Comfy Nintendo Switch thread

What's everyone playing on their Switch right now? Feels like a bit of a drought desu, all the games I was looking forward to this quarter have all been delayed. The one game I'm looking forward to in the near future is Yoshi's Crafted World, then the real wait begins.

Also, shill me good platformer/metroidvania games, I feel like i've already played them all.

Splatoon 2 at the moment and some Smash... I just really want news about Animal Crossing. So far I'm waiting for Maker 2 and FE, all the rest doesn't have a confirmed release date yet.
I need more Nintendo friendos desu.

Might pick up Stein gate when money isn’t as tight.
I’m not much of a rumor whore but do you think Scalebound will come to Switch with an obvious name change?

How do I stop

I could probably have finished VC4 by now but Smash won't stop

this is starting to remind me of those pathetic vita threads

you guys arent ashamed to post these kind of shovelware lists?
its pathetic

I'm doing fine. Feels like I can't keep up since I don't actually use my PS4 for anything but exclusives. All the Indies and ports are actually a godsend. Looking forward to Remilore and Fate Extella Link soon.

Why do you have 2 Xenoblade 2 icons? You have both games in physical form? (I have phys Xeno2 and digital Torna, so I can access it only when I start Xeno2).

Anyway...
Playing Dungeon Rushers. It's not a bad game, actually. I love those mindless dungeon crawlers, and this is just what I needed while waiting for Chocobo Dungeon and Caligula.

Funny enough almost everyone I knew who owned a vita now owns a Switch

This is the comfy thread, not the seething thread

Playing Smite and Minecraft while I wait for Rune Factory 4/5 and Dragon Quest Builders 2.

Haven't played either of those games in a few years and it's nice going back and playing them on a handheld.

xbc2 torna

I didn’t think I’d like smite has much as a currently done

What are you, me?

Attached: 1436418.png (413x437, 148K)

Suck my balls, user.
Redpill me on ''The Liar Princess...'', user.
Also, would you suggest playing Phantasy Star on Switch, or PS2 remake (translated, of course, since it didn't come out of Japan). I played PSO and Universe, have Mega Drive Ultimate collection for X360 for some time now, but I've never actually tried those old PS games.

Splatoon 2 and Danmaku Unlimited 3. Splatoon wise, I've mainly been playing Salmon Run these last few days for a change which has been fun.
Any reccomendations for single player games that aren't the obvious, ideally something I can get really stuck into. I've not played all the obvious ones, but I'm not super excited to play any of them either.
AC's gonna be fun, looking forward to that more than I thought I would be.
Maybe try start with VC4 when you start playing stuff, then switch to Smash afterwards when you feel like it. You might just switch away pretty soon if you're really into Smash, but maybe you'll get a bit in beforehand.
I own both too, so make that one more.

Attached: 1550715623490.png (2048x1536, 3.21M)

Smite's legit great. I played it from the first CBT batch all the way up until probably 2015. Some of the gods they create are really interesting in playstyle, and I've still been keeping up with the development even during my break. The next one coming out has some really cool gimmicks to him, and as a guardian main I'm excited.

Never saw the reason for playing Console Smite when PC exists, but being able to play it in my hands at least justifies it.

Not him but it's a very cute game that was rather fun to play through.
Not the most amount of playtime for $20 but 6 hours for a really cute and good looking indie game isn't too bad.

Attached: Got myself a prince.png (200x254, 37K)

The only switch game i have is smash, but im looking forward animal crossing, Deltarune and pokemon coming out this year.

Im also interested on buying sonic mania or hollow knight

Attached: t pose marie.jpg (320x320, 17K)

Just got pic related, man, while i'm playing it suddenly i'm 8 again.

Also just bought Owlboy and Yooka Laylee both physical, they arrive on wednesday.

Love the Switch, best console i've had since the old days of the N64.

Attached: IMG_h3t6hb.jpg (4128x2322, 3.81M)

I just impulse bought a ton of RPGs and now I have no idea how I'm going to balance them.

When you're playing through a few different games at once, how do you split your time among them?

Thank you, user!

Currently playing Tales, Octopath, Wargroove, and Smash. Seriously my favorite system purchase since the Dreamcast. Probably gonna pick up Monster Hunter on payday, so I can play a good MonHun game again, and on the go to boot.

Playing Final Fantasy IX, reliving the memories.

Attached: Rat.jpg (787x687, 142K)

Liar Princess is good, not great, but good. I'm a sucker for games like it Firefly Diaries, Yomiwari and such. It is really short but the music, visuals, and story are great. Pick it up on sale if the length is an issue.

The Sega Ages Phantasy Star is fucking great. The quick and easy equipment guide you can access at any time is really nice. Built in autoap for the dungeons and also a more reasonable encounter rate. If you want to play it like the original the settings are there for that too.

I hated Octopath honestly. Don't know why it became such a meme here.

been playin devil's engine, its okay but god am i trash at it

>all that garbage

Next game I'm venturing into on the system is LEGO DC Super Villains, then I won't be picking anything else up until the summer when Team Sonic Racing and Super Mario Maker 2 come out. Might consider LEGO City Undercover since I've heard good things about it as well though.

Get Risk of Rain, Transistor, Velocity 2X, Celeste, and if you have friends, Towerfall

I've got 150 hours out of Darkest Dungeon. An amazing game when you don't Google anything
60 hours out of Into the Breach, really good as well
Then there's the more obvious recommendations like Hollow Knight, Celeste, Dead Cells, Tetris 99, xb2, BoI afterbirth

Not that user, but I don't like it either. But then, again, I didn't like DQ11. Those 2 games aren't bad, I think I just picked the ''wrong time'' to play them, if you know what I mean. I think Octopath would be much more interesting if you play solo run.
Well fuck it, P. Star is on sale now. Thx, user!

