't know exactly how. If anything the last fightan thread I saw on Yea Forums was basically sucking SC6's cock, so what's wrong with it?
Levi Kelly
CaS on ranked.
Nicholas Wright
Tekken 7 deserves to have top spot at one point in his life. Especially if Namco can give a good pot.
It has everything to really shine. The audience is there, the players are there, the playerbase isn't falling down. It just misses some of the recognition of top players like the ones in SF5 but it's even making strides at that.
Isaac Reed
Deal with it.
Ryder Parker
How is SC6 dead? It overtook anime in terms of entrants in EVO Japan of all places and still one of the most entered game in majors and in the east coast.
Josiah Reed
I probably would never have heard of UNI if it wasnt for how much they were talking about it on both Yea Forums and the twitch chat
Hudson Flores
You mean prop up a dying group of autistic negroes and other degenerates
Connor Rogers
>fighterz not a chance in hell MK11's possible Don't think DOA's getting mainstage
Anime Fighters are Not fun AS fuck for casuals Anime Fighters reward Combo knowledge more than other fighting games
Hunter Green
They were having threads for an entire year before last years evo.
Luke Robinson
Never underestimate Tekken 3 nostalgia.
Ethan Ross
the Yea Forums Under Night threads started in early 2017. It started off incredibly meta because the threads only pop up during midnight. Miraculously they actually discuss and play the games in those threads and its surprising the threads lasted until now.
Jordan Diaz
To mix things up. What announcements are you guys expecting/wishing for Sunday finals? I'd love seeing a new trailer for Samurai Spirits and maybe even Daisuke coming to stage to show what he's been working on
Alexander Martin
6 characters in 5 months is shitty cycle ? huh ???
Luis Perry
They better announce some new UNI DLC soon. I want new characters, balance patches and more colors. I'll pay whatever they want for it.
Season 2 of soulcalibur 6 Kof 15 Capcom All Stars fightan
Nicholas Flores
We may get a Smash DLC character announced. It's not too much of a stretch since last year they announced a Smash direct during Melee top 8.
Camden Bell
He'll do it himself when he pops off in his round 1 pools match and punches the TV.
Brody Allen
Fucking remove Melee, all I want.
Aaron Hughes
So what are the odds that DOA is gonna be black balled from evo because wizard got his feelings hurt? The beta was pretty on and winter brawl 3D made look interesting in a competitive environment.
Samuel Lee
>R/Kappa cucks still mad that melee chads continue to play the game they like instead of sucking the cock of the latest garbage

Tekken Season 3 SC season 2 SamSho news KoFXV teaser GG Rev3 BBTag DLC Granblue character reveal SFV is adding Tempered Dan
Jonathan Gray
>r/kappa still can't waveshine KEK
Adam Watson
I couldn't care less for any game that isn't melee.
CrossTag fills in for an anime spot, and a crossover fighter spot since both fucking Marvel AND FighterZ are out. SC6 is new, by Namco, and pretty much the only game of it's kind, it's in. Rev2 takes the other anime slot, since Wiz is on good terms with Arcsys now, it's newer than BB and looks way better still plus it had great numbers last year. Melee is obviously still in, it's attendance and stream numbers are both way too high to ignore.
Under Night I would love to see, but probably won't happen. DOA rarely shows up at EVO and is definitely on Wiz's shitlist, but who knows. Granblue and Samsho don't even have release dates, but if they're out by May or so, they can probably make the cut. Of the two, Granblue would probably get picked. FighterZ's licensing issues are definitely too much of a hassle for Wiz and everyone involved, but I would hope they could come to some agreement.
Oliver Collins
SFV is last to help everyone go to sleep after all the exciting games
Cooper Flores
yeah sfv last sucks especially because its a west coast events and all the garbage like smash and dbz runs over time.
Sebastian Price
Heihachi OR Terry Bogard OR anyone from SC inb4 Goku's in.
It's gonna be fun to see the stream go on and off constantly for each spoken line if they put Belial and Metera in the Granblue game. The core values can't handle a full blown sodomite and the biggest slut in the universe.
