How's this game? Is it a good entry point to the series?

Best theme
If you started with 0, the only bad thing would be that it makes the some of theolder games in the series seem shittier in comparison
best game in the series, and best place to start
I honestly think its perfect from combat to story. Kiwami 1 (pc port) is terrible from graphics to gameplay feels like downgrade rather than upgrade.
Perfect to start the series.
The bait couldn't be more blatant to attract fights between old fans and new fans. With that being said, Just choose between 0, 1 or Kiwami. I don't really care which, they're all pretty good.
Only one worth playing
WHO THE FUCK IS THE GUY IN THE MIDDLE??????
Lao Gui had a chinese actor play him in the chinese version of the game
nice
A great game and a great place to start the series.
It's the best game I've played in a long time
this is wrong
youtube.com
>entry point
every game in this series is *exactly* the same
Kino
Got bored halfway through it, the minigames fucking suck uhhhh it's bad.
You're both wrong:
youtube.com
>the way kiryu fans himself with cash at the end of the battle
I'll give you that because I was just thinking of it.
but what about this?
youtube.com
100%ing this game is a fucking chore holy shit
take your time or you'll burn out
Kiwami's great, but I didn't get the 0 feeling until Kiwami 2
>can't finish the club or real estate stories because i went too far into the main quests
You're very brave. I had a look at all the stuff you had to do and just went "pfft, fuck that".
Still love the game though.
You're never too far into the story. Before the final quest you can go back and finish all the side content.
I'm at 80 something. It's just the time consuming stuff left, like throwing x money, take taxies, beat x guys in y style and so on. That said I'll probably kill myself when I only have "Get 5m score" in those old Sega games. Best I've managed is 2.6m
0 is so good it makes my peepee hard
kiwami was a lot worse but still enjoyable
also a lot of plot points in kiwami are made way better by having played 0 before so it's a great place to start
the nishiki fight and his whole sub plot was amazing with the back story added in 0
how the fuck do i get 5mil in outrun
>2.6m
I got the 5m achievement randomly
Super hang on is really fun, best 2d racing game I played
SUNAO NI I LOVE YOU
This is my first Yakuza game and I'm completely and utterly in love with it.
Shit is really starting to heat up, they just fucking killed Tachibana and I had the 3rd Kuze boss fight. How far into the main story am I? Feels like the endgame is about to start.
nearing the end
if you want to do some sidequests now is the time
I'd love to put more time into the Sunshine club, only got as far as the 1st club duel. Can I also do that in the postgame? I've heard that there's this "Adventure Plus(?)" mode which is essentially freeroam / cleanup after the main story?
Because I'm fucking hooked and want to see how it ends, I don't think I can stomach 10+ hours of the club minigame right now.
You can but doing the minigame club+estate shit unlocks a new fighting style for kiryu and majima and this isn't gonna be very useful in the post game
>Because I'm fucking hooked and want to see how it ends, I don't think I can stomach 10+ hours of the club minigame right now
I felt exactly the same way and regreted doing the final fights without the 4th styles. Just saying.
0 was the first Yakuza I played, and I just beat Kiwami after it came to PC
Kiwami has far less content, and for some reason even less minigames than 0
I understand that the story can't be expanded from 1 to Kiwami because it's already an existing entity, but why did they nerf the minigames too?
Kiwami came out after 0, no? Why does Kiwami not have the dancing minigame? Or any of arcade machines? They just repurposed the wrestling into the bug game and that's the only thing you can do in the arcade (other than ufo catcher and taking pictures)
best ost
youtube.com
It's a baaaad game don't listen to Yea Forums
It has so many flaws, combat system is garbage, loading screen everywhere
Ost is good tho and the story too i guess but damn it's such a pain in the ass to play this game that i never finished it
these anons tell the truth.
It's easily the best game in the series and also the beginning of the series.
TODOKEYOU KITTO YOU LOVE ME!

>tfw kiryu will never be in tekken
unironically a banger
spent way too much time doing make over and i do not regret it
Maybe you're just a fucking pleb.
>tfw the trophies i am missing are the gambling ones
Never had the patience to learn them
Left route, you should get it around the end of the desert one. Also, memorizing the path and how the cars appear because the cars will appear the same way if you go always around the same timing . You should change gears, or at the very least let go the accelator a little bit instead of braking hard.
It was a first try to see if remakes would work. For some reason K2 fixed the problem because they knew it worked and they were bashed for the lacking of mini games in K1
The dancing mini game is a unique thing for Zero, like the phone one. Yakuza games usually have unique mini games like that and "reuse" things like golf, baseball, pool, karaoke
the full version is so good
youtube.com
>the buildup
>the speech
>the drop and kuze's title card
>loading screen everywhere
What?
I have a mid tier PC and I have literally unnoticeable loading times.
I presume it's similar on the PS4.
Is 0 really that much better?
I'm really enjoying Kiwami at the moment.
I started with Kiwami. Do I go Kiwami 2 or 0 now?
i only played 0 and kiwami (pcfag) so i don't have the other games as reference but to me it's significantly worse
even if you ignore all the recycled content from 0 and judge them on their own the writing is much worse, both for the main story and the substories
the minigame selection is pretty bad too, and there's a lot less content in general
i still enjoyed it but coming from 0 especially there's a lot of shortcomings
get 0 while waiting for kiwami 2 port
is right. Zero is much more fun imo in every aspect. the story is better , the bosses aren't cheap and the ost is a banger
TSUTAWARU SA
Finally got around to playing all the Yakuza games and my official consensus is this:
>0 is great
>1 and 2 are good
>3, 4, and 5 are ok
>6 is boring
kiwami english intro is so bad compared 0, practically never skipped it.
youtube.com
Haven't finished Kiwami yet but this is what i'm feeling. Some of the bosses are just unfun Rush style only fights. Only thing I have to do left is kick the shit out of Majima a good 30 times to max out Dragon.
I beat Kiwami without ever figuring out how to use dragon.
>3, 5 and 5 in the same tier
I mean, the first boss you encounter in Kiwami is literally rehashed mr. Shakedown.
It is, apart from being an obvious rehash of Y0's assets, overall noticeably weaker in pretty much every department be it writing, amount of content or polish, but isn't really a bad game per se.
It's still worth it to go through
>"Get 5m score" in those old Sega games
I thought those would be hard, but apart from Fantasy Zone it was pretty fast. The gambling minigames are what made me want to kill myself.
Didn't Kiwami come out before 0?
Play 0 and you will see
0 will have cameos of characters that are seen in future games, but you can still play it regardless.
K2 plays in a new engine, so if you are open minded you can play K2 first and 0 after which plays like Kiwami.
