Battery of my Pokemon Silver cartridge with a completed Pokedex died
i know this feel
i mean, OP is still a huge retrofaggot
but i do know that feel
that's a bad feel user
Well it was completed so no reason to play any more? Imagine if it died at like 3 before completion.
>battery
>in a gameboy game
wat

The save battery, zoomer.
this, pop in a fresh battery and do it again.
It happened to me with a GBA game and months later all the saves were there again. How does that work?
>battery in a cartridge
what?
yes, they have batteries
You must be 18 years or older to use this website.
virtual boy advanced never runs out of power user.
well unless power itself fails, then we is fucked
When you pop a game boy cartridge in, the cartridge borrows power from the device and stores it in it's battery so it can play.
Would it be possible to open the cartridge and replace the battery if it's a button cell?
Not only possible, but encouraged.
You could also go full autismo like me and solder a flash mem on it to eliminate the problem.
that's fuckin news to me. now it makes sense why a bunch of my old cartridges just do nothing.
This, there is literally no reason to be mad since it was actually completed. If one Pokemon was missing it would be a reason to get mad.
lol this has to be a new low
>having to replace the battery on your games
the absolute state of boomers
BASED ZOOMERS
pokemon silver came out nearly 20 years ago you old faggot
That is correct zoomer. However, you didn't come out of your mom nearly 18 years ago.
ZOOMING DOWN THE STREET, BLASTING THE FORTNITE RAPPPP
born jan 17th 1999 so 20 years ago.
>Not keeping save backups
Your own fault. You can do it with a N64 flashcart and tranfer pak these days.
GBA games don't use batteries to save, they tend to use them for features like internal clocks
Exactly. Zoomer.
Fuck it I'm curious, what was your first vidya game?
It's not hard to replace them
