Why is this game complete perfection?
Why is this game complete perfection?
The cutscenes are shit and infinitely inferior to the original.
Could someone explain why I beat it and now I can't bear myself to play it? I think it has to do with the time limit. It was good otherwise, but I just don't want to play it anymore.
Time limit? Wait what ?
It wouldve been better with fixed camera angles
Because it takes good horror gameplay and combines it with the good puzzle/atmosphere of classic RE.
I'd give my first born for a Silent Hill remake on the same scale.
It's a great game by modern resident evil standards but it's not as good as the original and it's not even in the same solar system as REmake.
It's okay.
Too short, though.
Same, I want to speed run it, but I started a playthrough, forgot where the spade key was, then gave up.
Because you have no standards and have not even played perfect games.
FPBP.
I didn't care about a time limit because I could give a shit about the grade at the end. I played through Leon A and Clair B as well as Hunk's side mission and I feel satisfied, which is fine.
I did the speedruns after my first run to get them out of the way and fuck around with the infinite weapons. Now that I got that out of the way playing slow is really enjoyable.
>Could someone explain why I beat it and now I can't bear myself to play it?
Because it unironically lacks soul. It's like another janky Friday night flick; you watch it once, lol at its shit, and then move on.
It does not help that it lacks half of the replay-value and atmosphere of the original game.
it's simple
I wouldn't say it's perfection, I wish scenario B took a completely different path to keep it fresh. It's definitely one of the better high budge games I've played so far. Hardcore is actually challenging.
I got the platinum, now I just gotta finish the dlc and finish the tofu modes.
FYI, screenshot your files to narrow down what is the last one you need to read. Saves you so much effort in the long run.
The half assed B scenarios leave major plot holes. The game is literally unfinished.
No one cares about your stupid Chinese cartoon plots, not even the people that wrote the game. The best thing about the plot is that there isn't much of it because it's just as stupid as it was 20 years ago.
THIS I hate the amount of praise this game is getting without people mentioning this shit.
They could barely remake a 5 hour game made over 20 years ago with twice the amount of staff and shit still got cut and rushed.
It wasn't perfect, but it was really fucking good.
>The best thing about the plot is that there isn't much of it
And this is why games, including DEmake2, are so shit today: they are made for ADHD run-n-gun nuts like this child.
>it was really fucking good.
By whose standards? It was barely passable at best. Only reason kids praise this game is because of the RE2's name on the cover. Would it be a new IP with exact same design, no one would even mention it any more.
Are you me?
I'll play Claire B and Leon A after I play some other games so I can have a reason to come back.
I hate how random stunning zombies is
Half of the entire game is random, thanks to the score-based autobalance system. One moment every headshot may 1-hit gib a zombie and mixing ammo grants you tons of bullets, while the other you waste entire mags just to stun a single foe and get half of the ammo from powders you did moments earlier.
Has this been proven? I thought each zombie had it's own hard-coded health values.
alligator section sucks, and we couldve used one more non G boss, but i really hope theyre going to work on RE3 remake and build up from this
Because I don't care about the stupid ass anime story? You're a fucking retard and I've been playing resi probably since before you were born.
PENIS, LOL
>perfection
lets not go overboard now.
>Has this been proven?
Yes. There's very detailed info on the game's "scoring" system, which affects the A.B.-difficulty of the game.
I myself have plenty of first-hand experience with the system. For example, this one time I was trying to speedrun the game, and got into the labs and I mixed 2 white powders and got 6 Mag ammos per pair. I ended up fooling around a bit too long in the end, so I loaded a previous save and replayed the whole section, doing much better this time around. Now I only got 5 Mag shots / powder pair.
Another time, this time as Leon A (3rd playthru), I screwed up at the beginning and had to run to the cop station on Danger HP, and remained so all the way until I got back to Marvin. During the East-side's dark corridor scene, my pistol literally kept 1-shotting zombies' heads to pieces.
>I've been playing resi probably since before you were born.
Sorry, there was no RE games back in 1987.
have you tried gitting gud?
Add in half an hour of gameplay before entering the station as well as inside the NEST, and completely seperate B routes, and then I would say it's a perfect game
>Claire's default costume is a downgrade from the original
>Scenario B is butchered and now dosn't fit in with the plot of the game
>Mr X was wasted on Scenario A instead of being an unstoppable Scenario B surprise
>the streets were moved to later in the game for no good reason, this ruins the scale of the shit you've just landed in
>the labs were cut down immensely
>Kendo has forced child drama because when you can't think of a way to make people feel for a character, throw in a dying kid to do it for you
>Alligator wasn't a boss just a running event
>Mr X's transformation is a huge downgrade from OG RE2
>Ada's "death" is handled worse
>no spiders
>no Ivy BOW's demonstrating Umbrella's BOW' experimentation, just ivy zombies instead, probably used instead because easier to animate
>final Birkin fight is Scenario B only for some reason
>non-existent soundtrack, serious downgrade from OG
>no Marvin transformation scene, he just pops up as you walk past him
>more of a personal gripe but I'm not a fan of the combat system, a zombie tanking bullets and a licker taking several shotgun blasts is just silly to me
It's good, but there are a lot of flaws.