Well, we already are! Sorry we got screwed that round.

Do you want to be my friendo?

Yes, bought the phys.ver. of Torna.

>ideally something I can get really stuck into

Hollow Knight.

Mostly Into the Breach and Civ. I keep ragequitting both. I used to be able to play prince without getting war’d on.

I like lair princess
It’s a good mixture of cute indie bullshit and “What did you expect to happen?”
I recommend

I enjoyed the stories of the eight characters. They were all well written, and the voice acting was a lot better than in most games nowadays. Actually got me invested in it more, if anything. I can understand why people wouldn't like it, but for me, it was actually the game that got me to buy the Switch, and I don't regret it.

Tales of Vesperia

Attached: __patty_fleur_and_yuri_lowell_tales_of_series_and_etc_drawn_by_rento_rukeai__fb36c86342f829532e0b22e (794x1056, 835K)

I personally prefer playing through one game at a time. More immersion, more enjoyment. If I AM playing through multiple games, they better be different genres, like a multiplayer on the side and a platformer as my main.

I recommend Minit. Someone on Yea Forums recommended it to me and I snagged it up. It is pretty cheap and remarkably compelling (though it is less than two days of gameplay).

20 hours in and I just couldn't get into Octopath. A lot of what I read pointed towards it being more of the same, so I just gave up on it

Id say about half were well written, the rest, not so much
And I hated the dungeons and the sidequests. Bosses were good, but that's about it.

Soundtrack in Octopath is amazing, I think we can all agree on that.

I mostly played it in bed watching netflix, so I didn't hear most of it lol

Playing CivVI, Unholy Nights and Wargroove right now.

I mentioned on a thread last night about regretting about buying DKCTF and forgot to reply. I honestly couldn't tell you why I don't like it. I figured I'd give it a go, but I've never been big on the DKC series. I think the snes one looks ugly and its gameplay has never really captured me. Then again I like sonic so what do I know about Platforming

Also to the guy who asked about Civ, i think if you're coming in from PC you'll immediately notice that the load times are pretty slower. I'm on turn 200 the now and and its doing fine, but from what I've heard the game will shit itself later. Other than that I like it, its pretty much just want I want. Civ with a touch screen for when I'm not at my PC to play Civ.

Attached: ree.jpg (599x594, 55K)

Should I get Generations Ultimate?
Last one game I played was the original Generations and I don't remember why I stopped playing one year later.

I bought Starlink on a whim
It's not that bad from what little I've played so far, especially for the £20 you can get it at. The Arwing is a nice little model too, the blue thruster-y bits are on ratchet joints and can move up and down too, and the main thruster in the back even lights up when on the mount.

I will strangle you, user.

>all these VNs
why
why would you waste money like this

Darkest Dungeon does look interesting, Dead Cells too, the issue I kinda envisioned with Dead Cells was just hitting a wall and not making any progress though. Like I do enjoy roguelites, but I also want to beat a game. What's progress like in Darkest Dungeon, is there a story or is it just endless adventuring?
I'd get Celeste and Isaac if I didn't already have them on PC, might actually pick up Celeste again if it goes on sale. XB2 I've heard doesn't run well handheld, so I'll wait till I'm more in the mood to sit down at the television.
Pehaps I should finally get Hollow Knight, the look of it and having to pick up stuff when you die put me off a bit, but I do like that kind of game.

>It's not that bad from what little I've played so far
Everything you do on the first planet will be done on every other planet. It's very shallow and the Star Fox mission is kind of disappointing.

Hours are a lie

You know, with all the hype for the sequel now, I'm almost tempted to rebuy Darkest Dungeon on Switch now so I can play it on the go. What content is included? Just the base game, or is all the DLC included?

>Mom bought Dad a Switch for Xmas
>he has never played it
>he probably never will play it
>she bought him Smash and Diablo 3
>want to play them both
>know he will act all pissy if I ask to borrow them
fucking family man

>grown man can't even ask parents to borrow their things
>can't get his own switch
that is very sad

I think you can buy the base game or buy it with DLC.

Oh. Guess I should have expected that from Ubisoft really. At least I didn't pay full price for it.

Attached: 1543037489531.jpg (376x440, 24K)

Are the torna and the base game separate icons even if you download it as dlc for the base game?

I mean, for that price it's not bad. Think of it as a pretty indie game with Fox in it.

Didn’t you try the demo?
There was 2 demos
If you can’t tell if you’d like a game that put out 2 demos you obviously haven’t been doing your homework

this thing was a godsend, perfect to play comfy and have fun in short burst

Attached: tetris99650x366.png (650x366, 326K)

It’s fine
My pro controller sucks dick but I’m too cheap to replace it
Ill add you shortly

>Think of it as a pretty indie game with Fox in it.
That's probably a good idea, yeah. And there's the update with some new bits soonish too, at the very least it'll keep me going while waiting for DMC5.

You're right, I should have bought v-buvks or maybe some lootboxes for the latest live service """"""game"""""". I like anime girls, what do you want me to say?

I'm playing Troll and I ironically. I don't recommend this pain to anyone.

You could have bought actual games on the eShop.

I'd say go for it, but I don't know why you stopped either.

If you have physical Xenoblade 2 and bought digital Torna, you will have only 1 icon. Xenoblade 2. You can then play Torna when you start Xenoblade 2.
Thanks for the avoid-recommendation.
The only games I regret buying are Furi and FFXV Pocket Edition. Yes, I bought FFXV. Just... don't ask.

