Gearbox helped port Halo 1 to the PC and did a lot of the development for the PC version.

Gearbox was Bungie's understudy before they left and 343 was formed.

Plus, BL1 basically played like Halo 1. Same gamefeel.

Look, while the thought of current Gearbox making Halo does make me cringe, the reality is that back then they had some potential. They had good shooters in the Brothers in Arms series, namely RtH30 and EiB, and then there was Borderlands 1 and 2. So theres really no telling of what couldve happened if Gearbox did Halo. Maybe they wouldnt have lost their way, or maybe not. But we'll never know now that your goddamn studio is running Halo into the ground.

I'm not saying that, that was my first post in the thread. I didn't play the first Halo game on xbox, but I did play it when it first released on PC. I'll be honest, I don't remember any of the issues you mentioned, and I haven't seen them in the game recently. I played some multiplayer the other night and it seemed fine.

343 did that because Don Mattrick wanted them too, Reach really damaged Halo to the point where Don was scared to make a Halo game like Halo CE-3 so he told 343 to scrap the original Halo 4 and start fresh making it play more like COD, they were even using the Halo 3 engine at first.

Let's not forget that 343 won't add any gay or trans characters in Infinite or make characters gay while Gearbox would have done that. Yea Forums stop being contrarian for once.