>>final Birkin fight is Scenario B only for some reason
I thought it was like this in the original as well?
fucken good posts anons. Maybe with re3make they will be able to focus more attention on just on it since there is no b scenario. Having said that, yeh the b scenario in re2make seem half assed as fuck.
>implying the game is "hard" on any way
I've only ever played DEm2 on HC, because fuck removing Ink Ribbons inna "RE game".
Making every single element in the game to rely on RNG gods is just pure bullshit that goes against its own "Learnable Systems" design it tries to implement.
I think he means the G4 / "Doggo William", not the Blob-Birkin.
The bottom line is, only Leon gets to ever fight Super Tyrant, and Claire only fights 2nd-to-last William.
>tfw I've gotten S+ across the board, unlocked all models and concept art save for the tofu models and the 1 concept from beating them
>can't fucking beat the first fucking tofu
I keep getting so close. So damn close. But I keep getting FUCKED.
>implying the game is "hard" on any way
but I'm not implying it is at all. if anything you and the posts I linked seem to be having more trouble with the game.
>every single element in the game to rely on RNG gods is just pure bullshit
you don't have to rely on the RNG gods just know what supplies fit the situation and use it.
the game gives you more than enough to deal with everything.
Anyone know what mod software is used to decompress and edit the model textures? I wanna modify Mr. X to have a look more akin to the OG. Greenish / brown coat, smoother complexion, etc. Might even modify the mutated version's textures to be more than just gray and red gore.
I beat it after getting chainlocked by grabs at the end and barely slipping by with critical health. keep trying, user.
>beat the game on normal
>meh not bad
>start playing on hardcore
>fuck yeh an acutal challenge thus its way scarier
>realize i should have played it on hardcore the first time through and i would have enjpyed it 10 times more
>every time a game that im looking forward to comes out i have an inner crisis at the difficulty selection screen
>i kick ass at the earlier games in the series so maybe i should play it on hard for my first run through
>but maybe the devs realise that all the fans have gotten good at it and just made the game harder and thus hard might be too hard
>start playing normal
>its fucking easy
>no the challenge its gonna get harder just keep playing
>beat the game without feeling challenged
Should i just make it a rule that every new game i play i should always do the first run on hard/hardcore/whatever is harder than normal?
It's possible to just run past the final area with the g-adult. It's really tricky but you just hug the hedge on the right side. Probably requires a whole bunch of luck though.
>but I'm not implying it is at all.
Yes, you were.
"Git gud" is a literal statement claiming that the game would be somehow "too hard" for the player.
Similarly, you completely ignore and don't even try to debunk the original posts' point : zombie staggering is very random.
>the game gives you more than enough to deal with everything.
Maybe if you're playing on Standard and on A route.
But when the RNG decides to be a bitch on B, on HC, shit just becomes ridiculous, namely very early on.
I know. I've almost done it several times. My problem is this though:
>get great start, making it into RPD without taking a single lick of damage
>fail every time to juke Mr.X, end up eating a WOMP sandwhich and eating shit into orange
>try my best to save my herb mix for the E3F stair zombie
>always end up getting back grab from behind and having to use it early
>if I move too quick ahead of Mr. X, he teleports to the W2F stairwell like an asshole, and it turns into a bunch and grab fest as I try to squeeze through to the showers
>end up eating shit in the courtyard to the exit
OR:
>get shit ass grabs or get nicked by the dogs in sewers, forcing me to herbmix early
>do fucking great, but by the time i get to the zombie leading up to E3F, im orange, now in red after eating the bite, and eat shit in the courtyard
It's annoying. I have to take breaks and return when I'm not stressed and aggravated.
>but maybe the devs realise that all the fans have gotten good at it and just made the game harder and thus hard might be too hard
I face the same dilemma often but c'mon, when has this ever happened?
yeah, if you like challenges you might as well just play on the hardest difficulty in every game
>"Git gud" is a literal statement claiming that the game would be somehow "too hard" for the player.
>"too hard" for the player.
are you listening to yourself? are you saying anyone who tells the player of webm related to get better is saying d44m is a hard game?
>zombie staggering is very random.
not if you use any of the other weapons the game gives you besides the starting pistol. it becomes extremely reliable at that point.
>Maybe if you're playing on Standard and on A route.
>But when the RNG decides to be a bitch on B, on HC, shit just becomes ridiculous, namely very early on.
wrong. I'll even post a webm of just gunpowder the game gives you on a HC B scenario.
>I beat it after getting chainlocked by grabs at the end and barely slipping by with critical health
That's how my very first Hunk run went as well. Getting pummeled many times by enemies and running out of ammo actually HELPS with the playthrough, as the auto-balance score tanks down and makes you near invincible. On Hardcore, a single zombie chomp usually takes you straight to Danger, but here I was getting taken down by nearly every corpse on the lower walk-way of the front yard, and still made it out alive.
>Should i just make it a rule that every new game i play i should always do the first run on hard/hardcore/whatever is harder than normal?
