The Hundred/MillionBlows chain does yes. But they have high accuracy so you just let your enemy waste their guts on some shit then nail them with MillionBlows to instantly knock them out. Rushing Punch is reasonably costed, fairly accurate, and rather high damage. Between that and Scratch+Head Assault Mews are good my dude. They're similar to Hares.

MR4 was a good sequel by expanding how many monsters you could train to 3 and adventure mode had more depth. It also brought back monster mixing which was removed from the awful MR3 sequel.

Maybe so, but I felt like removing death was dumb and spending more time going through dull dungeons instead of quick errantries made it more of a slog to play. Counters are also a horrid mechanic which sorta fucks up the combat half of the game.

well the least jewish way would be an actual monster raising sim just like the console games but use barcodes and music and QR codes to find monsters. If they want some jew but not ruin the game maybe make it based on more irl time with actual seasonal events and tournaments with the gacha being accessories that can be carried over from monster to monster. the irl time can also be used for training to get that player coming back daily

Monster Rancher 1 was a funny game. Giant Golems, Dragons, and Hengers going around but the two strongest monsters are a pink Plant and a blue Pixie.

What the fuck? I kind of get Pokemon, but Harvest Moon? Anyway, they're monster raising games. More similar to old Digimon games than Pokemon, but even then they are quite different. You get one monster (in later games it's more I think) and then feed it, scold it or praise it and just take care of it. And of course you also battle with it in tournaments and it can also just straight up die.

Monster Rancher 2 is considered the best in the series and is easy to emulate. I personally like the playstation Battle Card game but obviously the gameplay is completely different.

Really theres not that much widely available stuff with NFC tags around, the point of monster rancher is that you can find monster EVERYWHERE, being on CDs or DVDs.

Barcodes or QRs work better due to that, rather than tags that are used mostly on expensive toys and devices, as far as i know, the switch cannot read codes or texts and doesnt have cameras either.

Anyone know if emulation can do the disc reading now in 2? I remember using epsxe and just getting the lizard no matter what disc I put in. I think I even tried ISOs and still nothing.

This was a couple years back now so maybe its improved?

Just one to balance the monsters to clean up big outliers like Metalner/Monol and make the tournament/errantry enemies harder. It's most of the way done- just gotta finish like 5 breeds and some errantry foes.
