Truthfully I'm glad it died after the first
>breathe
>morrigan disapproves
that system was fucking great and any imbecil who
says it was hard to work with, is a fucking casual idiot
I miss that tactics system for sure. Simple, effective.
I heard pillars of eternity 2 has something like it but haven't played it yet
It is a copy of FF12 except you can't also script MC and watch game play itself.
Look at the AI advancements 5 years later!
Morrigan is the best but she's too edgy, she fundamentally hates you if you decide to not be a cunt for a second.
A lot of games have it, Final Fantasy 12 was the first game I remember seeing it in. It's not exactly new.
It's kind of wasted in DAO because the game is easy as fuck once you get past the tower of ishal even on Nightmare after the
>extra tactic slots for your characters require spending skill points
This was such bullshit.
Maybe you shouldn't run around with your tits hanging out.
Did they ever give a reason for gutting the tactics system? Setting up good tactics in origins was so satisfying because battles ran so smoothly and it felt good to have minimal micromanagement or only micro manage the character you wanted. In inquisition though the tactics are so shit. It's very annoying trying to manage the mage shields but as soon as you switch off a mage for a second he wastes his shield spell at the wrong time.
I've not played any final fantasy games yet. My jap is too shitty atm
Yes, I wanted to kill a few thousand more darkspawn with my team.
>Morrigan is the best
Aren't you forgetting someone, user.. someone VERY sweet and cute?
inquisition is a gamepad action game first, open world collectathon second, rpg fifth. it's a ubisoftlike checklist of markest research: the game
>her voice
For me, it's Oghren Spurdo
Play it in English. FF12 has some of the best English Language voice acting in the industry.
youtube.com
Which makes it better, in addition to having a mouse and keyboard which are the proper input devices for the kind of AI scripting FF12 tried (and failed) to utilize.
You actually like that awful fake accent?
>let me unlock that for you
>let me unlock that for you
>let me unlock that for you
>insufficient skill
Nope.
Not really. I have good memories of playing it, but it was such a linear corridor game, i not feel like returning to it. Rather make another playthrough through Kingmaker or ATOM RPG, ELEX or something.
It was undoubtfully a good game, but it whole was on rails, and once you experienced the story not so interesting.
A shame that voice acting is wasted on such a terribly-written script, poorly-written characters, and is heavily compressed.
What they did to the series after the first game should be seen as a form of extreme abuse and if there was any justice in the world it would be punishable by law.
Perhaps you should have levelled up her cunning and chose the perks from the deft hands tree.
gays not welcome
>morrigan
>edgy at the start; eventally becomes a very loyal and loving wife
>leliana
>starts "very sweet and cute"; becomes a cringy edgelord afterwards
No, i'm not.
I pick my own locks, thank you Leliana.
Reminder that Pepe's actions were completely justified
>I didn't actually play DA:O the post
Give me one reason why you shouldn't harden Alistair and not romance him.
Zevran is the best character in the franchise and one of Bioware's best ever.
Alistair is garbage
the fuck
He loses his sense of humor when you harden him.
The Dog Of Peace was so cute I always brought him out in all of my parties
Good, his sense of humor is awful.
Someone didn't lick a lamppost in winter.
can i get you a permaban so you can get off my board
I keep remembering DA:O being this massive game, but looking back it's got that typical Bioware format of intro - 4 different areas/groups - ending area. I guess DAO also had the city, but still, was it only a 25-30 hour game, am I remembering wrong?
what? 25 hours is just the deep roads
I thought it was endearing, he delivers jokes similar to me.
They were both thots. Canon should be broing it up with Alistair for life.
>If I intend to suck on anything of yours Alistair, you'll be the first to know
>the way she says suck
god morrigan made my dick diamonds, always fucked her asap. also does anyone have the drawing of someone telling Sten to fuck off with "Sten Approves"?
Beta and awkward?
>ever
If you mean every day, sure. Every DA game was enjoyable. This is fact. Very few characters, if any, are boring or have uninteresting backstories. The lore is so diverse and mythical that it feels like you're playing through a fantasy epic like Wheel of Time or Tolkien.
>tries to kill you
>asks you to let him live and join you
>tries to kill you again later
zevran is the worst da:o character besides anders. i can't imagine not gutting zevran where he stands every playthrough.
my PC crapped out in the middle of my first playthrough of DA1 and I lost my save data, think i'd put about 20 hours in at this point. I really enjoyed the game but I don't think I'll ever replay it from the beginning again
>Every DA game was enjoyable
no inquisition was legitimately bad and I say that as someone who has been able to get through 2 multiple times.
yeah that faggot spic elf can fuck off
>shits on your leadership qualities
>I don't give a shit what you think sten
>sten approves +20
Can't remember anything about that game except witch tits and that the game was boring as fuck. It's a glorified waifu vn.
No wonder that after Bioware stopped making good waifus everyone but mentally ill minorities started shitting on them. They never knew how to make a good game.
youre a fucking brainlet
>duh gayme has talking so its a vn!
kill yourself
>Every DA game was enjoyable. This is fact.