I've tried to do just that for over a decade now, inspired by STALKER's famous Master difficulty (and the general lack of challenge in nu-era games), but it just isn't always a reliable, enjoyable mindset. Some games are clearly designed to be played in a very specific way these days, with "Hard" -modes usually being unbalanced bullshit for masochists, ranging from CoD's infinite grenade spams to complete removal of essential gameplay elements the game otherwise relies on.
I went straight to Hardcore on DE2 since I'd already read of no other difficulty having ink-ribbons + lower modes even using auto-saves (!), but I'd be hard pressed to call it a well balanced mode. Doable, yes, but it shows that Standard was the main dish in the devs' head.
>go on Nexus
>nothing but lewd mods and reshades
>go on ModDB
>nothing but cringehard tattoo 420 weed bandana mods
>only mod bothering to fix Claire's classic outfit is being done by some guy using the Darkside Chronicles outfit, and is ruining it by turning her hair a retarded red color.
>also replaces a non-classic outfit and doesn't yet include the no-vest model
FUCK.
Would love to see an original Mr. X coloration mod tho.
and this is not even including all the extra ammo and defensive items I still had.
If you get messed up early on before getting into the RPD then just restart. Mr. X's punch hitbox is really forgiving. I think you can basically hug his left arm as he swings and you won't get hurt. If you wait too long after baiting out a swing he will push you back. It's possible to get grabbed by the first zombie on the W2F stairs with Mr. X there and then run past just fine. Personally I couldn't get the timing for it down well but it is possible. You can slash the E3F zombie a bit and down him without getting hurt but it might have to do with higher framerates dealing more knife damage. Courtyard is a mess all it boils down to is having enough knives to use as defense (I think I had 6 by the time I got to it and managed to get through).
I'll be giving it more shots this week. I need a break. I just finished wrapping up my records from the campaign and Ghost DLC today. Good shit. Unlocking the cat ears felt great. Shame those masks can't be equipped in the campaigns though.
>are you saying anyone who tells the player of webm related to get better is saying d44m is a hard game?
Nice little strawman and topic switch attempt.
DEmake2 uses randomized systems that make the gameplay unpredictable and thus very unenjoyable at worst. That is all that was said early on, and you threw a hizzy fit. It's OK to like bad games, but remaining blind for its flaws is just insane.
>not if you use any of the other weapons the game gives you besides the starting pistol.
You are stuck with your starting pistol(s) for a very long while at worst, especially on your first playthroughs and on Hardcore. Sure, once you play the game's both scenarios once, you know what to prioritize and rush toward that gun locker key like a raging bull, but that again is not a realistic representation of the first-timer's experience.
>I'll even post a webm of just gunpowder the game gives you on a HC B scenario.
Again, if you do not have tools for the job, you do not have tools for the job.
Unironically the first half of Cop station as Leon B on HC was the most challenging part of the whole game for me, since even the so-called "high power" .45 did jack shit to zombies, meaning I had to bait and dodge every single one from E-Hallway to main hall and beyond, with zeds from the Library later on pouring into the hall as well on top of Mr Fedora chasing me.
>finished the game as Leon four days after the release
>I really liked it so I try to play as Claire
>after the first save room I close the game because of pure boredom
>it's been collecting dust in my cabinet ever since
Why does Claire lack so much soul?
>At max rank a zombie bite puts you into danger from dark green full health
What the fuck.
Tofu seems too luck dependent. I thought 4th survivor was too luck dependent too.
>mfw I first played it as Claire
>mfw I didn't enjoy Leon as much
You don't like it because it doesn't have Ada simple as.
I got a friend getting this weird graphical error whenever he watches the camera feed for the first time entering RPD. He says it persists even after he reloads a save no matter how far back (like the streets). It flashes to black anytime Leon speaks in the cutscene. I told him to verify game files but I don't know if that will remedy it or if it's something else.
I'm the opposite way. Typically my brain tells me to play on hard, but I end up getting frustrated and angry at the game when I start to die a lot.
This is what it looks like during a cutscene.
>Nice little strawman and topic switch attempt.
how is that a strawman? you're saying that anyone saying someone needs to git gud automatically makes the game hard. that's dumb as shit.
>You are stuck with your starting pistol(s) for a very long while at worst
you get new weapons within ~10 min of the game. you are literally talking out of your ass.
>Again, if you do not have tools for the job, you do not have tools for the job.
but you do. even given a variance for a couple of rounds given gunpowder combos that right there is enough to take on every boss in the game and more.
Check for updates. Uninstall / reinstall game. Update graphical drivers, or downgrade to the last working set of drivers.
The first half of the game is definitely harder than the second half. The only actually challenging part after the police station is probably that section you need to walk in to get the king/queen chess pieces. Even then, it's easy if you have enough ammo to deal with the things
It's pretty fucking strong. I was a bit late to the party and started with 3 when it came out. When I got to play 2 afterwards I was able to cuck Mr. X with the knife and it was hilarious. He just couldn't hold a candle to Nemesis.
I reeeeeally like pursuer mechanics and tjis remake does a lot to close the gap between X and Nemesis. Mr. X actually felt like a threat so that was nice.