You had to unlock skills through Majima and Komaki&Coliseum
nope
obviously yakuza 1 came before 0 but not kiwami
This game is based
I prefered the fighting styles in 0 over Kiwami
I mean the dragon moves I unlocked, I never got any use out of them. Shit seemed weak in comparison to the other styles.
Best game I played in the recent years.
Kiwami is worse because at its core it's still a 2005 game and there's nothing they could've done about it, since the story spans for four more games after it.
Yes
If you are saying that you didnt unlocked Tiger FUCKING Drop
Some of the dialogue is this game is pure unadulterated autism and that's a good thing
No, play the series in release order you retard. Start with the PS2 games.
Y0 assumes you have prior knowledge of the characters like any fucking prequel does.
lol
yeah and having played 0 before makes a ton of stuff from kiwami much better
that's more important than understanding the reference when you see a future character
The story is pretty self enclosed, besides, it's the origin story for many of the characters you'll see in 1/Kiwami, you'll miss a few references at worst
>Start with the PS2 games
Why when he can start with 0 and Kiwami, also Kiwami is full of references to things you do in 0 so imo it makes sense to start there.
Try buying a better PC?
Even with my toaster the loading screens take less than 5 seconds to load.
I liked the ending in 6
How about youtube.com
I wish it wasn't wasted on standard minion fights. It's a fucking killer track.
>mfw pc version of Kiwami has autosaves, finally
How do you even go back to Y0/consoles after this?
Is it possible to max Majima everywhere in chapter 4? Can you get tiger drop counter in chapter 4?
Once you get to a certain rank he goes to "rest" so no.
He goes to rest around chapter 6
Ok thanks.
>Only Mahjong and Legend playthrough over for Zero
>Find out I can't go NG+ for Legend
So uhm have I wasted my time royaly? Do I have to grind atleast half of the shit again to buff up my dudes or can I just spam items? Even then money would be an issue.
just play the entire game in 1 sitting without saving. Fucking casual can't handle a 30 hour playthrough of Y5
Tried to start with Zero. Got bored of the repetitive side quests of endless text expositions.
Turns out I don't like slice of life sims.
Just bring a stack of healing items and you'll be fine. Their cost is negligible.
Jesus, took long enough for him to realise
I honestly wonder how did those who started with 0 as first react to REAL MAJIMA that is shown in kiwami and original Yakuza game prior 0?
>I honestly wonder how did those who started with 0 as first react to REAL MAJIMA
>Top 10 Anime Betrayals
Is how.
I started with 0 but crazy Majima was spoiled when I learned about majima everywhere. I like that crazy Joker. Wish he would stop showing when you max him out though.
How would you react if your favorite protagonist that you went through so much with turned himself into bugs bunny x coyote hybrid?
>How would you react if your favorite protagonist that you went through so much with turned himself into Nishitani
I'd be pretty happy
DAME DA NE
DAME YO
DAME NA NO YO
Yakuza 0 is the only game to make me cry
it's pretty good
Tbh, I was more upset that he changed his ponytail for Hitler haircut than that his character had sex with Joker.
would they ever port the fist of the north star game on pc
You mean the Chinese didn't like the Frankenstein one from the international version?
It's a masterpiece
It runs on the same engine as the 0 and Kiwami (i think) so probs
So don't do it shithead
>Coliseum in kiwami
I honestly can't remember how it was in Zero but this is pretty much the most frustrated I've ever was with this series so far.
>90% grab/hit evasion
>hyper armor
>several layers of HP
>50% of Kiryu's HP gone in one combo
>you don't get healed after the third fight
>have to grind for later gauntlets for literally no reason at all
>some high pitched fucking noise in the lobby further pissing you the fuck off
This shit is fucking cheap.
Disappointed.
I wanted to gameplay from Majima's perspective in which we stalk and come up with plans how to harass Kiryu-chan.
>being that pussy who gives up because something takes long
Sasuge, Yea Forums
Items are enough. The only problem with Legend is the Virtua Cop section
Just leave the original cleared savefile alone for premium
>tfw started with 0 and it was amazing
>Kiwami wasn't as good
>Kiwami 2 was great but not as good as 0
>I know that the rest of the series doesn't hold a candle to 0, still excited for the remasters FUCKING WHEN
7 better be next level amazing
You can only max Majima Everywhere after chapter 11. If you get him to the highest rank at that point (I think it was C before chapter 6 and A before chapter 11) he'll just be perfmanently resting. You can get Tiger Drop before Majima gets tired but you have to make sure you ignore him on your way to chapter 5.
>being that autist who gets off to meaningless skinnerbox-esque box ticking
I bet you play cookie clicker too
>Mark Hamill voiced dubbed Majima
>7
There will be no 7, series officially ended with 6.
Unless you mean Judgment.
>He says, in a yakuza thread of all series
Maybe you shouldn't be in this thread
You can do it in premium adventure
7/shin is already confirmed with ichiban as the protagonist, user
Worst part about me being a fag that started with 0 first was that I absolutely fell in love with Majima's character and I ended up liking him way more than Kiryu, our main protagonist. So, my biggest disappointment was exactly that. That I was just "Kiryu-chan" only now.
Except Yakuza has never been about that and your own autistic associations birthed by the desire to turn everything into a convenient checklist aka a shortcut to your brain's pleasure centers is never going to change that.

GO! Kill this arrogant Mot-her-fuck-her!
I played Fist of the North Star before playing Yakuza 0, which is my first Yakuza game. They play exactly the same, but the driving in FotNS was tedious as fuck. I'm glad there's nothing like that in Yakuza 0 besides the toy car races. I admit I was disappointed in the lack of an English dub, but I understand why there isn't one. I'm enjoying the game.
>the cp stuff? Nah doesn't count!
Classic frogger
5's the only other game with racing but it had a better controlling car than the buggy in FotNS. You had to have so many handling upgrades just to make the dumb buggy decent. Only downside of 5's is the opposing racers all rubberband to you if you get ahead.
>everyone's idol goro
Tiger drop everything
I like crazy Majima. He's fun. So far, the zombie thing was my favorite.
I just beat Kiwami, after having only played 0 from the series.
I enjoyed it, though obviously it's not nearly as good as 0. Majima Everywhere isn't as annoying to me as most people say, but the main problem is how it doesn't fit at all with the story, one minute you're fighting him and leaves with a meme sentence, and then you get a cutscene of him being menacing and Kiryu saying something like I presumed you dead
But holy fuck, my main gripe with this game is the fucking bosses. It's not that they're hard, but they're incredibly tedious and make you chug your entire inventory of Staminan.