Except it's not
Inquisition had some good parts. The ball, the Emerald Graves, and dragon hunting. Plus, as always, the characters.
>what does glorified mean
Not even him but you're retarded.
I replay it yearly, how could I miss it?
If anything I'm grateful Bioware will die before they can finish 4.
i know what glorified means fuckwit and that doesnt mean shit because theres so much more to the game than dialogue, suck my cock. you could call something like persona a glorified vn since thats the focal point of the series
>Plus, as always, the characters.
More so using wry sarcasm to deflect emotionally charged moments or responsibility
60+
Was like 54 hours full completionist for me.
Should I replay this game?
I played it when it released 10 years ago
And becomes a teenage boy trying to be edgy
>Every DA game was enjoyable
I'll defend inquisition, but 2 was straight up garbage.
In DAO Morrigan tries to seduce you because she’s trying to manipulate you to getting her the Old God Baby but then realizes she actually fell in love with you and freaks out
Dragon Age I, is the literally the last RPG I have enjoyed. Maybe ME 2 if you can consider that an RPG.
Kind of sad actually.
The qunari plot was pretty damn good in that one. Plus, the blowing up of the chantry.
Plus the fact that whether a character liked or hated you gave them different abilities.
Origins was really good. Inquisition should have been the same combat in an open world with 4-player coop, like a modern Baldurs Gate
people who complain about the fade are massive pussies
Its about 50-60hrs if you arent rushing. Combat is pretty slow.
>shale that low
rivals HK-47
The characters sucked in Inquisition. It was all fags and trannies. Only the old evil elf god was good.
nah it was a boring slog
thx nibba
when i massacre you h*mans i'll leave you for last!
Think EA will sell the license off to Obsidian after Bioware dies? They should drop Pillars and do a Dragon Age cRPG
only because you're a brainlet
it's a casual filter
bet my iq is higher than yours, it was boring shit and is only remembered for being boring shit you contrarian fag
if you didn't put a Cousland babe in ONLY Gheyna then idk what you even played for.
It’s boring as shit dude. Not only do you have to slog through the whole thing, you have to make sure you don’t miss any stat bonuses along the way, complete garbage.
>Do you ever miss Dragon Age?
Yes, actually, I do.
I'd really like to play Dragon Age Inquisition, but it isn't on Steam and my peanut brain is too small to understand how to buy or play it. Where did it go?
We got a real Rick and Morty aficionado over here
just pay 5 bucks for shitty origin access for it then stop paying once you finish or pirate it
Wow, I thought steambabbies was just a meme. You corporate loyalists are sad and mentally stunted
Cole's better than most of these since he actually does feel like a fantastical mystical characterr not some generic bioware funny man
no, he just claimed i was dumb and i claimed i was probably more intelligent than him. sick outdated meme though
nigga pls
rarbg.to
Dragon Age was mediocre and just overall very boring and predictable without memorable tough fights. Like anything Bioware did after the BG trilogy, really.
Any thread about it immediately (literally in the first post ITT) derails into waifu faggotry and this should say enough about the people who liked it.
sten was funnier than him. "swooping is bad" seriously thats the best he could do?
shut up fag
>that time when bioware said final fantasy games aren't real RPGs but then proceeded to take the idea of gambits from FF12 for dragon age: origins
Not that FF12 created such a feature, however its implementation in dragon age is almost exactly the same as FF12
no u
I dont think the hate for 2 is justified. Wasnt that bad desu. Still, it was inferior to Origins.
Except better.
Yes, and while I understand from a story perspective why the darkspawn aren't in later games much, there still wasn't much to replace them.
>inquisition characters
>cant script the MC so you get to do the work for him
yeah okay, but its not as if its some huge improvement, you could have chosen to not use gambits for your party leader in 12
>Morrigan is the personal DnD character of fugly gay autistic man
Sooooo....anyone know what that redheaded bitch with the god-awful accent is up to?
There's a mod for that, and why would you ever want a video game to play itself? Maybe WRPGs aren't for you, perhaps the offerings on the PS4 are more your speed.
That is demonstrably untrue, nostalgiafaggot. Approximately 99% of threads either devolve into DA2/Inquisition shitposting or "Loghain did nothing wrong" shitposting
Compared to BG threads which are just waifufaggotry, nostalgiafaggotry, and mechanics autism for a busted game
Fucking Deep Roads was a drag.
Are you trying to argue the BG trilogy wasn't boring and predictable, faggot?
Jesus Christ, they couldn't've signposted any of the "plot twists" more obviously if they'd tried
>its not as if its some huge improvement
That's the thing, it is. The problem with FF12 was that it either played itself or you had to tediously micromanage everything through cumbersome menus. A keyboard and mouse completely eliminates the tedium due to the sheer number of available inputs. The selected character is also entirely within your control at all times. It is an elevation and evolution of FF12's limited design. It's what FF12 should have been if it had released on the PC in the first place -- except DA:O actually has a better plot, better writing, and better characters.
>"Loghain did nothing wrong"
Alistair disapproves -50
