Let It Die, like most free to play games, likes to make things annoying for you until you eventually break and open your wallet, that's the whole design. Do you think the whole "start leveling a character from scratch every five levels or else everything is impossible to kill (while also dealing with players phantoms that are really overleveled compared to you)" mechanic was added because it's fun?
The aesthetic of the game is really good and the gameplay is... serviceable, but later on the game just throws stuff at you that you can't deal with unless you hit up that grind
And god forbid you lose two or more characters in a row or have your base invaded over and over, cause that will definitely add to the frustration