Justin Walker
Hopefully this will be the last year for SFV
Jonathan Richardson
>Rumble Fish Nigger your crazy or just shitposting. I want Vampire Savior of KOF XI but know that’s not happening. Rumble Fish would be great and so would CVS2 but it’s not happening. Street Abortion V is a given. So is Fighter Z if there are no IP problems. Tekken will probably happen and at least one Smash will be there. I usually watch Melee and Kekken but I’ve bern out of the loop with the former since Armada left and staying away from the latter with fucking Neagan lurking over head. I can watch BooberTag but wish it was CentralFiction instead.
Adrian Flores
Not a chance until SF6 comes out
Jackson Wilson
Hopefully SF6 will be out by then so SFV can stop existing.
Aiden Green
Crosstag is definitely in, Their last trailer revealed a 6th fate and left in the shape of the EVO logo
and then there's this poster, no fucking way are they retarded enough to think Heart Aino. Naoto, Teddie and Seth are enough to make people buy the game some more there should be more characters to show
To be honest I just want it there because I want to see if Pennyfag will finally get his wish, dude became super depressed when she wasn't announced at EVO japan
I kinda want Wagner in and it's even funnier that Seth is in after that one user bet his ass over it
Wishes: -An actual MvC4. -MvC2 steam port (i dont care if i can emulate it already on an apple watch, i want to buy a legit copy) -Samurai shodown 6 steam port (a wider release of that game is WAY overdue...)
Expectations: -Samurai shodown new trailer -GG NEXT 1st view -BBTAG DLC -DBFZ remaining 2 DLC characters (not Gogeta or Broly) -SFV season 4 (or whatever is left of it...) -maybe a surprise capcom game. -i really dont give that much of a shit about tekken. -More Fighting EX Layer (was Terry released already?)
Robert Evans
They just need Saber from Fate to attract the omega weebs and gacha crowd. The white fate has the same color as FGO but realistically it'll be something like Chaos Code.
Jason Ward
Please no, the fate base has autism
Luke Hall
sorry, but thats not possible.
all the non-BB/P4/UNI characters have unique sprites made from scratch, the BB style takes a lot of time, there will be only 1 character per new fate leavin the extra characters roster as: >RWBY: Ruby, Weiss, Blake, Yang >Arcana Heart Heart >6th fate representative (probably dengeki bunko or Aquapazza) >7th fate representative >8th fate representative
8 characters total.
Samuel Turner
>YFW they bring back MAHVEL 2 as a Legacy game for the final spot
Mahvel 2 and cvs2 are fucking garbage to watch Same 6 characters every match
Henry Barnes
RIOT comes out of nowhere and announces League of Fighters. Team lead has Seth Killian.
Joshua Perez
one would think people would try to analyze those games and try to Project M the shit out of it, the games are 20 and 18 years old respectively, for christ sake!
Ryan Myers
It is weird how SFV remains the biggest, despite there being fuck all discussion about that game anywhere. You can barely get a thread on it going here, /fgg/ has basically died cause none of them actually play it and even on social media people are quiet. Do they all hide in the discord? At best I see a kind of apathy to it these days, gets pushed as not THAT bad. But I doubt anyone would be upset if capcom gave them a new fighter to move onto.
Michael Russell
Terry Bogard is my dream for a full second fighting game rep, the music he would bring in would be fucking amazing (imagine a Smash cover of Mustard for Geese, Arashi no Saxophone 2, or Ketchaku R).
I'm just guessing Heihachi since Bamco seems well overdue for a second fighter, especially since they're the devs of the game now. Not counting Echoes, Capcom has 2, Konami has 2, Sega has 2 (3 if you count Joker), and even Squeenix has a decent chance of getting a second fighter at the moment.
Andrew Russell
Riot is a 1 trick company; they don't even have a card game.
Asher Gray
I hope melee gets cut just for the ensuing twitter salt
SFV, Tekken, SC6, MK11 and DBFZ, now that they've sorted out the thing that made it not show at EVO Japan, are shoe-ins. Guilty Gear could be there depending on whether or not ArcSys want to announce the new Guilty Gear there. I do think they'll announce it at the ArcRevo finals, but there's only two weeks between then and EVO, so they might announce it at EVO so they can show more at ArcRevo seeing as the wait between them won't be long anyway. Otherwise it'll probably be both Smashes and CTB, seeing as it's getting DLC.
Christopher Hernandez
for MvC2 and CvS2? games who were emulated already to perfection like 15 years ago?
yah, i dont buy it...
Luke Clark
I still prefer GG, but it'd be nice to see UNIST be put on the mainstage, it certainly deserves it.
