The problem is that RA1 and C&C1 are not very interesting by current standards. People expect more, this is why RA2 would've been a better choice for a remaster. There was at least some depth to it.

It will probably play out the same as the AoE remasters.

I dunno I found them both equally good TS could have been better if they had a way to implement all the ideas that they had for the game during the development but what we got was still rather cool especially the atmosphere of the setting and the music was just spot on with amazing designs.
RA2 on the other hand was such a rush in gameplay and all the ideas on how to combine units and the variety of units for all three sides sides is just fantastic I mean okay there where some useless units like the crazy/crono Ivan and some niche units like the tank destroyer that where far too specialised to be useful and the story was far more of a b-movie and more focused comedy and cliches which the last game was not it was rather dark and serious especially when stuff like the chrono anomaly started happening during a match or the first soviet mission the only funny part was the one where they where spying on Stalin in his bedroom (and when Joe killed Frank for the second time in a cutscene).
And now do I realize that I want play the campaigns of both games again.
Kanes Wrath was good but Firestorm is still a bit better in my opinion especially in terms of story.