>that super armor that everyone seems to have, you can hit them more than twice beforethey counterattack
>you can't break their combos at all, and you can't know if they're using all attacks of the combo so you don't know when to counter
>you can't grab them at all when they're at half their health
>that stupid thing in which they recharge their health like Son Goku and don't flinch at attacks, but you can do a Kiwami move at that precise moment, but not always triggers (seriously, what's the criteria?)
>they can do heat moves against you
>Shimano is fucking Mr Shakedown but instead of infuriating he's just tedious, since he can't one-hit KO you
>the Nishiki minion with the sword at Serena´s back alley, you can't even get near him with the range of his sword
>the Neo from the Matrix wannabe in the rooftop, it's hard to hit him because you can get near him as much as you want, but the very millisecond you punch him, he'll start rollspamming until he gets far enough and shoot you
>Jingu and these two agents, you against three guys WITH GUNS, you can go against any of them but the other two will shoot you
>after you beat both agents, THEY FUCKING RECOVER and bring knives, and Jingu starts throwing grenades
>I absolutely fell in love with Majima's character and I ended up liking him way more than Kiryu
That's popular opinion, whatever or no you started with 0 first.
A real yakuza beats the shit out of little kids at toycar racing.
I fucking love this game. I thought I might get burnt out after playing 0 so recently, but no. The city is so comfy to walk around.
My only gripe is the 80's felt perfect, but Kiwami does NOT feel modern enough. Maybe the real location this is based on also doesn't quite feel 2005?
>What's the criteria
As long as you're in the same stance, none. Usually I stopped them so fast that the attack did more damage than the health they gained.
Majima in 1 and 2 is unfunny and grating
wtf i hate kiryu now
You dont need to do the right kiwami heat, you just need to do a heat action.
Kiwami bosses are meh. Only Jingu is annoying with his guards. The one with the guns you can roll roll and roll and always be on his behind which will make him brainfart for a couple of seconds, he will run away again but roll again and Kiryu will go behind or right next to him
I think you should reread what I said. I said that everyone was team Majima by 0, whatever or no that was their first Yakuza game, everyone was in general Majima fag way more than Kiryu fag.
What's this from?
>Majima Everywhere isn't as annoying to me as most people say
Again, it's because you guys aren't going for the maxed out DoD or going for 100%. You're maybe doing a couple fights and going for the story. It gets incredibly annoying when you've fought him like at least 80 times and you're still not even close to being 100% done with the game so you either have to take time out of your day to zone in and out of loading screens hoping you see him wandering around so you can walk around with a worry, or you bite the bullet and waste a minute Tiger Dropping him for maybe five minutes of peace until you enter a loading screen all over again.
The unique encounters are fine, once youv'e seen them it's nothing but a chore.
project x zone
Wasnt bothered at all because his entire story in 0 was all about how he got to being himself in 1 and onwards. They overdid Majima in Kiwami, but thats Kiwami's fault not Majima as a character really.
Thanks, it's been a while since I've seen it
KANSEI DORIFTO??
Is it ok to start with 6? I found it for sale.
Are you in the mood to spoil multiple games for yourself, especially 5's ending which it shows you verbatim at the start, while not really knowing a single character when they expect you to?
>playing K1 the first time
>go to the burger place and Majima happens
>leave and he is the fucking cone
>go to a store and he fucking is lurking from a window
>fight some random mook and he reappears
4 fucking fights in so short time. Worse part is realizing you need to make him spawn and defeat him a couple of times with him dressed as cinderella man, zombie or some other shit for DoD
I'm only at S rank and it's still bearable
my problems are having to fight specific types of majima and the sensor only working when you aren't in heat mode
I am having trouble letting go of Brawler for DoD. The counter attack is so so so good
>tfw in my country 6 is sold for 69,99
Every other game is cheaper, but that one kek
tiger drop
You can spawn him easily by going inside the burger shop and look around the millennium tower. And the area around the bowling/cinema will spawn a couple of Majimas like Mad Dog
That sounds pretty cruddy. I'll try to start elsewhere and just leave it aside.
I got it for 15 dollars with an art book.
Once you max it you'll realize you've not only got 9999 EXP but still got a bunch of side stuff ahead of you and he's still going to harass you which gains you nothing for the next 20+ hours. Not to mention he'll harass you throughout all of Haruka's requests. I wasn't tired of it until after I hit SSS and I got the three or four missing unique encounters I needed (Like West Park Majima and the alley right next to West Park where he yells at a guy for littering). Then I had to intentionally go out of my way to zone in and out to ignore him and when I'd get tired of that I'd just take the fight and waste the minute just so that I could do minigames, restaurants, Haruka's stuff, etc.
Everbody's Idol tends to spawn at the top-right when he's wandering around but that'll also occasionally be zombie. You can get Officer in the Champion District I think, if you're at Smile Burger the Officer spawns there as well. If you have the event encounter Majima then you can force a Thug encounter when walking on Tenkaichi street and bumping into the wandering guy next to the park, and I know Mad Dog's is the wandering guy right near Taihei Beef Bowl East.
DoD has Tiger Drop, there's no reason you should be using Brawler's counter attack when you have Tiger Drop which
youtu.be
>Those lyrics
speak for yourself faggot, i'd put fucking Tanimura above memejima
>b-but the japanese fanbase
japan also thinks Baba is a top tier character
Just started playing it a few days ago. Not even a huge weaboo, or whatever, but I think it's a pretty enjoyable game. Similar to MGS V, feels like an old SP game. A "complete package".
who is your favorite hostess?
>MGSV
>"complete package"
is this bait?
goromi
This is some bizarre cuckshit
KIRRRRRRRRYU-CHAN!!!!
>Barkeep Majima exposing poser Kiryu

>tfw you'll never have four weird crime uncles to support you passionately
user of taste.
I don't recommend this shit to people because I've had multiple people love it and multiple people hate it and act mad I told them to play it. I really liked it though, I bought it on ps4 and pc.
The story is much better
i only played 0 and 1 and I see a lot of similarities in their plots
>you have to protect a girls that keeps getting kidnapped
>you spend a time in prison
>huge battle of clans in a warf and a boat, Kashiwagu brings beople in trucks
>secret underground facility with illegal fighting tournaments
>car chase
>escape the Tojo HQ
Are all teh games the same?
0 has a lot of callbacks to 1 since it's a 10 year anniversary project
Yakuza 2 (and Kiwami 2) have best story and it's different. Yakuza 3 has you dealing with orphanage and kids so there might be some protecting involved but tone is a lot different. Yakuza 4 story is straight up anime and it's all about gameplay. Haven't played 5 and 6.
some people never liked or played games like River City Ransom and only do the moviegames shit.