Carter Thomas
>no Rival Schools What a shit line-up.
Zachary Taylor
Arcade Version of mvc2 is Not perfectly emulated
Austin Perry
have you tried with DEMUL? it can emulate Naomi natively.
I'm pretty upset with Capcom right now. Further nerfs to fight money, still no netcode update, Kage being another unwanted Oni style reboot of a shitty clone instead of actual fan favourites, no season pass, still haven't fixed anything they fucked up, etc. So Capcom abandoning SFV could only make me even more upset.
Bentley Phillips
It’s NRS so of course not.
Christopher Phillips
>Soul Calibur 6 >King of Fighters XIV >UNDER NIGHT IN-BIRTH Exe:Late[st] >Guilty Gear Xrd Rev2 >BlazBlue: Cross Tag Battle That's all I really care about.

Parker Perez
Did they actually keep those ugly ass ads for SFV?
Daniel Edwards
>Granblue People have been whispering and wishing for UNIst so much, while I keep reminding myself of Grandblue and BBTAG getting in barely last year to try and keep myself from getting too excited. If I expect the dagger it won't hit my back
They left the English version, but japan still had some for another SF esports thing. So chances are they'll be back when CPT starts, though probably toned down a bit.
>DBFZ whic his the #2 most popular fighting game is a kusoge >GG which literally 100 people on the planet still play, is somehow has priority over it in your mind
SFV Tekken 7 MK11 Ultimate Maybe KoF XIV UNIST (please) Rev2 Maybe DBFZ if they sort their shit out finally, otherwise CTB
I dunno how active SC6 is but I hope it gets in. I also really want KI back as those tournaments are always a blast to watch as long as it isn't Sleep putting me to sleep with his matches. If Cygames and KMR pushes hard enough I can also see GBFV get in, but if it does I'm half expecting it to get delayed and they'd have to drop it because fuck KMR.
Samuel Walker
how new?
Jaxson Miller
I have little faith that [st] would be hosted at EVO when French Bread wasn't even repped at EVO Japan. You're more likely to hear announcements at their own tourneys. Plus, they said they wanted to continue supporting [st] instead of makin a new game
Henry Rogers
Smash civil war soon.
Sebastian Moore
When's the stream?
Owen Garcia
In like 8 hours
Xavier Diaz
Whats the tier list look like for sc6 nowadays? Are long range chars like seong, nightmare, and Ivy still the meta?
Liam Rivera
Siegfried ivy Geralt Followed by Nightmare, Sophie cervantes
Asher Martin
Legacy>Popularity
Aiden King
Groh, Ivy, Mi Na Literally everyone else
SC6 these days is more of character familiarity than tier lists. Siegfried has been nerfed to oblivion but he's still fucking sucks to play against due to his gimmick.Meanwhile you have Groh in the top tiers but he just has a very optimized but narrowed toolset. He's strong but very simple much like Paul in Tekken 7
Nobody wants to watch hbox win with puff again. And that is indisputably what will happen. Again. Just fucking kill it now.
Lincoln Johnson
Who cares? FGC has been cucked since some time in 2016
Hudson Carter
I miss Killer Instinct now, it's a really good game
Liam Kelly
MVCI killed it with only a few traces in between. Marvel community is nonexistent in Japan. Furthermore, the Mouse will have control over the tournament scene once it gains traction again.
Meanwhile Guilty Gear is a fairly established fighting game franchise with a small but very dedicated playerbase that has been a legacy game in Evo (at least before it got banned) with a company that still supports it.
Brayden Cruz
Why are you guys bringing up Rumble Fish? Did something happen recently or what?
Gabriel Morris
>with a small but very dedicated playerbase And yet the entrants drop significantly last year with the latest patch being a bit of nothing. Xrd is pretty much over unless they pull something big out
David Garcia
The Rumble Fish carries the FGC
Jose Thompson
>Melee players leech off smash ultimate for easy twitch subs >Stack ultimate summit with melee players as revenge for ESAM getting into one of the seven melee summits
>most likely dropped from EVO and melee ecelebs have zero chance of placing top 8 in ult
>Kappa literally thinks Melee will get the boot for fucking UNIST lmao
We're now at the point where you have Aris/Jiyuna dicksuckers and Smash 4/Ultimate players saying Melee are the white people of the FGC/Smash, as if that's supposed to be a bad thing indicative of some sort of invisible privilege giving them unfair advantages not afforded to other scenes. Try supporting your fucking scenes outside of EVO.