Fuck yes
This is one of the few games if you don’t like Nintendo games to be worth the price of a console
T. Played for over 1000 hours

Demo doesn't show you that the dungeons are baby-tier even in the endgame

What's wrong with it?

Today will be the day that I unlock Golem Bomber in Super Bomberman R. I know that I play this game pretty slowly, but imo Bomberman was made for short bursts. After I get him I can start working on the other 4 Dastardly Bombers. It actually takes quite a bit of money to unlock everything in this game, but if there is one thing I have in vidya it is patience.

Attached: chara_e_golembom.png (218x220, 10K)

yes different icons since torna its a standalone game

Digital or physical?

no just get world ultimate its on the Stone Age compared to Worlds

Just got Tales of Vesperia and waiting for it to ship. Only other Tales game I played was Abyss when it came out on ps2 and I didn't finish it. Wish I could find tropical freeze for cheaper.

You're not getting a reply from me, dummy boy

Hollow Knight, I'm at the third trial in the Colosseum of Fools and it's kicking my ass but I can't quit since I beat the first 2 in a row and my autism demands I finish up before I do anything else, even though I just got the King's Brand and a bunch of new areas like the palace are probably open to me now

Attached: 1550988306184.png (500x566, 124K)

True but they give you a good idea how the game plays

Recently finished Valkyria 4 and Dragon marked for death.
Didn't own a WIIU so I've been playing NSMBUD, pretty fun so far but nothing really special.
Gonna check out the Travis strikes again dlc when it comes out.
I have a ton of backlog, so I'm gonna skip Yoshi for sure. Doesn't really look that appealing to me.

Tetris 99 has kept me so busy that time is basically flying by. I'm almost not ready for a new game at this point because then I'd probably have to stop and work on a backlog again. Thinking of playing Dark Souls again, so far I've put in like, 100 hours into that game. I'm past the Painted World, and have beaten the Four Kings and Grave Lord Nito. I haven't touched Xenoblade Golden Country in a long time, so I may have forgotten some of the fundamentals of its new mechanics.

please add me too, I like seeing what other people are playing even if I can't send them messages cause of Nintendo's shit online service.

I'll add you now!

Bought Tumbleseed for £1 + gold points and i'm having fun with it, it's very cute and challenging with a surprisingly deep narrative. The game was a monetary flop when it first came out and I feel really bad for the devs because you can tell how much work they put into it.

Wait really? I have to try that now.

Attached: 1550785996356.jpg (720x447, 98K)

I just got a switch with the $35 eshop credit. I'm thinking of either getting Labyrinth of Refrain or VC1. LoR looks intense, I'm familiar with Nippon ichi games and dungeon crawlers so I kinda get what game it's going to be, but VC I'm unfamiliar with and just know that it's a strategy RPG with real time elements. Which is the better game for on the go play?

>Go to youtube to mitigate my boredom
>Digital foundry did an examination to the new trials open beta on switch

WHAT THE FUCK. When did Ubisoft announce that?

Yoshi's Crafted World doesn't really hold my attention like Wooly World did. It's way too easy, even by Yoshi game standards, and it seems to play like Yoshi's Story did. Not a fan of looping back in 2D stages, I just don't think that kind of design is good for a 2D platformer. Who here has tried Daemon X Machina out?

Get VC.

Do you guys mind if I add you? And no, I don't play Splatoon.

Everything
Like troll and I makes TORtanic look like a masterpiece

>Which is the better game for on the go play?
VC1 is pretty short, has a mission based structure, and requires almost no strategy

I'm from Mexico and I'm enjoying Splatoon 2 Octo Expansion

I have been thinking about getting TWEWY: Final Remix, Vesperia and VC4, looking forward to Dragon's Dogma

I'm gonna recommend some games from my country

Mulaka, it's a 3D Action Adventure game similar to Okami with puzzles and stuff, it's currently on sale

Patobox, it's a 3D Action game similar to Punch Out and it is suda51 favorite 2018 game

Literally 2 games I recommend digital are Splatoon 2 and MHGU

Darkest Dungeon is all about making the best out of a bad situation.

There's definitely a clear story in DD, but it's a long game. The goal of the game is basically to tackle the Darkest Dungeon, which is an area in the game accessible from the start. However it will take you double digit hours to build a team that can do the job.
That's what makes it so great. There are 4 main areas you can explore, each with their own couple of bosses.
Everytime you send out a team for exploration, stuff happen in your town.

You will get attached to team members which will get slaughtered mercilessly, you will get desperate for a bite of bread, you will wish you took in another Shovel with you on an excavation. The game will take you to from serious depression to unheightened happiness and back. It was truly a 10/10 experience for me, and those aren't many.

Regarding xb2 I've heard that the framerate issues on handheld are completely fixed.

That’s CrapCom for you
They do 1 thing right then fuck up 6 other things
Outside Big hitters DQ builders was definitely my GOTY 2017
The only thing I hated was how limited the soundtrack was.
I found myself bumping Metallica, The Weeknd and anything but that repetitive music

Fuck off Eric
We know you still haven’t played BOTW despite almost 2 fucking years seething about it

How well does games like VC4 and Ys VIII run?

Do it faggot
I like discord when I know I got good people

Why do you regret Furi? I was about to buy that for a 2nd time on Switch.

Which region did you buy it from?

prebuy
the japanese version is multi language

Is it coming out tomorrow? nice. friendly reminder to all sudanons, the ce hasn't shipped yet and when it does, I'll take pictures of the artbook and we'll have a nice thread

It's fun but short - around 10 hours or so. Story is whatever. Platforming can be a lot of fun.

Why is one 10% less?