Also his theme is amazing, as is Leon's escape, Hunk, and Tofu.
The one complaint I have is the REST of the music being better in the original game, but that's it really.
Has me very excited for R3make.
>What the fuck.
It's true though. I thought that was the default for Hardcore, as that's how it always went for me.
Turns out I was just TOO GUD at the game, meaning any little poke Danger'd me.
Didn't help that I avoided F-Aid sprays out of my old habits too.
go into the .ini file and change the setting to this "UseVendorExtention=Disable" try that out.
System specs and ingame settings?
This seems like something an older GPU could suffer off.
Try changing the DirectX mode to 11 and Color space to RPG.
Can we get some extra modes that are actually fun. 4th survivor was the only good one
What's the file name and where is it located?
I enjoy Leon more as a character, but the Claire story arc is more interesting
It isn't. The two biggest flaws that I can think of off the top of my head at 1AM in the morning are:
1] B scenarios suck ass. Outside of like the first 10 minutes in the police station they all play pretty much the exact same. They're also blatantly unfinished since you can find notes from the other character left inconspicuously at locations where they should've interacted. Doesn't even make sense how the other character gets through the police station since nothing except the first shutter door is changed. Lazy.
2] Adaptive difficulty. This is a meme through and through. There's really zero reason to have this other than to pander to casuals who suck at the game. At max rank you do something like 40% less damage to enemies. That's a load of horse shit.
Close, but no cigar.
If only they had worked on B route more, it would be perfect.
The boss fights have so far been easy af on normal. What am i in for now that im playing on hardcore? I just got to the point (im doing clare A) where mr X picks up the helicopter.
>fucken b scenario was such a rehash
>can we make a petition to get rid off adaptive difficutly in re3 make?
Hunk just naturally has a huge health pool/high armor in 4th survivor
It takes 2 bites to even take him out of green, and thats without the red-blue armor boost, guy knows how to dress for a mission.
Yeah, the start of the B scenario is good, but after you get to the sewers the play throughs are virtually identical, except for the final boss. Which is lame.
It's not keep telling yourself that.
it's located wherever you installed your game.
file is RE2_config or something close to that. open with notepad and change the text from ="enable" to "disable"
>first game was RE3
>intended for my dad to get me 2 after enjoying reading all the report files from the game on IGN as a kid, but ended up with 3 instead
>fucking loved it
>end up getting RE2 DS Edition
>play through it countless times
>eventually play 1
>enjoy and respect it for what it is, despite it having been rough as balls for me at the time
>got RE4 when it came out on NGC, have so many great memories playing it with my best friend at the time over the summer
>both spent an entire weekend trying to beat Professional Mode
>spent hours up at night seeing who could last longest on Water World
It's one of those few franchises I feel lucky to have been able to experience growing up. Glad they learned their lesson with RE5 and 6. RE7 was a respectable step back in the right direction, and the reception RE2make is getting, atop community demand for a RE3make makes me very happy and confident that RE8 can be a decent game once it comes around.
>you're saying that anyone saying someone needs to git gud automatically makes the game hard
Yes and no. What you are implying that a player sucking ass at babby's first Doom game is the same as people getting pissed because of randomized enemy health and damage values, that have been proven.
>you get new weapons within ~10 min of the game
No you do not, unless you're speed running using some perfect-run Youtube video as a guide.
>there is enough to take on every boss in the game and more.
No one is talking about bosses. We are talking about zombies and their inconsistent behavior.
One moment they take entire M1911 mags of full-accuracy shots to the skull or feet without going down, while the other the heads blow up with a lucky pot-shot.
But speaking of bosses, G4 is just literal bullet-sponge BS.
>It takes 2 bites to even take him out of green,
He went straight to "Caution" in my game early on.
Then suddenly it was only light-yellow "Fine", with occasionally no shown damage at all.
I want Mercs or Raid mode. New areas. New weapons.
>>implying the game is "hard" on any way
it's harder than the original, you tryhard söyboi
just less punishing
Bosses on hardcore are more or less the same danger wise but they become major ammo checks. Hoarding ammo and being efficient with it kind of works against you. Normal enemies remain the same.
We kill the batman.
The thing about Adaptive Difficulty is that it's nice when it works well. The problem in RE2 though is that I think it's just tuned a little too crazily, and needs to be dialed back a bit.
Don't misunderstand, I enoyed 1 and 2 as well, but the pursuer mechanic in 2 was objectively weaker than 3.
>Punished for playing good
I finally get the git gud meme and i'm bitch slapped in the face for gitting gud! LOL irony!
REmake2 actually plays more like RE4 than the classic games and that's a good thing.
Save flashes for Mr. X / Vine Zombie grabs.
Save ammo where you can.
Be conservative with powders. Save em for bosses.
Knife DPS is silly sick if you have decent framerate and can juke some of the bosses.
Save Lightning Hawk for bosses. Save Uzi for chewing down bosses / Vine Zombies.
>people getting pissed because of randomized enemy health and damage values, that have been proven.
the game gives you a ton of ways to take out enemies reliably. you not using them is just being stubborn or being bad.
