I hated MGR for a variety of reasons going into it, but I at least enjoyed Ground Zeroes and elements of V. MGSV threads especially, pre and post-release, were a lot better than Rising threads.
I think Rising is being overstated here, and the "fanbase's" obsession with it is more obsession with one-hit wonders Platinum than anything.
That and Armstrong, I guess, even though he's a wholly unoriginal character, even for the franchise. He's Solidus & The Patriots rolled into one and the entire plot is a thematic retread. MGR was one of the laziest games I've played, and I'm unwilling to entirely attribute that to budget.

Peace Walker wasnt so bad. It's just, it was 10 hours of so-so game, and then 6 hours of optional dialogues that was actually about game, heroes, about SNAKE YOU'RE SO CHE GUEVARA, and about BOSS WAS SO SUPERHERO UBERHUMAN

This fight was the best part of the game.

I think the best part of Peacewalker was the selection of real world guns.

well this was good fight, better than singing robots, tank, helicopter. Peace Walker battle was not so bad too, but one can easily run out of ammo because of hp sponge robot