>Who here has tried Daemon X Machina out?
I've only done a couple missions but I'm in. I dig giant robots, as the song goes, so I'm happy just getting to pilot one and fire missiles at shit.
That does certainly sound fun, think I might wait on that one a bit though, maybe wait for a sale. Think I might pick up Dead Cells next week actually, feels more like what I'm in the mood for right now.
That's great to hear on XB2 if that's true, I'll have to make sure of that though, but I'll get to it eventually anyway.
I like your name.

Great to see you again too, Yea Forums is a small world I guess. Thanks again for the family plan even if I haven't been using it much recently because of holidays with family and my recent obsession with Hollow Knight
I meant what I said back then too, when the family plan expires I'll buy my own and do what you did, adding anons onto it so they don't have to be jewed.

¿Eres de Latinoamerica? ¿Necesitas una cuenta japonesa para comprarlo?

I made a mistake. Instead of doing what I usually do when a new game comes out - watch gameplay videos on Youtube - I just looked at few screenshots, listened to OST and decided to buy the game. I didn't expect to see a game where you have only boss battles, with 0 exploration. Dropped it after 30-40 mins and I will never play it again.

Small world huh?

the full price redirects to the 10% less, i suppose its a promotion for prebuy the game

It's been my username since forever. When I was young my neighbor had the OG Xbox, and we played a lot of racing games together, so it comes from the name of the console since I didn't have my own at the time. 64 came later, when I was in high school Minecraft was just starting to get popular, and 64 comes from the number of items in an inventory stack. It's a weird name but I've had it for so long I'm not willing to change it now.

How did I do? I'm getting Ace Attorney any day now, too.
Fornite's for my little cousin, I swear

Are there any portable docks you fuckers would recommend? Looking for one to take to mates' houses so I don't have to keep unplugging mine.

What does yellow mean? Also SNK 40th anniversary is on PS4 too

True
Shit if I wasn’t addicted to Splatoon 2 I’d be down

Attached: 7EF8E9E1-F5AA-46B4-B22B-351C5757B741.gif (500x500, 1.77M)

This, Golf Story and Retro City Rampage are it. Tomorrow I'm buying three games on craigslist for $100, though. Already bought Mario Kart 8 and all DLC for Wii U so I felt burned about rebuying, and I already beat Captain Toad on Wii U but it'll be nice to play them both again. Plus I just beat Splatoon so stating 2's story so soon will be nice. Sucks about the online, though.

god i wish consoles were cool enough to allow modders to do their thing.
If i could use the moguri/esrgan mod on FFIX on the switch i'd buy it without hesitation, idgaf about that world map music restarting after a battle bug.

Dude, is that you? 500 hours in Splatoon 2? Bro...

Why do capcom hate us so?

So excited for Box Boy and Box Girl bros

Bayo 2 any good? It's a little pricey in Leafland.

Attached: eggman.jpg (480x514, 21K)

Been playing Vesperia. Octopath sucks btw
based, Patty a best.

Answer me you fucks I know some of you buy whatever shit releases on the console

Ate my damn picture again. Got Rime at Target on a double cartwheel discount. Haven't even touched it yet

Attached: 20190225_175215.jpg (2560x1440, 1.29M)

Does switch have enough weeb stuff to make it a Vita 2 yet?

Attached: butt.png (360x178, 34K)

Yep
I don’t know where all the time goes
I’m still shit at the game
I’m gonna take a break to eat and drink more beer

Was it tomorrow I thought NoA tweeted it would be the 28

no, isn't me, Hollow Knight is my new obsession but I'm thinking of getting back into Splatoon after I beat the Pantheon.

It works man, simple's the best. The username I use in general, while a lot more recent, is just: cool word + initial of my surname. I just use my name on my switch though. And 64's a good number anyway.

Get it physical
Bayo 2 is good but it’s better to play Bayo 1 so you’d actually appreciate all the QOL changes they made like lack of insta-death

i really enjoyed bayo2. it has the download code for the first so you get 2 games if you haven't played the first one yet.

i was however not really a fan of 1, i felt it relied a little too much on witch time.

If you liked Bayo 1 you'll like Bayo 2
Rime sucks I'm sorry to say. You're not missing anything.

I’m just sittin here playing wild world on my fat old DS waiting for AC2019 to come out.
I hope they get really ambitious with the next title while also preserving the core feel/gameplay. A dream AC title would be something like having a GCN sized town with all the workings of the previous games, but then also the ability to travel out into a big open world and visit other towns (that are in your “world” connected as one huge map, not just traveling online to another persons game). Would be cool to adventure to other biomes to find new fish, bugs, neighbors, etc. Like maybe one of your villagers goes and moves to another town on the other side of the world but you can go visit them whenever. Also no rolling log

Have almost 300 hours with Hyrule Warriors because want to 100% that game, also nearly 175 hours with Ultimate, have mastered the ways of the Plant, Ridley and Could, Bayo, Link, Dorf and Mewtwo coming after. Waiting for Astral Chain, Mario Maker 2 and Yoshi's Crafted World.

Never played Undertale before, is it worth getting it in the sale?

Toejam and Earl 4 Back in the Groove releases March 1st, im ready to be a kid again, and im lookin forward to the TSA Shinobu DLC, but im mainly playing Smash

Attached: 685f7d71e1748831338ac2088e42e1d897dd896fd98d1e242293214701cc59f5.gif (350x232, 1.76M)

Once Atlus and Dangonronpa stop holding out it’ll surpass the vita otherwise almost but not quite
By the end of this year I’m almost certain

it good

That's only local wireless, meaning that you connect your Switch to another nearby. Considering how bad it is, I totally understand not having played it at all.

Yes
I enjoyed Undertale but you basically need to play in absolutes otherwise the game treats you like garbage
You either spare everyone or kill everyone
The neutral ending is pretty gay

Same here. Tetris 99 is unironically the best battle royale game of all time.

