MP management hasn't seriously been a thing since ARR. Why would they, it's not necessary. Au Ra change was necessary, Viera and Hrothgar work perfectly with existing code even if they're genderlocked. It just checks for a parameter, parameter isn't there so the male Viera/female Hrothgar never shows up anyway.

Female gendered pronoun "ma" changes to the male gendered pronoun "mon" when followed by a noun that starts with a vowel.
So for Au Ra they had to remove the check for female pc paramter and make "mon" default.

Yoshi on stage during fanfest 2 said he wanted to give each tank more of a unique gimmick and divide them into OT/MT. I wouldn't be surprised if they buffed the damage of WAR and GUN while in damage stance, but made them take 20% more damage while in them. And for PLD and DRK they heavily reduce the damage penalty while in tank stance to encourage them to keep them on.
