What the hell are you talking about? once you get disc that contains a specific monster, you will still get that monster using that disc.

Still remember from the first monster hunter that U2 how to disarm an atomic bomb gives you a plant. Found some that gave golems and nagas, those disks went into a special pile.

Actually, it would be the same thing. Screenshots, videos, musicfiles, QRs, as long as it is something that can have infinite variations, it could work in this scenario.
However, in these modern times, Monster rancher would work best as a mobage.