>No you do not,
yes you do. you don't even have to speedrun to get the armory key and backtrack to the lockers. you are talking out your ass.
>No one is talking about bosses. We are talking about zombies and their inconsistent behavior.
if I can save that much ammo and gotten through the entire game. they give you way more than you need. nothing to do with bosses on it's own, it just hits the point home that you don't need to worry about RNG when you have that much fucking damage you can throw their way. you suck ass and are just shitposting to save face.
>452296598
Nope
Agreed. I had fun with it and it's a solid game but holy hell it doesn't even compare to the original or the first REmake.
That fixed it thanks buddy now my friend can enjoy this game. Or not he tends to get really mad at games but completes them anyways.
Not an argument, sweatie.
Neither is yours cupcake.
Knife is still strong on consoles. Not straight up busted exactly but super viable. Sttill stunlocks lickers and eats half of G1's health.
actually, he argued that 2 games played alike. he made an argument, to which you had no rebuttal.
Why respond to a non-argument with one? Burden of proof and all.
It's RE4 with the enemy danger and item scarcity of the originals. RE4 you could find ammo everywhere. In RE2make, you can literally run out of ammo.
It's great.
I'm excited to see how RE2make goes. I'm hoping for a sort of semi-open city sort of deal. Possibly have separate uptown / downtown areas that are big and open-ended, containing key locations that you return to here and there, but tighten it up a bit so that it's not too open if that makes sense. Enemies need to remain a threat, and not just be able to be circled around constantly.
All the while, Nemesis steadily roams the map searching for you, using the same combat noise mechanic to lure him. Key moments of course will spawn him.
...
no worries. just so you know a quick google search should have given you the same result.
here was my screen when I had it happen to me.
are you anons trolling me about the knife? i honestly havent used it as anything but a defensive weapon so far. what are its base damage stats (or can some post the graph showing its stats depending on your current score)?
burden of proof is literally the dumbest shit ever and he contributed more to the topic than the person who said "NO U." we're here to discuss not prove, and you fucking brainlets will just continue to shitpost rather than actually putting forth meaningful opinions or facts.
RE2 blending RE4 and the classic games is why it succeeded. Strong emphasis on puzzles and resource management with the updated action mechanics make for a great game. If it was just like the old games it would've been shit.
>Fighting lickers ever
Waste of time and ammo, even knives
>the game gives you a ton of ways to take out enemies reliably
Couple hours into it, yes.
Again, before you leave the cop station, you are at the mercy of your puny starting weapons and limited ammo pool. It also does not help that at this point everyone's going "just pop 'em in the leg or hed & run! :^)", failing to realize that even that may be easier said than done on HC. You'd also be surprised how big pain in the ass a pile of legless crawlers can be in tight spaces, more so without a Knife.
>you don't even have to speedrun to get the armory key and backtrack to the lockers
I literally missed the Armory key on my B route until I'd unlocked the secret passage to the underground. I had to backtrack and look it up as I knew I'd be fucked without the shotgun in the Birkin fight.
>if I can save that much ammo and gotten through the entire game. they give you way more than you need.
No, they give you just enough if you're lucky. Not enough if you are TOO GOOD at the game on Harddcore.
I failed G4 half a dozen times simply because I lacked ammo to do so initially, and the first time I got it, it was because of my very last defensive hand grenade.
>lol you just suck ass because a randomized auto-balance system makes your life hard for no reason! :^)
t.(You).
Go shill your shitty games somewhere else.
Even on the base One it's viable for boss fights. You just have to know when to step back and use guns and go a bit out of your way to pick up items.
I think a standard item randomizer would be better than adaptive difficulty. If you're doing really poorly the game can throw you a small but still helpful amount of extra ammo and herbs while otherwise being unobtrusive and keeping playthroughs varied. Getting good at different strategies and making quick decisions would be more rewarded in that system rather than plain memorization.
I don't have any graphics to display it's effective DPS in relation to it's standing DPS along with it's increase in relation to your FPS, but it does stupid damage.
I watched a speedrunner knife 5th form G on the train in around a minute or so.
...
>RE2 blending RE4 and the classic games is why it succeeded.
it's nothing like either one of them tho'. It's more like reskinned Revelaitons 2 / Dead Space.
>Strong emphasis on puzzles
Puzzling and adventure aspects are literally diminished and pushed to the background in the demake.
>If it was just like the old games it would've been shit.
No, it would've been a fucking masterpiece, and proven zoomer homos wrong once again.
Meh. Personally I just like having them out of the way. Nothings more annoying than reentering a room and finding a licker sitting on the floor right in the way of where you need to go. Zombies can be lured. Lickers can too, but it's riskier.
>It does not help that it lacks half of the replay-value and atmosphere of the original game.
okay, now this deserves at least one reply. here you are user
I don't have the hard numbers on me but I was told to use it on hardcore G1 to save ammo. I ate a pipe to the face once but survived, and walked away with stupid amounts of ammo for my S+ run.
On PC it's INCREDIBLY rdiculous I'm told as knife da mage is tied to framerate. Unlock your FPS and melt the game.