Bayo 2 is great, has lots of content and the other characters are fine. Just try not to play it woth joy cons, felt them too small for the button mashing requiered with some combos. Other than that, it's an insta-buy if you like Platinum's games

>The neutral ending is pretty gay
It's not only gay, but you need to get it before you can get the pacificst ending, which as you said makes not going fully eitherway really fucking pointless.

Based and Sudapilled

I love and fucking hate Tetris 99
I won once and honestly did a backflip in excitement I’ve never had a more intense Tetris match
After that however i’ve been lucky to get into the top 10
Down right blessed by god to get 3rd place

what I mean is
those are the versions without the porn
so what's the fucking point

I still haven't had time to finish that mech demo. I moved and fucked up an upgrade/downgrade thing on choidujour.
Thank fuck I got to sit down for 15 minutes and fix it only to get called in to work.
Fuck.

I still haven't gotten around to trying it out, but I might just sink my teeth into DxM tonight. What's the gameplay like? More tactical? More action? I'm kind of hoping for something similar to Zone of the Enders, but I know nothing will ever top that one.

Anyone here lose a good paying job and have a crappy one, and thank their lucky stars they bought a Switch when they had more money? I feel like I dodged a bullet of having to wait a long fucking time before I could afford a Switch.

This
Switch has saved me a ton of money
I’m pretty it helped me stop drinking so heavily because I had something to focus on

So I'm trying to decide between doom and katamari, does anyone know if either has problems running in handheld mode? Would mostly like to play both with head phones so I can hear the music.

DOOM is actually more stable in handheld than docked. I played the whole campaign that way. My only real complaint was that sometimes it's too dark and I'd miss things like the levers for the classic levels. Can't comment on Katamari

Sounds like a good investment. It may have very well saved your life in the long run. Who says video games are bad for you?

Yeah I know. Shouldn't have bought it. Got rused by the fucking demo, I had a lot of fun with it, but didn't realise how fragmented the base game's story would be

Get Doom, it's well worth it. I'm on my third playthrough, trying to see if I can beat Nightmare mode.

When does anyone think rune factory 4 is coming?

I mean seems pretty action based to me, but I'm not too into mecha games so I've never played ZoE so I can't compare them.
Katamari's been fine handheld for me.
Coming this year ain't it? Autumn time if I had to guess; if it was summer it'd probably have a date like Astral Chain does, and it's a remaster so it shouldn't be too far off.

Doom is really good especially with gyro
Katamari is fun and surprisingly more difficult than it appear
Doom is a solid 9
Katamari is 8.2

I want some comfy switch games to play while I wait for the massive influx of games this summer. Something not too expensive that's easy to jump into.

What are your Day 1 games for the year bros?

>Super Mario Maker 2
>Box Boy & Girl
>Astral Chain
>Luigi's Mansion 3

No, if you get it as DLC then it's accessed from the in-game main menu.

They are but there’s things much worse for you
Video games > Crack

Bayo 2 is inferior to 1 in every way other that insta death qte

Thoughts on my KANTOOOOO backplate? Got it from AliExpress kek, surprisingly good quality, identical to the original.

Attached: IMG_20190223_150147.jpg (3840x2160, 1.21M)

Mario Maker
Astral chain
Bayo 3
SMT V

>day 1
Animal crossing
>week/month 1
Mario Maker 2
>any time, maybe wait til Christmas/birthday
Zelda remake
Yoshi

Z.O.E is pretty fast paced and heavily melee oriented. So if it manages to be those two things, it's a lot like it. If it's mostly ranged combat, then I'd probably say it's different. Normally I don't like Kojima's shit, but Z.O.E is one of those series' of his that I highly recommend. 2 is the best one.

Nice
I unironically hate I couldn’t find a Let’s go bundle because I needed that fucking dock

Super Mario Maker 2
Animal Crossing
Luigi's Mansion 3
Maybe Daemon X Machina depending on how much I like the demo
Pikmin 4

Super Mario Maker 2, Astral Chains, Bayonetta 3, and Metroid Prime 4.

also Hollow Knight Silksong

For switch Luigi’s mansion 3 and astral chain. Probably animal crossing too.

Finished Tales of Vesperia and now playing the Sega Ages Phantasy Star 1. I'm having so much fun.

>Yoshi's Crafted World
>Super Mario Maker 2
>Zelda: Link's Awakening
>Animal Crossing
>Astral Chain
>Luigi's Mansion 3
>Pokemon Gen 8

I think vidya can be alright so long as the person doesn't overdo. But hell, even if you overdo it with video games, overdoing it with crack is much, much worse. That shit will literally kill your ability to feel pleasure.

DxM seems to be pretty ranged combat, but I'd be surprised if you can't get melee weapons at some point, think even AC had swords. I've heard ZOE is good, just never really felt like paying up that much for used PS2 games.

Forgot to include

>Hollow Knight: Silksong
>Shovel Knight: King of Cards

fucking when

WHo else would pay stupid money for themes and badges like the 3DS?

Is Puyo Puyo Tetris worth 30 dollars?

I'm loving Tetris 99 and would like to be able to play local co-op Tetris

I have 33€ on my account. Any games you guys would recommend?
Also, is the Switch version of Vesperia good enough to get that version or does it have any issues?

Attached: 61754810_p0.png (1275x1875, 1.24M)

Puyo isn't co-op from what I understand. It's only VS with up to 3 other players or CPU's.

I love it and the story is pretty funny at times, but I wish we had just a regular old Tetris game for switch. Something I could marathon and sprint in and such.

