I honestly have played about a grand total of 30 minutes of Rune Factory and have no idea who any of those characters are, I just went by looks. It's not my style of game.

If you don't care for the romance aspect, the game is still fun, its an RPG with dungeons, equipment, crafting, magic, leveling. I think the dialogue by itself is enough for a person to play the games, as they're all pretty funny too. Specially 3 with all the characters having a really over the top quirk.

You know there's a trick, right? Just tell your potential marriage partner to follow you and go to bed. If you wake up and they say you have to go, you've triggered an event involving them. Just keep resetting every few days.

I did that but it wasn't happening. Probably too many random events that I hadn't seen yet, and this was on a file that was on the final floor of the post-game dungeon. I was trying it because I did want to at least be married when I beat it, and I guess I had just had horrible luck the entire game. Whenever I play these games I always make sure to talk to everyone once a day, so it's not like I hadn't been trying.

I really enjoyed frontier- i know some people say the runey system is a drag (which it is) but i didnt find it that bad.

My number 1 issue with it was the load times between areas. If you can emulate it and it loads quicker then you are golden.

Oceans has fast load times but the farming aspect is like totally replaced with someone else that isnt as enjoyable. It is more of an adventure/dungeon crawler type of game.

The more of the series you want to play, the earlier you should start. Each title has major improvements and QoL changes that make it hard to go backwards, and the early titles have some frustrating design choices.
In the first game, whenever the season changes, all your crops die. And you can't drop items, only destroy them. But they're all still fun farming sims with simple combat and a story.

Don't you remember? You meet your ancestor runemate in a cutscene and they are the player character that you didn't pick.
If you picked Lest then Frey appears and vice versa.
Which is why the child hair color always makes sense whether or not you play as frey since that green hair gene is somewhere in lest.

4 would probably be the safest choice if you aren't sure if it's going to be something you actually like or not, since it's the most polished of the series. The ones that come before it are good, but have varying levels of jank/lost of QoL aspects that might be hard to take for those who aren't used to it. But starting with 4 or 3 and working your way down is also harder for that same reason too.

A postgame sidequest involves them, and she doesn't seem to mind walking alongside Gaius with a ring on her finger (in-context, to best show off said ring as fashion around town). There's hope in her coming around to him.

I like this and will add that since Meg is practically his daughter you should have high FP with her and have completed the events that explain why he doesn't want to marry.

no, its just the yearly, mandatory Doraemon game. Japs love their Doraemon game. And surprisingly this time the game look pretty neat too.

Bokujou typically has Hashimoto as the director, and since Doraemon does not have him on it I think that it's safe to assume that the mystery space on Hashimoto's website as seen here is the next Bokujou/SoS game.