Not sure why someone would get mad at you for their shit taste.
I haven't played anything but 0 and Kiwami but pretty sure there's a Millennium Tower section every game but 0 because it wasn't built back then
Majima fucking with Kiryu is always fun.
The entire plot of 0 is focused on the place where millenium tower will be built, so it sort of takes places there.
FUCK KOREA
FUCK THE CHINESE
AND FUCK BURACKU MOONDAY
Which makes The Empty Lot even more insane as a concept. This tiny patch of trash and dirt is literally the cornerstone of the entire franchises most climactic clashes.
eh, if you would cut the game in half and just scrapped the rest, it would be already a lot bigger than most SP games that come out....
btw OP, one thing. when the game lets you roam around and even asks you if you want to proceed.... BUY ITEMS such as health potions at shop.
they cost practically nothing, and it makes the game so much easier. managed to run into the first boss fight without any items. was...not so fun.
>if you would cut the game in half and just scrapped the rest
oh, you mean what literally happened to MGSV?
we need ishin
What would you want in the new Yakuza sequel?
Basically I would want everything like 0 but:
>less OP weapons and their heat actions
>nothing as dull as real estate mini game where you just afk to 100% it
>mahjong and other weeb shit isn't required for 100%
>Legend difficulty available from the start
>different costumes available from the start
>remove escort missions
>ability to save anywhere on PC
You can save everywhere in Kiwami on PC.
I've only played 0 and K1, but
>First person walking
I just want to be a tourist
tried model swapping and nothing is happening, anyone know the file name for kiryu's main outfit?
I know Kiryu isn't MC anymore, but I'd love him to be back just so he can be forced to play Fortnite and stream on Twitch
Yeah I know and I love that. You can modify a file in 0 to save anywhere but it can crash the game and even worse corrupt the save.
That's in Kiwami 2
>>mahjong and other weeb shit isn't required for 100%
casual
well I mean, the game feels complete up until like 50%, then it feels like you are just running through half-made content
>Not sure why someone would get mad at you for their shit taste.
They ran out and bought the game based on my recommendation so they felt like I wasted their money.
I started with 0 and for me this 180 at the end was just fucking retarded. I wish I knew him before to at least expect this stupid shit.
Every minigame should give CP. Mahjong would be okay if they made it only win x hands or make x money though. Took me hours to get a full straight
>DOMO... GOROMI DEEEEESUUU~
I didn't see it as retarded. Majimas been through the ringer multiple times, called the mad dog and yanked around by his leash, lost the woman he loved simply because he knew his life was way to dangerous for her, and still knows he has to face his oath brother in the future to atone for not being there for him. He saw people like Nishitani and Sawara living how they wanted, and you see in the end when he marches on Dojima, he's pretty much thrown aside all that he was to become The Mad Dog of Shimano, and he plans to live on his own whims, and live it up like to other. That's how he becomes the mad man we all know and love.
>old Majima who let everyone use him
Results in the death of the best character who was just a colateral damage of Shimano using Majima like a puppet. Then we get that whole "I'm a clown" scene. For similar reason another important character dies later.
>mad dog Majima
Does whatever he wants, not locked up in the cage anymore, able to help Kiryu-chan survive, keeps his family members on their toes so they are strong and they don't die, has actual fun for the first time in his life.
>beat game
>play premium adventure
>realize there's a parenting simulator when you take Haruka
>buy her stuff to gain her trust
>at some point she starts holding your hand
>can't get myself to run or else I'll leave her behind
>;_;
Plus throughout the game you see aspects of the Mad Dog peeking through. Like how Majima hates being a straight face business man, he has basically left himself with just a table in his apartment, adheres to his rules to an insane degree, such as not hitting a customer, and his fighting styles showing how much he REVELS in battle, shrieking like a demon in glee and acting a fool. The Majima we see in Zero is Majima chained down, punished, beaten and worn out over his imprisonment, the Majima we see later is him free
Only if you save in an area you're not supposed to and that basically just means story-related areas and battles. You can easily save in areas that don't support saving normally (Like the casino) and it won't cause an issue. Basically, you have to save in moments where you clearly shouldn't in order for it to cause major problems.
Don't forget the times he's shown beating his subordinates is when they fuck up.
>Trying to snatch Makoto up to make porn of her
>Attack Kiryu on the streets out of ignorance and egotism
>Taking a situation where he got hurt too seriously to laugh at Majimas foolishness
Even in Kiwami, Majima and his men are never shown hurting innocent people, just attacking Kiryu and fucking up a business. The only innocent they ever endangered was Haruka and that one soapland girl, but they were never put in real danger.
WHAT
SHIT I GOTTA GET ON THAT
it's the only good game in the entire series, don't liste to retard boomers who praise anything before 6
HAYAI YO
Arguably Majima is always putting people in danger when he attacks Kiryu on the street, because Kiryu keeps picking up bikes and shit to throw them around while schoolgirls and geezers are around them, cheering. Even if you fight right next to the onlookers, they never run away, they just flinch a bit.
Kiryu and Majima are seasoned fighters I doubt there's any collateral risk when they fight. Hell even in Kiwami 2 the civies are in even more imminent danger and they just crouch and hide their heads if the fighting gets too close.
The other day I literally took one of those huge elictrical box things from the street and electrified Majima with. You can't tell me people weren't affected by that.
Nah, Todd would be Omi Alliance
>Force Addiction instantly plays in my head
OJISAN
PLEASE WIN 20k TOKENS IN POKER
>caught myself singing along to the song
Did those japs give me the gay?
as someone who never played yakuza when I beat 0, I would say they did his arc perfectly in a single game. By the end I understood why he just said "fuck it" and went his own way.
They were effected, they got super hype seeing literal monsters brawling in the streets
Yea Forums ... I sing for you.
youtube.com
just the right amount
>i sing for you not included in the video
blasphemy
Didn't mean to quote
Kuze theme doesn't feel right without sounds of punching and men screaming.
It's funny how later games no one knows who the hell Kiryu is if they aren't important. How, in the 21st century, is his face not all over the web, when he lifts a motorcycle and smashes it into a man's face. Or the fact he gets into full on street wars with entire gangs, by himself.
KIRYUUUUUU!!!
I'm playing the original Yakuza 2.
I'm on chapter 10, but walking like a snail without dash is killing it for me.
And every fucking chapter there is some shitty mandatory side stuff like play mahjong, finding Kaori or other things to mess the pacing.
The story is nothing special. I don't know on what drugs nostlgiafags are.
