mgs2 was so ahead of its time (gameplaywise and storywise). too bad mgs3 started taking the series downhill with mary sue boss and stupid gameplay mechanics (pause all th time to eat/heal/change cammo, shitty camera etc) and mgs4 just shat on the bed completely. mgr was decent at least, wish that could get a sequel

MGS3 was unironically made because Kojima felt that no one understood MGS2. So he created the most vapid, classic, campy spy story to suit the fans' wishes. And they ate it all up.
Raiden wouldn't have saved Sunny, thus the Patriots would still be alive and have won.
