I work a non-retail, non-food service job for about 30-40 hours a week. It's 10 hour shifts but I only work about 3 or 4 days a week so I have at least 3 free days to do whatever I want like playing vidya, pursuing other hobbies, etc. Honestly, I don't love my job but I don't hate it either, it's just a way to pay bills but I live comfortably enough to save money for a house, rent my own apartment, have health care, a car, etc. Plus, with the benefits I get, I'm set for life and a good retirement if I keep working and I get holidays off.

You can do it anons, you can have a job that doesn't burn you out and make you miserable AND time for your hobbies. Am I the happiest I could be? Of course not, but I have the time and energy to chase that dream as well as something to fall back on if my goals don't work out.

The smart way to do it is only work if you need money (new console releases) and hop on welfare the rest of the time. You don´t believe how much more enjoyable your free time is when you worked a year or two.

1 year unemployment benefits