I'm thinking of dropping it and waiting on the remake.
Yakuza 4 was my first Yakuza game and i'm definitely not a fan of the original two with their shit camera, snail movement and sub-par side content.
Felt strange hearing this when I played Y0 right after Sleeping Dogs
>Starting with the 4th game
>Playing the old games when the remakes are out
What the fuck are you doing.
Kiwami 2 exists user.
youtu.be
>best theme in the whole series
>is wasted on the shittiest boss in the series
KUZEEEEEEEEE!!!
oh shit you play as majima too in k2?
now i'm even more hype for it
Are you feeling it now mr krabs
what ever happened to Kuze? i started with 0 then played kiwami and noticed Kuze was nowhere to be seen
only for like 20 mins and its a separate mode
its only good for one scene where he meets makoto
Of course. I don't know about the original, but the fan reaction after the first Yakuza game is what cause Majima to come back as more than just a random mook, which he was in the original. Players loved him so much they brought him back, and Kiwami 2 has segments with him playable, so I imagine they mist have added more if it wasn't originally there.
0 is a prequel
the dojima lieutenants didnt exist in the other games
dojima himself was just a throwaway character who didnt even have a line of dialogue
youtube.com
best theme and half the reason i played like 20 hours of this minigame
Did you not pay attention to the end? Kuza and Shibusawa got arrested. They are either rotting in jail for years, or were let out when they're old codgers and retired to quiet lives after the beat down they got
After playing 4 of these games, I may as well try the originals.
I hate remakes on principal and Kiwami is one of the worst ones, glorified Y0 mod. Kamurocho was remade 7 times already, do we need more? Lazy japs.
But nostalgiafags are in the wrong here saying that Yakuza 2 is the best one.
For me Yakuza 5 is the best one with the great virtual tourism and the best side content.
Yakuza 0 had the best story and best hostesses.
Yakuza 4 had pretty good fighter creator and the Tanimura fighting style was different and fun.
The other games are more of the same.

IM READY TO GO TONIGHT
it's a much more complete game than Kiwami, having just finished Kiwami on PC. I can see both points as to where to start either Kiwami or 0, i just think starting at 0 is the best option since it's so much fun. Kiwami is fun too but it feels more like a very large DLC to 0 than an actual full fledged game. Both are excellent and pretty seamless (except the combat). I just hope we get the rest of them in the west. I may even buy a ps4 if 3, 4 and 5 don't get ported to PC.
>Having the Yakuza family
>Not including uncle Majima
>he said while posting the wrong song
youtube.com
isn't that the cast of yakuza 5?
i haven't played it i've only seen the box art
not even close
3 was already remade and is available in Japan, and will likely be ported over sometime soon, so 4 and 5 are after that. After the big popularity rise with Yakuza there's no way the whole mainline series won't be available to the west
My first and only Yakuza game was zero and I'm about to finish the story today after putting in ~50 hrs to end up at around 50% completion. It's been a wild ride, easily one of my favorite games of all time.
I haven't either, I was just talking about the family hanging out singing Get to the Top together. Which was Kiryu, Ryuji, Akiyama, Majima and Haruka
>Die
>Try Again?
>Yes
>Stuck on black screen forever
>want to exit arcade game
>game crashes
>Alt+Tab
>game crashes
I-is there a fix? I was having fun
Maybe my favourite ps4 game.
Had very little interest in the series until recently. Saw it was on sale and bought it on a whim after hearing good things. So glad I did. Great story, great sense of humour, comfy as fuck. Only thing I didn't like was the trophies (PS4); super grindy and don't respect your time at all.
Good work, when you play Kiwami, your experience with Zero will ensure the story hurts you even more
see:
personally, i think the colliseum is close to impossible to win over 50% of the time without spamming tiger drop. if you're doing the colliseum to get the paintings just do it until you get to the GP that allows you to break the walls and then push your opponent out of the ring. it's so easy to win it's kind of a joke once you get the hang of luring them over. you can even throw them down and then just scoot them over edge while their prone.
Maybe substories in Kiwami aren't THAT bad after all...
youtu.be
the disco themes are so fucking good
i'm close to 100% and it always gives me a chuckle to see him pop out randomly. the last few fights have been very difficult though due to his large health bars, but it hasn't been annoying to me yet.
who else here /mahjong/ because of Yakuza? I always thought it was a dumb game for elderly chinks.
dont fall for the titties user
How much money would it take for you to fight Saejima
>For me Yakuza 5 is the best one
Annnnnnd opinion discarded.
>all the Yakuza0 babies posting baby songs
The ost was middle tier outside of some songs. There was Zero 80's feel to them.
Overall per volume, not just 2-3 songs, Yakuza 5 have the best ost.
i'd much rather play them on PC though, knowing Sega we won't know until they're being released. I don't actually mind waiting a year for the next game, but I'd like a head's up
>googles get to the top
>this video shows up
youtube.com
ok so why is dead souls a bad game again
Nothing. It'd be an honor to fight such a beast.
Its okay
>actually wanting to fight saejima
hope you don't mind your spine becoming dust
I enjoy fighting him 95% of the time even when I'm long done with his sidequests. The existence of Tiger Drop never makes him take too long and I like using Rush to infinite combo his back. I would hate taking out so many of his life bars without either of these strategies though
Because it's not all karaoke and fun.
what's wrong with that?
you an enormous faggot or something?
>play 0
>can't into mahjong for shit
>watch akagi a few times and play a bit on Tenhou
>return to orchid palace in Kiwami and clean the place out
>that one autist still spamming after all these years
We get it, the game was too long for you and muh story faggotry.
The tourism was great, 5 cities, japanese mountains, roads, jobs. You have it all. The game is Japan and old Sega in one package.
After 4 games, I'm just sick of Tokyo. So Yakuza 5 is breath of fresh air.
I can't believe they are making the new cop Yakuza game only in Tokyo again. Add another city, you lazy fucks.
It was too obvious but I still went for it.
pretty off topic but can you watch akagi without knowing mahjong
kaiji was really good so i'm interested
Why couldn't every random fight in Kiwami 2 have this as the song?
youtube.com
I would get into so many more fights in Kamurocho if they had this song.
yeah, i went into it with 0 knowledge, i wouldn't say it teaches you how to play but it made me want to learn how
>this outfit
youtu.be
Yes but don't listen to 0fags who claim it's the only good entry in the series. They're just mad their only other game to play is Poowami at the moment and don't like being reminded superior Yakuza games such as 4 exist.
