Can't really speak for Star Successor, but given that you could run it on Dolphin, I'd say probably.
The original S&P might require some settings fiddling though.

I fucking love the shit out of the second game, still need to beat it on hard though (I am not looking forward to that Shaman fight), and I could do with playing the first one again on normal (didn't realise it had a difficulty setting as I was playing on a Japanese rom).
First game is really short if that may put it up the list.

I hope that when a sequel comes out, there a actual fucking explaination on the OUTER SPACE side.
We seen everything from the INNER SPACE side.
Guardian heroes and Guardian Heroes advance are inner side creating warriors to fight outer space.
Gunstar heroes and gunstar heroes advance are about the crystals based on other treasure games and GOLDEN SILVER relationship with Humanity across the multiverse/inner verse.
Silvergun and Ikaruga Relationship with Earth as the stonelike and the fact the fucking stonelike appear in the final battle in Sin and Punishment 1 when the MC decided to fight on the side of earth.

Yeah, I finished SS on Dolphin years ago, I remember I had to enable the disable (or enable?) fog setting, otherwise runed like butter on my old PC. Not sure how much dolphin has improved since then

I only like good and obscure games in general regardless if the story is good or not.
I pirated it on the Wii then bought it on the WiiU. Last year i bough Sin and Punishment Star Successor, but i haven't even touched it. It emulates quite well.

Can you play the original on Dolphin since it was on Virtual console. hell does Dolphin even support Virtual Console?? I haven't dabbled in Dolphin for years now and have no idea how far they have come.
Also the sequel doesn't require an actual wiimote right? I can play it with a controller or better, with a KB/M??
