He gets abilities exclusive to the Enmas, access to every technique in the game, fully customizable stats which go up in insane intervals with the right teachers, etc. The only thing holding him back is the lack of a good physical attack and spirit-based soultimates being limited to Strawberry Roar and Lovely Meow, which is a healing Soultiamte.

Honestly my main problem with BBQ is that it could never be as fleshed out as Springdale is. 1 is honestly the most skippable one of the series, because the beginning of 2 essentially retcons 1 out of existence, and you're gonna get stuff explained to you anyway. The only references you'll see about 1 are either a couple bosses or a character or two. 1 might as well be its own separate thing entirely, it feels so different from the rest of the series.
It's really bizarre to me that Mr. Goodsight is never referenced to be a Yokai ever again after you got told he was in 1 though.
In all honesty though, you can gun those quests pretty fast, although 1 has a really mediocre map and navigation that the other games improved upon.

Basically, when tackling the Emma Awoken dungeon via the scannable Awoken Tag, he has the opportunity to drop Prestigious Treasures, which boost a Yokai's Rank, in Clu T Facts. The exploit is putting all of your equipment in your IN DUNGEON inventory using the Inventory Box, which rests your treasure level. This is vital because without it, the dungeon scales to your treasure level, and becomes fucking balls hard and time consuming.

Go to the Yokai Watch World website, then scan the tags in the qr code section. They have 100 codes. Also, you can use the equipment, just make sure to put the stuff in your inventory then re-equip the stuff after you get out of Burly's Jeep. Completely circumvents the difficulty.

Its a cinematic similar to Captain Falcons, the enemies are teleported to the crossroad where Jibanyan is first found by Nate, a truck speeds by and the figters are stuck to the front of it, then Jibanyan does his Paws of Fury as the truck closes in on him. The enemies take the damage, but the scene ends with Jibanyan getting hit by the truck like usual.

I know about Digimon, it just slipped my mind when I originally posted. It's just that Yokai Watch had this certain charm that entranced even from the first game, and after 4, I kinda doubt there are going to be anymore games if it doesn't do well

They tried to make the series like Pokemon by having two of the same games but different versions, and then a complete third version. They did that with 3 as well in Japan, but they did the smart thing when localizing it and just making it one game.

Can I just say one detail about the Yokai Watch games that I adore is that before the battle starts, the track that plays plays on an endless loop of the first few seconds of it, and when you ready up and start the battle, the song starts playing fully?

>using a grid on top of special abilities and debuffing is a lot to keep track of, making battling very engaging
>finding yokai is simple and convenient
>whisper is pretty entertaining
>voice blurbs at every speech bubble is annoying and unnecessary
>made worse when you cant turn off voices without turning off all sound effects
>cant speed up the text itself
>some scenes are not needed at all and are just pointless filler (the bit with BBQvil and Jibanyan wanting to fight a truck)
>the entirety of Hailey's intro chapter is stupid, boring, and needs a rewrite
>the anime tropes are REALLY over the top, being completely ridiculous
>jibanyan is an annoying little fuck wit

The anime assumes there's one of each yo-kai, though it picks and chooses halfway in the series.
In the games it's a case-by-case basis. Because of how some are encountered (single but strong or in pairs of 3), you could be fighting them at only a fraction of their power and they are literally split into a million versions

Here's a tip: Go to use a Soultimate, wait a second, and then back out of it to bait them into position. The enemies will move regardless if you use it or not.

Hard to say, but 2/3 cut down on making new reskins quite a bit compared to 1.
Though for comparison, at least 52 of the 700+ Kai that aren't bosses are Jibanyan recolors/alts, most of which are hard to get outside of specific conditions
