It seems to me that Microsoft has been wanting to get out of hardware and go strictly to development and publishing. Looks to me that Nintendo is their path to that. Push their games (and maybe 3rd party accessories) to Nintendo and PC. Xbox is only really big in US. Not huge in EU, and is shit in Japan.

Xbox users have nothing to look forward to in the future that benefits them. Everything Microsoft does favors Nintendo over their own user base. You cannot make this shit up.

As long as their games continued on PC and Switch, and they continued making stuff like controller, it seems like a good idea to me.
Microsoft has always competed with itself. Going full-in on computers seems better than holding onto the home console market.