So do any of you want to play Smash? Don't care what ruleset you wanna play

Damn that's a cute Link, my heart.

>Astral Chain
>Silksong
>Mario Maker 2
That's it, that's all.

Give me Miku or give me death Nintendo.
Would you say it's worth £20 for the story + that mode online where you swap between puyo and tetris? Not looking for super competitive, I'm half decent at GB Tetris and thats it.

Attached: 70544590_p0.png (3000x3000, 3.65M)

I'd like a nice KK Slider theme..

Also yes I'd say it's worth that. Even playing against the computer is fun if you don't want to get online and get whooped by some NEET from japan

Bought the neon pink/green Joy Con set the other day they look really nice

In the US. My brother's elite pro at gamestop (20% off of used shit) expires in 1 hour. I already got Smash, TWEWY, Dark Souls, Minecraft, and a pro controller. Should I get anything else before they close?

Updated stuff
>Physicals

I really like saying the name Atelier, the games any good?

wtf is this shit?

Attached: smite-cover.cover_large.jpg (600x600, 177K)

The only game I'm not going to rent is Super Mario Maker 2. Still need to get Ultimate, though. It really sucks how stingy Nintendo is being with their prices this gen. Thank you, craigslist.

Isn't it just third person League of Legends?

ive only played the arland trilogy so far
the combat and exploration are pretty basic but the crafting system is pretty good
definitely worth it if you want a relaxing game to play, dont let the time limit system get to you its forgiving enough where it isnt a huge hurdle

dont buy them though theyre stupidly overpriced

Yeah it’s WoW pvp, simplified in MOBA form with a mythology theme

>if you don't want to get online and get whooped by some NEET from japan
That is indeed the concern I have. That's nice to hear, think I'll pick this up then.
Those do look really nice, just not £60 nice for me personally, maybe if I ever need a second pair for some reason.

I tried to get into valkyria chronicles 4
It just isn't grabbing me

I doubt they've got any copies, but Katamari Damacy is great, Xenoblade 2 is my favorite switch game, but it might not be your type of thing

If you haven't already played Twewy yet, make sure to play single player co-op (play co-op alone), its a very different experience to the DS version, but still comparable if we are talking about enjoyment

It is becoming my JRPG machine. Torna/Tales on the way. Octopath art/music is amazing but the rest is a shit

>look at the eShop
>Nothing but trash
Where the fuck is the quality control?

Oh good idea. I 100% the DS version twice over the past decade and am really liking this port so far. It makes sense that the light puck is missing but the new sync system makes a bit more sense as it wasn't super big a deal before. I just don't super care for the matching card game with Shiki to get the super attack (forget what it's actually called). Sorta breaks up the gameplay whereas the old system made sense on two screens

Start digging faggot.

They really need an indie section for all this shit

Currently playing Touhou Sky arena. Pretty rad
How is Penny Punching Princess?

It’s pretty fun, i’d recommend waiting for a sale as it’s also a short game

I want to have a custom eshop home page that shows titles from a saved list of publishers so I can filter out the 1700+ shitter titles currently mucking up the shop

FF9 of course

Can someone explain to me why the hell would you pay so much for such a bad version of the game?

>ctrl+f "dragon marked for death"
>1 result
come on guys

Attached: empress switch.jpg (2068x1570, 577K)

When is it out physically?

It was decent at most

march 26th was the last i heard

DxM has swords. It's pretty good in customization as it heavily affects gameplay like AC.

Only Nintendo and indie devs are making games for the switch. The big studios don’t give a fuck about the switch.

Sweet, nice to hear.
But can I Obari pose?

Wow, this did not work at all.

Who gives a shit about EA or Activision?

Has anyone signed up for the tales of vesperia anniversary bundle wait list? when will it be back in stock?

i will admit i do have buyer's remorse but at least i only spent $15

Attached: 1549134715462.png (489x276, 224K)

Does Vesperia actually have frequent crashing issues on Switch or is it just a rare occurance?

Literally no one user. Just like no gives a fuck about Ubisoft, Rockstar Games, CD Project Red, Bethesda etc

I have a very bad habit of starting many games but being unable to finish them because of short attention span.
Right now I have major on-going games at: Bayonetta 2, Donkey Kong Tropical Freeze and Minecraft. Also just started Stardew Valley and Enter the Gungeon. I want to start The Witcher 3 and Crusader Kings 2 on PC but already made myself a rule that I need to finish the Switch games before doing that.
But I just went through today without playing any of them. What the fuck is wrong with me

Attached: 1537785696635.jpg (240x200, 5K)

>but I wish we had just a regular old Tetris game for switch
Homebrew

Mario Maker
Dragon Quest
Astral Chain

their on sale right now. im sure they will get lower down the year but 24 bucks a game isnt bad for the bundle

>Ubisoft
The only Ubisoft game that normies care about is Seige.

>Rockstar
Kinda sucks that the Switch can't handle RDR2, but a GTA Anthology Collection for all the consoles would be cool. I wouldn't mind GTA5 without GTO, but that would never happen.

>CDPR
Isn't GOG hitting rockbottom? They're only known for one game.

>Bethesda
They already ported Skyrim, and DOOM is good enough.

I had to sell my release day switch to pay some emergency medical bills :( my new one is one of the more recent models that can't be homebrewed

Americans, everyone.
And I say this not because your healthcare is private, but rather for the lack of financial education

Attached: 1525988891303.jpg (540x732, 74K)

>but already made myself a rule that I need to finish the Switch games before doing that.
That's a start user.
Pick either Bayonetta or Tropical Freeze, TF is probably a shorter game so I'd go with that. Gungeon is a game you can just do a run of here and there, so you can keep that up alongside a main game. Minecraft and Stardew are both games you can play as much as you want of really, so don't feel bad playing them alongside a game you're more trying to beat, but perhaps focus on one of them.
That way you'd have a game your main goal is to beat, a more chill game, and a game you can play in short bursts.
Really though, just don't worry too much about it as long as you're having fun, but I do sympathise with not wanting to play so many games at once.