>Venue attendance and twitch viewership drop off immediately after smash ends because thats all they cared about. Platform fighters is it's own sphere, just leave it as is. They play like different games, especially melee. Where you can lose a stock at 0% to something as dumb as a shine, infinite grab or throw off the stage. Maintaining the lead is always something fleeting that can be taken away at any given moment. Many fighting games just play it safe for the sake of balance, where you just throw out normals and do boring ass footsie shit. Like lets be honest, watching some gamebreaking combos is way more fun then watching a scramble where the opponents just chip at each other.
Is like anything about the new GG even if it was nothing but a logo. Currently the only thing we know is that it exists and Daisuke is locked in the basement working on it.
Wyatt Martinez
I don’t understand why Capcom is so quiet about season 4. It seemed like they learned their lesson with s3.
Henry Wood
I'd hope for the new GG, but I expect they'll save it for ArcRevo, which is fine too, they're only two weeks apart so it's not like the wait will be long.
Colton James
>DOA6 >tones down the blatant sexuality >adds a newbie button for easy combos easy counters
If they had just left the mechanics alone, it would've been a fine contender. But they are trying to appeal to casuals which is the opposite of EVO
Andrew Stewart
>There probably won't be anymore honestly unless they can work a gimmick in. Fujos can find a way
Harvins are too short. I bet the only reason Box got in is because her crown is also part of her hitbox.
Easton Hughes
Because AE's performance was poor and interest in the game is dropping. They've probably realised that throwing out a few costumes each month results in way more profit. That new CPT stage having so much Final Fight stuff makes me wonder if one of the characters in that stage was scrapped. It does feel like around EVO last year someone put the hammer down and they just through out all the content they had left. Meaning whatever S4 plans they had got changed to something simpler. We haven't even got any real leaks so seems like no one knows what is happening.
Probably do something when Type Arcade launches next month but I feel like people really expecting much will end up with another Decapre

Arulumaya and Nio can work.
Juan Cooper
All we're talking about is what game is going to replace Xrd. It's going to be either SC6 or DOA6. Everything else is either returning or getting a sequel.
They're fun as fuck for casuals because of cheap mixups that 80% of the playerbase can't guard And I don't see how your description DOESN'T apply to Tekken
They're fun for casuals as long as they're playing against other casuals.
Dylan Wilson
Arulu seems pretty likely
Zachary Peterson
SFV T7 DBFZ SCVI MK11 Ultimate Melee KOFXIV
Caleb Torres
I might dislike this fat fuck but he better not be bullshitting and get rid of that shit.
Robert Davis
Arulu yeah. I don't know about Nio since she floats.
Owen Diaz
FUCKING PLEASE let Melee finally be gone. Stop pandering to these shitlords.
Owen Diaz
my little potato cant be this sexual
Gavin Rivera
too bad there's no money in the game anymore
Liam Brown
xrd and injustce were the smallest games last year, and injustice is getting replaced with mk11. xrd is gone. wiz already said melee was gone and smashfags have been in denial ever since. this is the final lineup. screenshot this post and put it next to the actual one when the stream starts so you can pretend you were the one who correctly guessed th elineup.
Charlotta will be the most honest characterin GBV, screencap this.
Isaac Miller
KOF wasn't even there last year, why would it suddenly be there now?
Justin Hughes
I agree with this desu, I'd like UNIST to be in but DOA6 is more likely since they're really going for an esports push.
Ryan Hall
It'd be cool.
Charles Green
>DoA 6 Not enough core values
Easton Parker
wiz says "this was melees last year" every year melee finals had more viewers than street fighter and they were cut short at their peak, had armada reset the bracket SF would have been completely btfo
I feel like DOA6 and UNI have the same chance of getting in.
David Reed
>play gg, unist, and melee >might have no games make it this year holy shit what a trash region, two of the best players in mine were puff mains and one gf was enough for me.
Yeah, Wiz might not like how hard it is to set up and schedule Melee, but he knows it'll pull way more entrants and viewers then DOA6 and that it won't upset any advertisers who don't want bouncing breasts.
Eli Foster
>literally no shoulders >that neck That's not a Chad. Just a lanklet lmao.
Noah Carter
Why?
Christopher Anderson
I'll believe it when I see it. And I really want to believe it.