Not that user, but I watched Akagi before knowing mahjong and I just couldn't get into it. I watched Kaiji afterwards and I loved it. Now that I have a basic grip of mahjojng after Kiwami 2, I want to go back and finish Akagi. I feel like I would like it a lot more now.
>Tfw no Haruka porn
Yakuza 5 > Yakuza 0. Franchise Zero babies will never get it.

Good.
Best taste.

4 is probably the second best but theres a significant power gap
4 was also my first yakuza before you reply
>0fag
Theres only one retard who uses that term in these threads so thanks for outing yourself shitposter
Yakuza 5 is the best because babies favorite Memejima is dead in it.
I got sick of it maybe 40 hours in and it took another 20 hours to 100% the game because every single fight is the exact same just with different outfits and you either spend 5 minutes fighting him normally or 1 minute Tiger Dropping him and I was just sick of it because there were no unique encounters anymore and I had already learned a majority of his unique spawns just from encountering him so much. I hate Shichifuku in Kiwami because of Majima alone, he ruins that entire street.
The game stays at a framerate of the mid 20s and drops constantly, even more if you're on Dead Souls difficulty because of the eye effects all the zombies have.
If you fall on the ground there's a chance you will be stunlocked to death unable to ever get out of the loop of getting knocked down again.
The game is if they hacked together a TPS system and stuck it onto regular Yakuza gameplay so it's incredibly janky in general. You're better off mashing R1 with accessories that increase blindfire accuracy than aiming.
Left-stick aiming
The only difference between the four characters is their unique weapon and only Akiyama and Kiryu are worth using for the Underground Subterranea with Akiyama being the best due to Elise being two Golden Pistols with near instant reload times.
Grenades and grenade launchers are essentially unusable due to the ridiculous AoE on them and how long it takes for you to stand up (Even more unusable in Dead Souls difficulty because you will get immediately stunlocked to death as soon as it explodes by 20 zombies surrounding you).
Most of the substories are either repeats of a previous character's substories (Notably the director ones) or they're what would be considered a single substory in the other games split across five substories for no reason. It has some hilarious ones though for sure.
Ryuji's QZ is horrible.
Underground Subterranea is awful and you need to run 300ish floors of it for 100%.
It has the worst Amon in the entire series.
"No"
>waa more people are playing a series i like, it was supposed to be niche
>th-there must be only one person who hates me I-I'm totally not that insufferable!
Keep telling yourself that 0fag maybe someone will finally hug you...

Yeah dude holding square to shake hands was SOOOOOOOOOOO FUCKING ENGAGING YEAH TOTALLY NOT LIKE MUH CINEMATIC SHIT LIKE LAST OF US NOPE NOPE NOPE YAKUZA 5 IS A REAAAAALLLLLL FUCKING VIDEO GAME HOLD SQUARE TO SHAKE HANDS DUDE SOOOOOOOO FUUUUUUUUUUUNNNNNNNNNN THE BEST LITERALLY THE FUUUUUUUUUCKING BEEEEEEEEEEEEEEST
5 was too disjointed and a slog to play through most of the time. While I enjoyed playing as everyone I couldn't help that Shinada was far inferior to Tanimura in terms of combat though as a character he was fun.
Also the story was hard to follow at times and Akiyama's chapters were absolutely terrible in 5.
>We get it, the game was too long for you and muh story faggotry.
Not an argument, retard.
>The tourism was great, 5 cities, japanese mountains,
Most of the new maps were pretty lame or flat out boring. Only new location that was any fun was Saejima's and even then it was pretty much just a glorified road though I'll admit that the mountains were comfy as fuck and actually pretty fun.
>jobs
Boring taxi driving and racing woah never seen that before!
>I'm just sick of Tokyo
This I can agree with. If 6 got anything right it was Hiroshima.
Yakuza 4 and 5 just had more soul and better side content than Yakuza 0. Only storyfags like the game better.
>0fag
Its not going to catch on jaded nostalgiafag
0=5=2>4>8=3>1>DS
You "can" but mahjong is very easy to learn. Google yakuza mahjong tutorial. It only gets complicated with the different combinations and points. Basics are: build triplets of the same tile and consecs (1-2-3 etc) of tiles in the same suit. You do this by discarding one tile you don't need and drawing another. When you get 4 triplets and a pair you win the round.
Really quick question here, I "lost connection" with Majima in Chapter 13 on Kiwami. Told me about taxi's and that was it. Am I fucked?
Do you exist outside of yakuza threads?
>there is actually somehow a problem with enjoying a good storyline
the absolute state of Yea Forums. i dont even care which yakuza you like but if you're seriously telling me that having a good story in a game is a bad thing, then you're functionally retarded.
Better minigames doesnt make it a better game user
Combat is vastly inferior, story is retarded, sidemissions were about on par with any other game in the series
That's it. You're fucking dead bitch. Meet me at the playground at 3PM 0fag you just ticked off the wrong guy. Or give me 10,000 yen and I'll forget this entire incident happened.
hey he's a helpful dude i'm glad he hangs around
no it just means you have to progress in the main story for him to show up again
Forgot to add that Haruka does things to my dick in 5. It got that right at least
Playing 0 for the first time. I'm playing on hard and just lost to the Kuze boss fight, and now my HP is refilled when I retry? Is that the only way to heal in this game is to die? It feels kind of cheap.
No he's not.
food heals you and you can buy healing items
they show up in beat em up levels too
What the fuck you doing I played on hard first go and beat the shit out of him with Rush
From whag I've played
0>4>2>powergap>5>6>3>1
Around the time I reached Haruka the YUME shit started to really irritate me whenever I noticed it.
Pretty rude desu
Give me another game where you actually need to drive a taxi properly and interacting with customers at the same time. Pretty original if you ask me, my dude.
Better that Yakuza 0 mobile waiting game.
And the newer cities are far better than Osaka, outside of the Shinada one. Only Okinawa from Y3 is better.
Kuze 1 is the hardest mandatory fight in the whole game for some reason.
Thought walking into Stardust was a point of no return. After that he showed up. Daft.
Realism does not make a good game. If I want a taxi game from Sega I'd play Crazy Taxi not Snorekuza 5.
I dont mean it that way, just never see him anywhere else
it was hard for me because i'm a retard like that user and didn't know healing items existed
Why did they make him such a bro in 0?
Feels like a waste. He's such a garbage villain in 1.
It's mainly because you have no upgrades outside of maybe one damage upgrade for Brawler or Rush and a lot of people who haven't played previous games didn't know about something like Kotobuki Drugs or they just rush to the next story bit without realizing they should have a small stock of food or medicine before every encounter. If you know about Kotobuki Drugs you can just immediately stock up on an inventory of Staminan Royales because one enemy encounter is equal to anywhere from four to eight of the things in 0.
