Which one of these fuckers should I buy?

The one that's not an 8bitdo

None

The Saturn looking one looks sexy as fuck, though 6 face buttons was always a terrible idea.

I disagree regarding hori commanders

>though 6 face buttons was always a terrible idea.
That's the only way to do fighting games.
Anyone who thinks putting heavies on the fucking shoulder buttons is good needs to be immediately killed.

Why? I thought these were supposed to be the best option if you want a real D-pad on Switch.

Thoughts on the retro bit Saturn controllers?

I don't know anyone with one that hasn't had problems with the firmware and/or the drivers

New pro controllers have good d-pads.
Anyone who says they're still bad probably bought one that had been sitting in a Walmart glass case since launch.

I got a pro controller a couple months ago and yeah, it's pretty good. I'm just looking for a second controller (in case I ever make a friend) and want something a little smaller. I also grew up the the SNES, but just really like some of those other styles and color schemes. I still want the joy sticks, motion control, and rumble (I never really cared about rumble until Switch, and I know this doesn't have the smart rumble, but I'd still miss it), so I'll probably just end up getting the SN30 Pro unless anyone has a better suggestion.

I have the sn30 pro and I'm loving it the right stick got stuck sometimes but after I broke it in I've had no problems. I also vastly prefer these sticks over the dualshock 4 they're incredibly grippy
Battery lasts forever as well and the zr and zl triggers are comfy
I've heard people say its uncomfortable to hold but as long as you don't grip it like a tard you should be fine

This one when the release it

Thanks, user. I honestly don't like how non-grippy the pro controller is. Is the SF version basically the same? It's the same price on Amazon and I kind of like the colors as long as it feels like the SNES controller.

buy a dualshock 3

I have 2 and the joysticks got so gummed up after a year that they would stick in a few different directions. Pretty gross.

I've never used a pro controller but these are probably my favorite sticks on the market right now I like them even more than the xbone's and the sn30 has that same snes controller texture to it

red one

Why don't I just draw some buttons on a log of shit and play with that?

either the GB themed controllers, or retrobit's sega controllers.

>not suggesting the chad no distracting vibration sixaxis

Plebs

Disregarding any kind of compatibility issues in terms of xinput/dinput or whatever works on whatever console, the only ones objectively worth getting are the top right 6 face button one for multibutton games/6 button fighting games, and any of the button row SNES ripoffs for typical retro gaming.

The square NES ripoff controller is murder on the hands, and the sticks on all the others are literally worthless for any kind of precision gaming due to their cramped position and general build quality.

>top right
Did you mean top left?

>no handles on any of them
Why do retro retards insist on making controllers in an objectively inferior shell just because it tickles their autistic nostalgia? We've known for over a decade now that controllers feel more comfortable with grips, there's no reason to make plastic disc shaped controllers in 2019.

Ring finger divet is pretty comfy

If you're just looking for something with a good D-pad to play on your PC then this is good

Attached: ibuffalo.jpg (1000x1000, 46K)

not that user, but I had the sf30 pro. the sticks are a strong silicone grip which is a double-edged sword imho. Play games on switch and its fine, but the moment you load up arcade roms on your PC and play street fighter you'll shred it.

but that hasnt stopped me from loving it. I personally love the L2/R/2 buttons. they're grooved to the shape of your fingers behind the L/R which are, imo, stronger that OEM nintendo snes/sfc L/R (which I own as well). What i mean is they're more springy and clickable and not flat and mushy.

thanks to the battery it also has a nice weight in your hands.

Yes I did sorry for being retarded.

Nostalgia is definitely a part of it, but the SNES controller is also just comfy if you're used to it. I have an SNES Classic and still really like the controllers (aside from the short cables). The Switch is also great for playing in bed, so something small and lighter than just using the joycons would be great.

Shit. Now I feel like I have to actually leave the house and find somewhere that I can actually try out each one. (Though I'm not used to the Xbox shape of the Pro controller and am kind of still getting used to that, as big of an upgrade it is from the joycons.)

The fact that it's compatible between platforms is a huge plus. I still can't believe that I bought a Steam controller. I also only have a laptop (which can play anything but current gen AAA games), but don't even have a desk right now, so need a controller to play pretty much anything.

First column, second row.

>in case I ever make a friend
You have more hope than previously expected good on you

No matter what you do get one of the versions that has the left and right trigger behind the left and right button and not next to it. If the buttons are next to eachother it's reall awkward to press the right one at times.

Well that pretty much narrows it down to the SN30 Pro. I guess my only other question is if pic related with the classic color scheme is an older model, as it isn't on the 8BitDo website. They're all around $45 on Amazon, but if the newer models have been updated I'd rather just buy one of those - unless there's a better place to get one than Amazon.

>these sold out on amazon within an hour

what in the literal fuck?

This one.

Just pirate it

Hmm I have no clue. Could it be a regional thing?

Get a snes classic controller and use it with 8bitdos gbros adapter

Shit, almost went for this for half the price (already have snes classic) until I read "2 AA batteries".

>Order SN30 pro
>Wait endlessly until it comes from china
>Finally arrives at my country
>No new updates in the last 4 days, just says arrived at destination country, processing to deliver
Deliver my shit now, you faggots

Alright, so I guess the only question is between the Pro G or the Pro Sn (red or blue buttons, and the d pad looks different).
