Can’t be arsed replying to the specific posts, but what is it with brainlets and by being able to understand that sometimes ambiguity or mysteries can help make a universe feel more real, and interesting? If you explain every detail of the lore then it literally just becomes an encyclopaedia of made up shit, with no room for speculation

I mean, I don't know how Halo is anymore since they raped it so hard. But imagine, the Flood is back, and Chief actually losing hope. Like, mainly about the chief doing whatever he needs to take out the infection, but dealing with realizing the Forerunner couldn't remove it, and no matter what he does, it never seems to completely eradicate it. And unless it's possible to completely wipe the galaxy, the flood will always be present. Could almost have the game give you the choice at the end. Fire the rings via the Ark, or not.