That said, load up a save, knife a licker. Easy stunlock, goes down in like 10 hits on PS4.
Knife the fucking lickers problem solved.
no, you don't need to being playing on a 120fps PC to have the knife be decent. even on consoles you can stunlock lickers to death. you might not be soaring through boss fights in record time but it's still a lot better than you seem to think it is.
>Couple hours into it, yes.
if it takes you a couple of hours to get the shotgun/GL then you have no place in saying that others think the game is too hard. you are terrible.
You know, I'm not sure if anyone's tested it, but I wouldn't doubt that adaptive difficulty affects the amount of ammo you pick up when finding ammo laying around. It's never a set amount. Same for when you create ammo.
It really depends. Leon has a lot of problems dealing with lickers and doesn't really solve it until you get the magnum. Also if you fail to figure out how to get the shotgun/launcher early you'll have a bad time.
452297126
Not even worth another (You)
You are the minority. The majority of the people who played it loves it. Sorry Michael. Just take the L.
second part was meant for
I feel this as well. Damn shame about B scenarios.
>it would've been a fucking masterpiece
Is that why RE games kept selling less and less until RE4 revitalized and saved the franchise? RE2make has flaws, but it's a great game because it manages to blend old and new seamlessly.
its not but its still very well done and so far the best RE gameplay weve had
>can't even handle the truth
reflect on what I've said and you might grow as a person
Lately I've had this fanfic for an Elza dlc in my mind
>Takes place just before RE2make
>Elza escapes Raccoon University on her motorcycle
>but crashes
>finds Sherry and helps her escape the Birkin house
>offers to escort her to the RPD

What the fuck are you even babbling about?
The 2019 game literally trivialized the A/B campaigns into literal same shit, removed Extreme Battle, removed Arrange mode, and even made alternative clothes into main-menu equippable options rather than shit you gotta still earn in-game early on. Next to no new content does not help either.
Christ, it shows that you zoomers have never played a single classic RE.
so are PUBG and Fortnite the greatest games ever made since they both had like a billion players at one point?
Also, I'd love to see citations.
probably one of the smartest implementations of adaptive difficulty and fair RNG I've seen implemented in any game.
The RNG elements are enough to keep you on your toes and make things interesting, but not bullshit. Same with adaptive difficulty
lickers don't take too many shotgun hits if unless you're standing far away or not centering shots. it also doesn't help people's argument that there's only one licker in the main game that you can't sneak past. and it's really early in the game.
>8 shots point blank
Sure PFFT!!!!
452297591
>He's still at it
It's 4 shells to kill. Might be more or less if adaptive difficulty kicks in, but I never bothered to test beyond that.
Also FYI you can sneak past every licker in the game. git gud
>nuclear noot noot
at least you basically keep him locked in place for the entire fight.
>8 shots point blank
do I need to make a new webm?
Aim for the legs. You dont even need to de-limb them. On average it take two shots to the knee to stun them momentarily and you can juke by
Go for it
>eternally seething
It's a flask i know.
>every licker in the game
the one that spawns after you set the C4 has always aggro'd me no matter what. that's the only one I've never been able to sneak past.
give me a few min then.
It does, but it's only a handful of bullets or a single shell from what I've seen. That's why I think the randomizer would be better. If you're doing poorly a box of handgun bullets can be switched out with a box of shells, and if you're doing really good you get something like a gunpowder.
Who has best weapons for kill?
Which scenario as well?
>What the fuck are you even babbling about?
>The 2019 game literally trivialized the A/B campaigns into literal same shit, removed Extreme Battle, removed Arrange mode, and even made alternative clothes into main-menu equippable options rather than shit you gotta still earn in-game early on. Next to no new content does not help either.
>Christ, it shows that you zoomers have never played a single classic RE.
LOL

>if adaptive difficulty kicks in
>adaptive difficulty good
Glad i modded that shit out LOL
k
>Is that why RE games kept selling less and less until RE4 revitalized and saved the franchise?
Each version of RE4 literally sold LESS than the original trilogy's games on PS1.
The whole "RE was totally dying, bro!" is the sad excuse meme Capcum came up after the REmake and Zero did not sell as well as they'd hopen for, failing to realize that they'd shot themselves to the leg by making the games Nintendo exclusives, alienating their core target audience.
This was further proven after the release of REmake HD, which sold so well that it startled the studio's execs. Not only did they push out RE0 HD in record time and turn their initial tech-demo into RE7, but they also finally dared to declare Remake2 project to boot. A project that was literally nothing like what they promised and what fans asked for.
tl;dr: RE never needed revitalization. Zoomer cux just seethe when a game is not an easy peasy shooty-poopy pew pew title you can brain-off rush through, as proven by the fags asking for a mod that'd remove Mr.X and inventory limits.
>it's a great game because it manages to blend old and new seamlessly.
It's nothing but new and new, period.
we've seen this exact same shit numerous times in past few years, but only this title gets praised to heavens merely because of its stolen valor name.
He seems upset.
Oh I forgot about that one. Yeah it's total bullshit designed as a "gotcha!" moment.