Yep, I just like these games and they stick in my mind enough to discuss them.
>girl: Bleh bleh bleh Sunshine! Bleh bleh mas!
>patron: Kawaii!
It's also generally at a point where you haven't unlocked many skills.
yeah he does, he posts in /krg/. so despite his encyclopedic knowledge of the series and consistent output of webms, he's still a tremendous, irredeemable faggot.
>he doesn't know
He only tripfags in Yakuza threads as he's one of the local experts.
They tried to redeem him. They knew he was terrible in Kiwami so they made him likeable in 0 and explained his descent into madness in Kiwami. I felt that it worked well enough, although he's still not a great villain.
So that you actually felt for Kiryu when he turned into a demon. Same reason Kiwami added the extra cutscenes showing him transform.
youtu.be
>game set in the 80s
>only ONE (1) eurobeat in the whole soundtrack
What a travesty
>Give me another game where you actually need to drive a taxi properly and interacting with customers at the same time. Pretty original if you ask me, my dude.
The first hour of Mafia 1 comes to mind and GTA to an extent. Also being original doesn't mean it's good, user. And as the other user pointed out realism isn't always fun
>And the newer cities are far better than Osaka
I can't really agree with this. Sotenbori while almost as overused as Kamurocho it's a pretty well-designed map.
>lol im evil now becuz jealousy
>even though you literally just served 10 years in prison for a crime i committed
I DONT GET IT
He was way more thick skinned in 0
i liked nishiki in kiwami a lot (played 0 first)
felt like his character development was "deserved" and it was sympathetic
Combat is vastly inferior
How? The combat is the same shit since Yakuza 3. You have the same styles from Y0 (fast, slow, middle), but just in more guys. And they removed the insane and fun red heat moves like Saejima using human bodies to fight other humans or Kazuma using North Star anime moves from Zero.
>story is retarded
Just like in all the games. You play for the fun characters in the city. And a new fun side activity here and there.
>sidemissions were about on par with any other game in the series
Taxi and hunting > mobile waiting game
>Boring taxi driving and racing woah never seen that before!
the whole taxi minigame was a lot of fun.
in a series where there's a lot of wacky humour and minigames, having something down to earth like regular taxi driving was pretty relaxing and enjoyable.
delete this image, reina is my 2nd wife.
It's because the series doesn't have good writing and Kiwami is bound by the original's dumb plot. They had to fix it as best they could. Besides it was his underling killing the doc that could have saved his sister that broke him. Constantly being told he's shit compared to Kiryu was just a side thing.
Combat was never as fluid as it was in 0 and kiwami user
Why is Majima so much more interesting to play as compared to Kiryu?
>poke eyes out and snap necks
>smash heads in with a bat
>literally dance on punks into submission
>slice niggas up and shit
All Kiryu has is 4 way to beat you up with his fists and meme drop
Reina sucks Nishiki cock for money
>Combat was never as fluid as it was in 0 and kiwami user
not him but 5 and ishin are in the same engine, and feel just as smooth to play.
only difference is that they have different fighting styles in each game (except for DoD, which was at its peak in 5)
No bullying.
stop this right now you DUMB MOTHERFUCKERS
Why are Yakuza faceapps meme so simple yet so good?
>loading screen everywhere
what
These faggots need to release Ishin. I'm done with the series for now with all the lazy remakes in Tokyo yet again, but I will play the shit out of Ishin.
What are you talking about Kiwami is fucking awesome.
In 0? Yeah
I love his thug style, easily the best fighting style in the series
It has so many counters and I love counters
If you mean story wise, personally I never really liked Majima that much outside of 0
The reason he is so good on 0 I think is because he's an unconventional character
Instead of being the typical underdog he's this suave cabaret manager, introduced as a total badass and genius
he doesnt start from a low point lile most protags, he starts at a high point and we see him fall into crazy town (relatively speaking, obviously in the overall timeline he is at a low point)
even kiryu's VA supports it
who else learning japanese just to play ishin
i already learned english to play games (like yakuza) so it can't be too hard r-right
Fresh off the press
Depending on how far you are in you probably should just stick to Kiwami. These games are great but they’re all really similar. It’s super easy to get burned out.
I probably will just finish 0 and wait for 6 to be ported to PC and be done with it.
I have waited 3 years for Kenzan.
yakuzapatch.tumblr.com
God damn it, it's never coming.
>tfw no big dick nishiki bf
Kiwami is probably the worst on the series, so its only better from here
I can see that it might be hard to localize for all the baka gaijin but it's not like any of them play these games. I say they just give us a direct translation since the turbo weebs would will understand it all and sperg out if they don't.
In zero he and Kiryu were just low rung thugs, and he was also above Kiryu in a way, he had more money and was more savy. It was just two buddies rocking the streets and eventually fighting side by side. Fast forward to Kiwami and Nishiki is still just a no name thug, while Kiryu has jumped past him, was just on the verge of getting his own family, he was basically at the top of his game, known all around as the Dragon of Dojima. And then just then he throws it all away to bail Nishiki out and took all the punishment. Combine that with Nishiki getting shit on by everyone behind his back and to his face, given a family of his own solely to hold up Kiryu when he gets back and five subordinates he can't control, plus everyone still treating him as second fiddle to Kiryu and losing the woman he loves to Kiryu AND not even able to protect her when she runs away, and losing his sister after all the shit he went through for the money only for it to be meaningless. It's no surprise it fucking broke the guy.
They shouldn't had tried fixing it by explaining why Nishiki became the way he did tbqh. One of the few noteworthy things about 1's plot was that it's about Kazuma dealing with the fact the world moved on without him during the ten years he was away and his best bro suddenly being one of the top guys and also a huge dick helps hammer that in.
The underling didn't kill the doctor, he shook him down for cash and then the doc packed up and ran away, basically revealing the doctor wanted the money just to pay off his debts and not to get the organ for Nishikis sister, and even then vanishes without a trace while she had no time left.
One of the guys mentioned here back in early January they got all their people thanks to the PCSX3 update video and I think all they had left was to just have a hacker fix the spacing specifically for the messenger letters and finishing up translating stuff. They mentioned they ideally want it out this year so finger's crossed.
>it might be hard to localize for all the baka gaijin
Here's the thing though, both Kenzan and Ishin have a literal in-game dictionary and glossary for everything historical. They both even have options to highlight certain terms and if you press triangle I think it was it brings up the term in the discussion so you can get what they're talking about.
