>Carlo Ivo Alimo Bianchi, CEO & Founder, Storm in a Teacup, said: “Our relationship with Epic and the decision to use the Unreal Engine have provided fantastic opportunities for our studio, enabling a greater creative freedom and the ability to double-down on quality for our games. To launch on the Epic games store feels like the perfect next step and we are delighted that our partnerships with both Wired Productions and Epic Games will help propel Close to the Sun to achieve our ambitions.”
>“It’s great news for independent developers and publishers that Epic has opened up these incredible opportunities for its partners,” said Leo Zullo, Managing Director, Wired Productions. “Success in this industry is hard to come by and the industry relies on each other to drive progress. Great games need great developers, who need great tech, who need great publishers, who need great distribution opportunities.”
>Close to the Sun is an “atmospheric horror game” developed by Storm in a Teacup. Set in 1897, it takes place on a ship complex created by Nikola Tesla in the pursuit of knowledge. In this alternate version of world history, many scientific breakthroughs have already taken place and had a major impact on world society. As a young journalist looking for her sister, you quickly realize that something has gone terribly wrong, as the entire ship complex is deserted, with a single word painted over the entrance: quarantine.
Gaben is watching his empire slowly crumble around him like the movie Scarface, except the white powder is the stuff from doughnuts
>$30 when did indie devs get the idea that they were allowed to charge more than ten bucks for their shovelware?
Michael Fisher
Never heard about this game until now
Luke Hughes
When Epic told them that they have to in order to meet income demands due to the smaller cut they receive. They need to make that bribe money back somehow.
Yeah it's pretty good if you like games with little direction and lots of micromanagement.
Nicholas Hughes
>But you can turn it off! How about not making it a thing in the first place you fucking chink. Other companies use email notifactions to do that shit because pop ups like that are cancer.
Xavier Mitchell
who?
Logan Wood
jesus christ
I hope they get wiped off the face of the earth
Ian Rivera
A notification is useless unless you see it
No wonder Steam games have been failing in sales
Lincoln Gutierrez
as if your damage control makes up for the fact that epic actually took the time to make in game ad pop-ups and thought it was a good idea
yeah, no, how about fuck off you dirty chink
Kayden Martinez
never heard it
Kevin Gomez
so what i gather from this image is that the chinese tourists i see are the best people they've got? thats a big yikes.
Ian Morgan
oh no, a game I never heard of and have no interest in is exclusive to epic... the horror
Ayden Price
Does Gabe really think he's intimidated by Epic? You obviously need to improve on your shilling tactics Epic-kun. Go and get a real job to earn more Yuan you faggot
James Evans
Americans have credit scores too.
You can't buy or rent a house with a bad score, you can't get loans, you may just end up homeless.
The only difference is that China factors in crimes to your credit score, and applies it to a greater scope of things, like buying airplane tickets.
China is not purely capitalist, they have a socialist aspect and the government handles a lot more and tries to provide a stronger safety net so people don't end up homeless like in America. This comes at the cost of higher government interference in society and people's lives.
Jose Gutierrez
they can buy another game off from steam to piss off Gabe
Colton Scott
They also give you GBP when you shill for the government. Displaying wrongthink online will bomb your social score. Not a chance. They're the most mindless drones of them all.
Owen Anderson
>be bad at paying money back >people dont want to lend you money
this is logical
>walk dog without leash >jaywalk >cannot leave country
this is evil
Michael Robinson
AHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHHAHHAHAHA COMMIT SUICIDE YOU FAGGOT REMEMBER TO SAGE REPORT AND IGNORE THOSE FAGGOTS
I already don't like credit scores, but at least have no bearing on anything about you other than whether or not you reliably pay bills when they're due.
The chinese government controls all aspects of your life, including your ability to log on to social media. They use facial recognition software to fine you and shame you on large monitors for j walking. They track how much you walk daily to make sure you're meeting walking quotas. Chinese police will literally cut off your already heavily censored internet access and personally visit you if someone so much as communicates the name of a certain chinese massacre to you. It is literally a real life dystopia. It is LITERALLY indefensible so you must be an actual chink shill.
You having a shit score because you didn't pay taxes and commit crimes, means they limit your usage of government resources.
It's different than how America works but nothing is that absurd about it.
Christopher Allen
we're talking about a dystopian social credit system, not fucking federal offenses that put you on a no-fly list.
Cameron Brown
i mean, if i commit certain crimes in the US, aren't i not allowed to use a plane? like big, heavy crimes.
Nathan Ross
yes, the most evil crime of all... jaywalking...
Robert Brooks
>They use facial recognition software to fine you and shame you on large monitors for j walking
There's 325 million people in America.
There's 1.2 billion people in China and the cities are clogged to the brim, at this point how do you stop these niggers from j-walking because it unironically becomes a serious problem?

What type of game is it? Is it an actual game or just an walking sim?
Cause I can live without the latter, at least until they back off from their deal with Epic and try to recuperate their losses by selling on steam at discount.
no, you have a shit score from all aspects of your life, including but not limited to showing any disagreement with the chinese government or holding any political opinions that are not sanctioned by the chinese government (i.e simply stating that taiwan is not part of china), or littering, or just not meeting your exercising quota for the day
