Game is same shit we getting for years towers, collectables and shit combat. Swinging was fun for while but it quickly became repetitive ( like anthem flying ). The template they use to make these games isnt bad its just the execution is just amateurish and horriple. There are so many ways to improve this game.

Spiderman is fucking trash. And I fucking mad to dig out my PS 4 to buy it, AND it cost an over $20 extra to get the fucking code from amazon (think about this: not using any postage, packing, handling, shipping, cost of cardboard, etc, ad nauseam....AND the Amazon cunts have the (((chutzpah))) to charge you an extra $20 for DLing it, rather than wasting money on everything associated with buying a hard copy.
BTW, I thought after the example set by the first 2 or 3 Batman games, it would HAVE to be good. Buy, was I fucking wrong. The swinging across buildings gets out after exactly 5 minutes. Total, total fucking waste of money.

Zombies is a fucking nightmare and I regret reading it, but even as a zombie Peter was the hero of the story. The only zombie to constantly regret what he did and the first one to stop eating and convince the others to do so. Yeah, it's great. A real trip to read too, the panel work and art is like an acid trip, which fits the story. My favorite part was Peter's monologues in it but its an open and shut, isolated story with a happy ending not touched by OMD.

I liked it simply because it's unlike the usual Marvel formula movie where it's about evil villain with doomsday device and finding macguffin to stop him. Well it's still about that but they backed it with the multiverse plot which is interesting. And it's quite creative on some parts too.
The part where it shows Kingpin's flashbacks, where it managed to show his motivations and reasons for you to care about him, in a minute. That's a good storytelling and not even other Marvel movies has that sense of nuance.

Yeah I couldn't wait for the opportunity to kick her ass and when that fight finally came it ended before I could do anything. Gotta keep the women empowered you know can't let them ever be beaten by a man. Now that I think about it that's probably partly why they didn't have any female villains in the game. Of course the Wraith is the only female villain we'll probably ever fight and she's going to be someone we're supposed to sympathize with.

I recently went back to this since I got the DLC cheap. I loved it when it first came out but now I agree. The street crimes are literal copy/pastes that you need to do excessive amounts of. The mini games for hacking/electronics were an unnessescary addition and used far, far too often. Even on the highest difficulty - all of the boss fights are underwhelming which takes a lot of impact out of the story. Also, the constant, long, unskippable cutscenes. I could go on, but there's a lot to improve for the sequel.
It does a lot of things right; the music is good, it obviously looks good, I loved the number of suits and how different they were, combat with gadgets is great, photo-mode works pretty good, swinging and momentum still wasn't as good as Spiderman 2 for me it's still okay. It's definitely a 7/10.

I didn't like how little Shocker ended up having to do with the game overall. They could have left him out of the game entirely and nothing would have really changed. After that second encounter with him, I don't think he's mentioned again at any point later in the game, outside of the obligatory JJJ broadcast that plays immediately after it.