Kenzan introduces all of its historical concepts to you in the story, every term that's important to the story is covered through dialogue (Yuujos for instance), it has the dictionary and glossary, it acts like you've never heard of Japanese history, and rolls with it. Ishin requires you to kind of know the people surrounding Sakamoto Ryoma because otherwise things like the "Akiyama/Ryuji let's get drunk" chapter just seems kind of random, several substories revolve around Japan opening themselves up to outside trade so you have the Black Boat substory which involved a white guy sailing up on his black boat which made them all think he was trying to invade their land and in reality he was just sick and needed help so he could continue trading with the Japanese, you have William who is there chasing a guy, you have Tom who wants to take samurai values from Japan back to America, and so on. The only major historical thing you need to know is Sakamoto Ryoma died officially and they roll with that in the story even using picture related as the picture of him.
Kenzan and Ishin would easily be able to be played by baka gaijin, I can personally attest to this. Kenzan is the easiest of the two by far to follow, Ishin just requires a bit more knowledge.
But he doesn't fall into crazy town. He realizes it's all just billshit and the best way to live is by doing whatever he wants, being free and tenacious in life, it just seems crazy because he takes such glee in his wacky antics.
>3 years
That's but a drop in the ocean user. Try waiting for more than that. And having the translators either straight up stop or lollygagging so much it's actually never getting done.
How can you get burnt out when Kiwami 2 is so different.
>that gratuitious chinese torture scene
Yeah but in Zero you get to learn about Nishiki and Kiryu as brothers and grow closer to him. To have him just be an unrepentant monster in Kiwami without explanation would be shit, and it brings much more weight to the final confrontation to have these two men's lives presented to you and why they fight
He just tells himself that
In reality he's just coping with it, it all comes out when he meets back up with Saejima
How has this not been posted yet

So there is no real challenge in this game? Just spam heal items that you grind for? Sounds like typical japanese shit.
>just spam heal items
Yeah dude just buy 99 lifegems and DS2 is no challenge
Go fuck yourself
It isn't some insanely difficult game but there are a couple of fights that can one shot you.
It's harder than 90% of western games, but you don't really play Yakuza games for the combat.
not every game needs to be challenging to be good silly user
>buy maximum healing items so i dont have to actually learn the combat system
>i just mash buttons then pause to heal up
>WTF WHY IS THIS GAME SO EASY
kys nigger
try doing a beatdown level with no heals
You have amon fights for the challenge and you can cheese literally any game. It's not even that much about health items but weapon heat actions. I cheesed legend difficulty with stun gun and spicy knife but it's still challenging at parts where you are surrounded with 20 enemies.
"You're not the only one with a dragon on his back, boy..."
Well I do, not for the challenge, but for the arousal of kicking someone to the ground and pouring boiling water on their face.
One of the best games I've ever played.
Well, it is about japanese people.
How hard would it be to mod in playable Majima into Kiwami since it and 0 are the same engine?
So what is the proper way to play this game without cheesing? Just never use heals and only get healed on checkpoint deaths?
someone tried that with saejima, and akiyama's styles on kiryu in 0, but it ended up causing the game to crash when performing certain heat actions
There is no proper way, just play it how you want.
the proper way is to chug staminans and slap people around with kiryu's enraged loins.
I'm getting 2 second stuttering every 3 minutes.
I did the priority thing so I don't know what the problem is.
They're still figuring out how to use different character styles in 0 and they use a really hacky method using an invisible weapon to activate it. I'd imagine it would be very hacky to get playable Majima up and running in Kiwami and you'd have to swap the skins manually for the game and cutscenes.
It's ultimately up to the player and how far they want to take it. My general rules are:
>Never use heals that aren't from restaurants.
Amon fights are the exception because he can deal 40%+ of your health a hit and they expect you to bring them. You can still carry some health around if you don't feel like dying and going back hours but try to limit the usage in general.
>No Tiger Drop allowed
Exceptions are 3, Ishin, and Kiwami Amons and any boss-tier enemy you have beaten once legitimately, so the Coliseum enemies and Majima are examples. This still means you have to fight someone like Izo 1 and Izo 2 without cheesing because they're still technically new bosses due to new moves added on.
>No Ultimate Heat outside of 5
5's isn't as overpowered as the newer games and runs out far quicker so it's much more fair compared to "Can't die and you deal health bars of damage per combo" in the newer ones.
>No weapons that can be equipped to yourself.
>Try to avoid using two-handed street items unless absolutely necessary, one-handed ones are fine as they're just so-so damage wise.
If you die you reload your save, checkpoints are still more or less cheesing since you're not going through the whole encounter again.
>Yakuza characters finally appeared in a crossover game
>It's their Dead Souls versions
What's the quirky song that plays during some sidequests?
Dark Souls has thought put into its encounters. Yakuza doesn't.

Shenmue but good
Kiwami's story is all over the place. What is even going on? At chapter 6
I've only played 0 but I am in love. What do I play next?
After playing Kiwami, i think it ultimately was pacing issue that made it fall flat. the elements of the story were actually good and interesting, it all just sort of happened back to back which was way too fast to get emotionally attached to any of it. You could really tell that Yakuza 1 was meant to be a one off and not spawn a never ending series.
Fuck didn't mean to reply to a post.
I've only played 0 but want to play more. What do I play next? Kiwami?
filler
Did the latest beta patch fix the lighting issues it had in some cutscenes? I know the one before removed denuvo (200mb to 20mb exe).
0 was made to flesh out Yakuza 1 (Kiwami is the remake of 1), so yeah, you need to play Kiwami to get the full perspective. It's a great game, but it's just not as good as Y0. It's about half as long and missing a number of side activities; look at it like a big DLC for 0 and it'll be worth it, since it deals with almost all of hte same characters. some things I think Kiwami did better, other things not so much. the PC port looks incredible, especially if you use Y0's mod to turn of depth of field.
A half assed story with an even more half assed attempt at trying to salvage it. There's a reason 0 is the only discussed Yakuza game.
>want to replay legend on new game plus on 0
>can't
i don't want to grind the shitty real estate minigame again bros...
>haruka wants me to beat a cheating ai at rotation pool
fuck her
stoic majima > mad dog memejima
First timer here. What's the best starting difficulty?
Normal
>REAL MAJIMA
But even without 0 anyone who's played 3(4?) knows that's not the real Majima and he's merely pretending
best style too. So many heat options and the strings are great
>some things I think Kiwami did better, other things not so much.
Which things would you say Kiwami did better?
I'm a steambab so I only played 0 and K1, just beat K1 yesterday and I honestly can't say I liked anything in K1 over anything in 0.
Unless we're counting having a daughter to protect.
where is this shit from?
