The combo is self made, as the game progresses, you can assign moves to each button. The game starts with every button having the same combo, but as you get more moves, you can customize then anyway you want, changing the buttons so you can have different combos.
In the bottom of the pic, for example. If I press just triangle, I will to the triangle combo ""punch, divekick, powerorb", but if I press Triangle, then X, and then circle, then I would do a "punch, slice dash, senpuu kyaku". Since every move links better with the other, and every move have an element type that is better against each type of monster, you should always vary your combo. If a monster is weak against wind type atacks, and "spinning kick, diving kick, and berserker barrage" are wind type atacks, the your combo should be "X, triangle, circle".

Abyss is worth checking out. Xillia 2 as well. Graces F is probably the most fun implementation of the bastardized CC system used in that game, Zestiria and Berseria, but everything else about that game is fucking awful. Zestiria is a dumpster fire. Berseria has a literal button-mashing system with very little thought, but the characters are nice I guess.
You can go back and experience the best classic Tales game, Eternia, or go full weeb and play Destiny PS2, Destiny 2, and Rebirth, which IMO are the best games.
This, seriously. I like other characters, but I am unable to take seriously people that like Velvet because they are shameless waifufags as this thread illustrates, and because her character and backstory is predicated on some ill-conceived emotional bullshit. Imagine if Vahn killed Luke's imaginary little brother or something, and the little brother dies as soon as you escape the manor. That's Velvet in a nutshell, and then she goes full edge.

Abyss, absolutelly. Berseria is pretty nice as well. Anything else is OK-tier, with the few let downs like Zestiria that is unironically BORING. That's it's biggest mistake, not "muh waifu that was supposed to be in the game", or the shitty port. The combat is nice, the exploration as well, but the plot is so meh, that finishing it feels like a chore.
Don't take people seriously when they complain about Legendia, Legendia is a very fun and light hearted game, and because it doesn't take itself that seriously the "no fun allowed" people got mad about it.
