I have only played FF15 and Crysis Core and I found 15 to be alot of fun I loved the dynamic between the guys it felt very real and natural and the combat was flashy and satisfying, game sorta fell apart when I learned of the Exo Suit I killed a level 40 enemy with it at level 20 that gave me a massive EXP boost or when I killed a level 80 enemy at level 50 but other than that I loved the scenery, sound track and characters also when the loli in the town said "the breeze feels so good" I thought of Fiora getting stabbed and that gave me a lil bit of PTSD so thats funny

Having played IV, VI, VII, VIII, X, XII and XIII is XV worth it? Never really considered it because by comparison to the other parts the setting, main cast and aesthetic of this one just seems really boring. It also lacks hot girls in the main cast so that's a downer.

It's not as bad as it's memed to be, though definitely a mess in a lot of ways.
The story and characters are pretty good. The setting really grew on me, it didn't feel like FF to me at first but as you see all the cool locations it starts to have the FF vibe more and more.

Don't play it like an open world game and you should enjoy it. The combat is boring but if you managed to get all the way through XIII, XV is miles better.

I'm just wondering what's even it's thing? All the FF games stood out somehow. VI went for a more steampunk-ish/magitech setting with an apocalyptic plot twist. VII was cyberpunk with eldrith aliens. X was asian/oceanic fantasy with focus on spiritual magic, XII had a mediterranean setting with a more political plot. What is unique about XV? How does it stand out from the series which at its peaks always wanted to introduce some variety and some spin on what fantasy can even be.

I preferred the combat in XIII to XV. XV feels like a clusterfuck. Maybe I just need to git gud, but I never felt like my skill was that much of an issue, so much as the fact that the game throws a ton of enemies at you at once with a combat system designed for maybe 3 enemies max. It just doesn't feel responsive or good in any way, except for blocking and countering which was pretty good, but most of the time you're just rolling or holding down the dodge button because you're being overwhelmed and can't do anything about it other than roll roll roll dodge dodge, and none of it feels good.
Far too slow and unresponsive for the actiony type of combat they were going for I think, and not thought out well enough to be a good slow-paced combat game like Dark Souls.

I like how in X the world actually feels consistent, all the elements work together. In VII you have a cyberpunk city and then suddenly when you go outside nothing at all is done in that same tone. It's mainly villages that could easily have been in the medieval fantasy settings of FF I-V. Besides that one more tribal village that was supposed to stand in contrast to Midgard.

If you made it through XIII you should enjoy XV. It’s release was a bit of a mess but I really enjoyed it in the end. The friendship between the 4 main characters makes it worth it. It also has a charismatic villain and combat is flashy and fun imo. Though magic is kind of boring and OP.

The endgame content is locked behind several hours of grinding stat nodes, with no lore or story to it, endgame and sidequests in FF8 for example like Shumi Village makes for worldbuilding and explores the FF8 world and lore more, FF10 is just "Farm these arena monsters over and over until you can beat dark Aeons which serves no purpose to the story"

There's a juxtaposition between the rural Americana modern age Lucis where most of the game takes place, the magitek fueled empire that looks like FFVII's Midgar, and the idyllic old world style Altissia.