Because the design talent doesn’t get retained at the big studios. They’re just a farm for artists and marketing experts. Make your game pretty, make your game feature the trending mechanic(s), boom AAA best seller.

Our only hope for actual fun, well designed games is sifting through indie shit and a handful of Nintendo titles each year

While it's easy to jump to assumptions, I manage my money very well, but it got to a point of running out of my 10k+ savings to pay for surgery, then selling my switch to pay for pain medication. Let's try to keep this comfy and wholesome as the thread subject originally called for, please.

I just want themes. The home screen feels so empty without a little jingle playing.

Have they confirmed DOAX3 isn't getting a legit localized release again? I know I can just get the jap version but there's gravure idol shovelware and VNs in the eshop so I figured it stood a chance.

I bought pink and green shells from aliexpress, assembling them either tomorrow or on the weekend. They look and feel 100% legit.

im feelin the funk

As someone who has never played a final fantasy game, is ix on the switch worth it? I plan on getting VII in a month. I have a long plane ride this weekend

Can't you do marathon tetris in puyo puyo tetris?

>drought
ugh

>had switch since last april
>had 3 games but never had time to play em
>ended up hacking my switch in december around christmas
>sold all my gayms and started playan backups
>now have a backlog of some 20+ gayms
>told myself id play through atleast half of them one after another
>thus far finished bing bing oddysey, twewy, bayo2 and unlocked every fighter in smash but fuck doing anything else in that game
>get to botw and its slow and long as fuck

debating whether or not to just put it down for a bit and play some other games. wanted to play dong freeze, no more heroes, octopath and finish my obligatory play through of pokemon lgbt so i can take my time in xbc and xbc2 but i can already tell botw is a fuckin commitment on par with the xbcs. fuck why couldnt it just be a straightforward game like previous zeldas. doesnt help that i also wanted to play starlink after im done with everything else and some more gayms are gonna roll out this year like (i think) astral link yoshi ac etc. Then bayo3 and metroid 4 presumably next year.

I shouldve hacked my switch last year and played since then. Id probably be done with most if not all of this shit by now

Attached: 1540398861878.jpg (432x625, 42K)

tfw when flight of the bumble bee starts playing

Attached: 1483762784825.gif (300x169, 2M)

I use my 8bitdo for platformer or simpler gayms
Dualshock 4 with 8bitdo dongle for shit like monhun
Joycons with charging grip for what i consider to be "simpler" games that dont require me to have trigger fingers

im debating getting some fisher price red and blue joy cons for use with muh friends and a switch pro. tell me why i should or shouldnt

Attached: 3738383.jpg (224x224, 9K)

I have £9 to spend what is a good game to get that will give me tons of fun gameplay, or should i save and get a mainstream game like xenoblade or octopath etc instead. I was thinking of getting undertale for £9

hyped for Civ 6 lads. It shipped today.

How's the 8bitdo for shit like Smash? Does it work for Joycon only games like Mario Party or does the Switch treat it as a pro controller?

Try out Double Cross

Attached: DoubleCross.png (750x422, 393K)

the switch treats it like a switch pro so no bing bing party

for smash its...well the issue is the joysticks. they kind of short so getting precision for a game like smash is pretty difficult with an 8bitdo. the reason people get the controller is for platformer games due to its dpad so theres that.

otherwise its pretty good as a small portable controller you can carry around with you and if you just want some casual multiplayer fun in games like smash. some people also say it has input lag but i dont notice it

I’ve recently discovered Dragon: Marked for Death and am having fun with it while I wait for Link’s Awakening. Looking forward to Astral Chain, but this console seems kinda dead..

Digimon Survive, if it actually happen this year
Pokemon gen 8
Silksong
I still believe FE may not be as shit as it looks like.

Funny shit like fifa is on Switch

I'm just looking for a cheaper alternative than buying another pro for friends to use.

Daemon X Machina
Astral Chain
DQ XI
and I'm hopeful for FE. I'm curious to see the amount of customization and I'm a sucker for factions. I'll probably pick it up day 1.

>What's everyone playing on their Switch
Litterally any game I want that isn't online

I hate rouge-likes because they feel pointless, but the gameplay in Dead Cells is fun enough for me to return a lot.

*pushes glasses up on nose*

Heh. Like you could do anything against my Batsukira Spirit Fist..

*rogue-likes
Whose idea was it to make words this way.

Dude, gimme your friend code. I just got this and matchmaking SUCKS. Great game though.

>that isnt online
Thats your issue right there, also dmjoy the inevitable bricking of your switch

Just got Bayo 1/2 bundle to hold me over until Bayo 3.

I thought Bayo 2 was a much better game than 1 but I feel like they made it too easy because in 1 I get my ass handed to me and in 2 I barely died but 3 or 4 times.

this game looks interesting
but im still baffled how the cars' axles and motors don't fucking shatter with the wheels suddenly reversing direction at super-high speed

Attached: file.png (460x215, 199K)

2 has a truckload of problems, if you continue to play on harder difficulties you will spot them much easier. 2 is a fun time for one playthrough and after that I just started to dislike it more and more. I hope Bayo 3 learns from mistakes

Attached: library.jpg (1280x720, 172K)

What issues?

well yeah, but cars are still cars

how is sonic mania

I've been eyeing both Patobox and Mulaka, might get them user, thanks

Do you like old sonic? yes? then is good

Good game, music, levels, and bosses but only worth on sale. I mean you'll get like 3 hours max of gameplay

I'm so tired of talking about it over all these years and no longer have the detailed list explaining the really big shit but this video does a decent job of point out some major shit. If you aren't the type of person that is really trying to achieve major skill in games like this and taking on higher difficulties and going for top marks then none of this is really gonna matter to you.

youtube.com/watch?v=6jIQkohrSvQ

Good game, highly recommend it

Nope nope nope. There was this one time I got two other guys try it with me and it's perfect. I played Corrin and down B with perfect timing, like, no lag at all.
Don't spread lies.