>probably one of the smartest implementations of adaptive difficulty and fair RNG I've seen implemented in any game.
Please shoot yourself.
It's a big toss up. With Leon you get the shotgun and deagle, but Claire gets the smg and flame rounds can kill multiple enemies.
Holy fuck, Michael himself is here ITT.
I'd go with Leon. You can probably get 30 zombies alone in the RPD with nothing but the knife and handgun.
he didn't like the fact that the game has been getting high praise from most people
My shit opinion on how it could've been slightly better:
>have the streets segments in the middle put back into the beginning
>put the helicopter crash back into a cutscene
>do away with the needless Kendo drama
>expand Sherry's segment by making the orphanage bigger, and using the Kendo daughter model as an ever-present kid-zombie threat while also trying to sneak out
remove G-types from sewers, replace with spiders (seriously, what the fuck was with all the blue herbs if nothing else in the game poisoned you? Aside from the power up)
>expand the lab to be more similar to the original
>make G-type a mini boss in the lab again
>make A/B scenarios unique again
>restrict Mr. X to B scenario for both characters
>bring back his intro scene
>modify Tyrant to not just be a gored out Mr. X. It was cool seeing that he mutated.
>bring back the super lickers
Moth boss can fuck off. But could probably just be brought back as a B-scenario thing I guess. I didn't hate how RE2make did the gator either. Fighting it normally was dumb and annoying, and most people just killed it with the gas tank anyhow.
>Each version of RE4 literally sold LESS than the original trilogy's games on PS1.
But combined they sold more than any other entry. And this still doesn't change the fact that the series was on a rapid decline in sales after RE2.
I haven't even bothered with these. Is there any incentive to doing them aside from being on a leaderboard?
i see lol
>RE3make
>Standard Mode, Nemesis doesn't drop weapon parts, but can drop aid items.
>Hardcore, he drops weapon parts and items, allowing you to obtain more powerful pistol / shotgun earlier on
Please.
Nah, the postgame content being all speedrunning shit blocks it from being perfect
This i use a trainer to beat that shit dlc.
>strong-ass rapid fire short-range shotty and a high-crit chance pistol
>mfw
Tbh the pistol was only okay, but would likely fare better with how RE2 worked. The western shotty was just fun to fuck with.
lmao who dafuq is that faggot?
Also whats up with william berkin in the first boss fight? did he acutally scream help me while i was fighting him or did i imagine that?
Claire.
Just suck his dick the man hasn't been laid in years!
>Magnum / Grenade Launcher are still randomized at the RPD
Fuck you bird! don't give me shit I'll fuck your shit up cunt fucker!
i dont recall that being randomised. I think it was more like in normal you find the g launcher there but in hard you get the magnum there.
I think he does say that.
Shit, was it? I don't even remember. I legit haven't played RE3 since like 2002. I do remembered I played it to fucking death though.
>G-types from sewers, replace with spiders
>muh spooders
Adult G-s poison you.
I think G-Embryos do too...but ive never been touched by one of those lil faggots.
small chance of posion.
>REmake 2? More like REmake 2 hours long!
6 is the best Resident Evil. Best gameplay, best characters, best whacky ass RE storytelling.
dumb bird poster
the spiders were fucking nightmare fuel in remake 1 and 0. way scarier than generic blob of flesh monster thing.
>imagine sneaking along at walking speed all quiet like so as to not alert a licker/mr x
>fucking huge spider makes no noise while it moves so sneaks up on you
>drops down from the ceiling and now bites you
>the sewer had pretty high ceilings to so that would make it easier for them to be more sneaky breeky
>also a boss fight with the black widow from the first game could make for some cool one shot death animations where you get wrapped in webbing and just stored away as a snack along with other writhing zombies corpses
Love it, hardcore mode feels like true Resident Evil. Bravo on Mr. X. Otherwise don't like how they breeze past things that were built up more steadily in the original (Birkin, X, even the Lickers). Also based on this and 7 it's obvious they like to stick to a limited number of enemy types. Ivy's get turned into humanoids, and Lickers and Dogs are kept to a minimum. Feels like they just like doing humanoid enemies.
>The 2019 game literally trivialized the A/B campaigns into literal same shit, removed Extreme Battle, removed Arrange mode, and even made alternative clothes into main-menu equippable options rather than shit you gotta still earn in-game early on. Next to no new content does not help either.
>Christ, it shows that you zoomers have never played a single classic RE.
youre not wrong but unfortunately the way you wrote it will cause people to not take you seriously
I just wish if they were going to keep the incredible cheese / tropey / yikes logic of the original they should have kept it as a fixed camera angle too. With so much freedom to move as a TPS it could have been "realismed" up a bit. Ada pulls out a fucking Deus Ex Machina magical wand after needing Leon to find a keycard that she could have just hacked.
what the deal with aidas hacker gun thing? i mean the game is set in the late 90s. it just didnt feel appropriate for the times.
I've been scraping by with leon, the 3rd birkin fight feels like an ammo check. He won't die :(
I couldn't find the dongle for the desert eagle gun in the rpd
Oh fuck, I forgot Extreme Battle was a thing.
