Reggie was replaced by a guy literally named Bowser who's first image of himself at Nintendo was with 2 plumber plushies in the background tried up, who constantly posts twitters of his Bowser plushie visiting new places, who wears Super Mario themed home knitted ugly christmas sweaters and that has a full Bowser costume for halloween.

I do not see it likely in any way shape or form that Nintendo will suddenly get less fun with this guy at the wheels.
