Came here to post this. Not even joking when I say that DF has the most advanced combat mechanics when it comes to damage. Skin, muscles, ligaments, organs, bones, everything is there and the damage or outright removal to one part affects the rest in the appropriate way.

Meanwhile, shooting someone in the toe kills them in every other game on the market. All other games are literally 40 years behind when it comes down to this.

The game doesn’t exist.

You can do autism shit like pumping magma, but this takes niggerload of time because you need to repeat same combination of keypresses literally 100 times to get it from magma sea to the surface.
100 z-levels of pumping, with only one easy engineering problem to solve, rest is just repetition.