No :( it's only VS in Puyo or Tetris as far as I remember.

I'm gonna have to disagree with you there, user.

Attached: tetris.jpg (1280x720, 182K)

Color Zen and Puyo Tetris have been stuuupid comfy for me lately.

I like the style and concept of PPT, but I can never get really comfy playing puzzle games most of the time.

Hollow Knight, Celeste, Gris, Dead Cells

wish sega and atlus would stop holding out on titles. Would love another Miku mirai game and even old personas on the switch.
Miku wouldn't even have much competition as there's hardly any rhythm games on switch except taiko and indies.

Anyone knows when the Switch version of Slay the Spire's coming out? Last I've heard it was a vague "2019"

Nah it's still just 2019.

>Hollow Knight, Celeste, Gris, Dead Cells

One of these things is not like the other.
is Gris really worth it?

I fell for the fucking nintendo switch meme! This fucking console barely has any great exclusives!!!! Most games on this fucking system are on PC as well and I own a car so I never use the handheld mode. Splatoon 2 is garbage netcode issues, smash is for autism, I've done everything I can in mario, zelda, and xcom but with rabbids. I feel like I got meme'd

I feel like I got memed too. By your post.

do i buy dead cells or monster boy and the cursed kingdom Yea Forums?

Attached: 1543794289461.jpg (750x745, 78K)

Well do you want a more one and done kinda deal, or something you can play a whole tonne?

Why hasn’t Nintendo released any other joy-con colors in a while?
>inb4 knockoffs

>smash is for autism
How can you seriously believe this? Do you not have any friends? It is impossible to not have fun playing smash.

>Do you not have any friends?
Where do you think we are?

Any good JRPGs with physical versions?

How often do the nintento eshop Sales change?

I was on the fence for a while, but once I heard RF4 and 5 were announced, I knew I would get a Switch sooner or later. Just pulled the trigger on one yesterday. Ordered through a less-than-reputable retailer off Rakuten so I'll just be happy if I don't get ripped off.

I'll get BotW first and see where I'll go from there. I stopped myself from replaying TWEWY on the DS because I wouldn't mind playing it on Switch. I know it's a mobile port with issues but is it that bad?

The main day new sales are introduced is thursday, so some sales are taken away on thursday as well. But shit can go on sale whenever.

Vesperia and Dragon Quest Builders are the two I've picked up recently.

I was pretty disappointed with the Daemon ex Machina demo so far, the UI is horrid and I hope they put in options to remove most of it. It seems pretty slow but hopefully it picks up with new missions.

Thanks! I won like $20 on a lotto ticket and I felt like using it on eShop games.

Anyone have a recommendation for a fun tactics game in the same style as FFT/Tactics Ogre? I saw Mercenaries Saga/Wings on the eshop and there's also God Wars but I know nothing about their quality. Disgaea doesn't scratch the itch for me since it's less about strategy and more number grinding. Open to suggestions, and any help is appreciated.

This bait again?

either really but i dont expect to dump more than 20 hours or so into a rouge-like

It seriously was the most distracting thing when I played, I couldn't even pay attention to what was happening because I had to look in 11 different directions to see all my stats. You can't possibly think that a bunch of white all over the screen looks good/is conducive to gameplay

DQXI is coming out soon.
XC2 is a good choice also.

I've been playing Sonic Mania Plus, DQ Builders, and Hyrule Warriors lately. I'm really surprised by how much I like DQ Builders. I'm really looking forward to the sequel now.

Didn't buy DQ Builders even though I've enjoyed the demo just because I knew the sequel would come eventually and it'd be better in every way, so I'm looking forward to that.

no, the game sucks dick. fuck you.

Playing Sphinx and the Cursed Mummy rn, it's preety good, half the game you play as Sphinx who mostly platforms and fights and the other half you play as the Mummy who most deals with puzzles and such. Kinda wish I could play as the Mummy when I want to, he's more fun to play as. In my opinion Sphinx is to smug 24/7, like seriously all these nice animations on everyone but sphinx has perpetual DreamWorks face.

I bought Devil Engine, Captain Toad, Steins;Gate Elite and I'm also playing Tetris 99.
Sort of cycling through these games, though Devil Engine is obviously hard as shit and it's my first shmup, too.

I'm sort of having trouble understanding some of its mechanics, like I really enjoy the burst mechanic because I treat it as a reason to remove dead air,
making me absorb as many bullets as possible, but the end score after every level gives me 0 points regardless how much I use it. Am I supposed to avoid using it??
Would be a shame because I thought it made the game very fun and if anything just got more effort out of me.

I've been juggling Stardew Valley, Smash and FFIX lately. I'm looking forward to FFVII next month.

Where's Grandia?

I'm still waiting.

They said winter, but I'm starting to doubt that now with a little less than a month of winter left.

Is Phantasy Star still on sale!? I've been at work and can't check - if it is I'm totally picking it up.

I checked about an hour ago and it wasn't, but it could be a region-based thing.

Crie.

It was on sale the beginning of this month but I was too much of a coward to pick it up.
