I just want to use it on my Switch. Why couldn't they make it compatible?

Money.

I miss the fucking battery life this thing had compared to the switch controller.

It doesn't have gyro, right?

Is this layout better than the switch controller?

What makes it better than the Switch Pro Controller?

you can get an adapter for that

it works with an adapter

grab the magic ns adapter. I use it and its great.

The switch pro controller still has a massive 40 hour lifespan which is pretty damn good

dpad and battery life.

The Switch Pro Controller still has a 40 hour battery life. It's nothing to sneeze at.

Had to buy an USB device to use it in my computer but it is so worth it

Switch Pro is still ~40 hours, Far more than most other controllers.

No gyro or NFC support, which are the two factors that push the Switch Pro up to $70.

Given that they had to UPDATE the Switch to support the GCN controller adapter, I don't think it would have been a problem to do the same with the Wii U ones.

D-pad
Battery life
Cheaper

I don't know if the d-pad issue is fixed with new pro controller models, so perhaps the wii u one already lost that advantage.

Try the NS-Magic Adapter (Amazon), works great for me, it seems it doesn't support rumble but I did not updated the thing since forever.

why would anyone want NFC support anyway? amiibos are one-off things, and the Joycons already do that shit.

I use them all the time when I play splatoon to quickly switch between outfits, weapons and species.

GCN only works on an extremely limited number of titles. They pretty much only did it to appease Melee fans.

8bitdo has an adapter which lets you use almost anything mainstream on the switch, I've tested with my ds4 and wii u pr, xbone controller should also work.

It doubles as a pc bluetooth adapter for above mentioned controllers and switch pro, but don't recommend, has slight delay on PC.

I am pretty sure that it is. Now at the very least, though not at launch.
I would test and confirm for you if I was able to, but currently I can not.

But I mean gamecube controllers and all kinds of stuff works natively with the Switch.

Are you going to say 40 hours isn't crazy long for a controller?

i just got an 8bitdo adaptor and use a dualshock 4

does ds4 have gyro? i remember it used that what ever the fuck sixaxis shit. if not then im gonna need a list of games to avoid playing with my ds4. i mainly got the 8bitdo adaptor so i can claw in monhun. otherwise my ds4 was a pc controller

My man, ds4 is godly for monhan, I should use it on mhgu too once i get bothered.

I feel like a multiadapter like that would have loads of input lag.

What dpad issue? My dpad works fine