I'd really be into that as DLC, but only if they don't make it the stupid speedrun shit that all the other stuff has been so far.
its not that hard to find...
Claire objectively has the best campaing
Use whatever ammo you need. Leon's final boss fight is on a timer and Claire's, after adaptive difficulty 2orks its magic will let you kill it.
The game is dedigned as such that you csn kill a boss with all the ammo found in a boss room. Plus like I said Leon's final boss is timer-based that you can only moderately spped up with damage. The rocket launcghr is guaranteed to show up after 2-3 minutes either way.
Been wanting an epic RE where all the characters come together to put the screws to Umbrella and this was kind of the half-hearted version of that. Had fun playing it with a friend, but that's about it.
Works*
Fuck I'm drunk.
But this game won't let you get trapped, it will adjust damage accordingly.
"Oh some stovks lost value and Umbrella fell apart because of it. Umbrella's big finale!"
Fuck RE4.
RE4 was good, tho.
>I think it has to do with the time limit.
It's because you're autistic. Just ignore the timer and go at it at your own pace.
Well I don't think I'll ever finish this game now. G4 Birkin seems to require more ammo than I have available to me, even factoring in a goddamn minigun.
>I hate how random stunning zombies is
At first I hated how you deal with the zombies in RE2R but after a while I realized what direction the developers were going for. It's no longer a case of killing everything, you now have options to stun and disable on top of critical head shots. To balance these extra options the zombies are built like tanks making them a bigger threat to what we've been used to these past couple of decades and make the horror genre fresh again. It's quite amazing that for the 3rd time the Resident Evil series is pushing horror games in a new direction.
spark shot fucks his shit up
Only shoot tge eyes, you have enough ammo. No eyes, no shhot.
No it wasn't fuck off
Birkin yells "Help Me" and screams for Sherry
truly terrified me
>No it wasn't fuck off
I bet it would if I still had ammo for it. Acid rounds in particular I'm kicking myself for not having any of.
I figured out that approach pretty early. I even started relegating my onslaughts to when he's staggered after a charge I'd baited him into, and never otherwise. Still keep running out.
>save up ammo by conserving it and only going for leg shots
>game rewards me by making my guns shoot confetti
Thanks, adaptive difficulty.
HAHAHA WOW NIGGER NOPE RE4 IS GREAT FUCK OFF MODERN WHORE!
>mfw finally unloaded all those magnum rounds on Mr. X in Leon A and ending it with a rocket
Based Lightning Hawk
>instead of being an unstoppable Scenario B surprise
Now, original Mr. X was far from an unstoppable force.
You gotta have ammo for somethimg else. The game won't put you in an unwinnable position, even adjusting bullet damage to assure as such. You gotta be sitting on something.
I started with 3 and CV but try again faggot
My only issue with the game is how random zombie hit stun tends to be.
5 shots to the face and no stagger is annoying as fuck when it happens
Maybe if the game thinks those 3 SMG rounds I have in an item box are silver bullets
The game is pretty forgiving with bosses and ammo. The G final stage on scenario B, even automatically ends as soon as you run out of ammo.
>but I'd be hard pressed to call it a well balanced mode
How is Hardcore poorly balanced?
OH NO NO NO HAHAHA TRASH FAGGOT!
Use 'em.
And when he falls to 2 legs, he automatically dies in 30 seconds, just fyi.
Everything.
lmao what happens if only bring one bullet
Well damn. I knifed him down to that in one of my attempts. Don't think there were even 30 seconds left on the timer, though. I must be mad inaccurate with the minigun or something, even though I turned HUD back for accuracy. Gotta get those sound cues
>even automatically ends as soon as you run out of ammo.
Not true
post a screen or a webm of you item box there must something there you arent mentioning or notcing
you die
There it is. That part's on a timer. You can do more da mage to make it end in 20 or 10 seconds, but at that point the fight is over in no more than 30 seconds.
Get to that point again and just run around, provided you have more than 30 secs.
lmfao i just ended the first fight with william with a flash grenade
its the ultimate lost-touch-wiht-current-gen boomer game
This belongs to Mr. X

>play it on hardcore mode
>start to regret it when I realize I have to use a zillion bullets just to kill a zombie and even then they don't really die
>persist
>end up having one of the best Gayming experiences of the last few years
I can't believe they actually saved the series
You can run through most of the rooms without getting grabed/using knifes. Just experiment to see where you can slip by zombies and where you can't. Trust me you can walk past them in the rooms where it seems impossible. Can provide few examples If you wish
>no bikini Mr. X
>no lingerie Mr. X
>no pubic hair Mr. X
>no panties+tanktop Mr. X
>no bottomless Mr. X
>no oppai Mr. X
>git gud
>adaptive difficulty tells the game to immediately fuck you over
This is level-scaling tier.
>>start to regret it when I realize I have to use a zillion bullets just to kill a zombie and even then they don't really die
that's the case on all difficulties. Hardcore doesn't really change anything regarding the enemies health, it just ramps up the dynamic difficulty from the start, limits your inventory and gives you ink ribbons
Only for those last 30 seconds
Play on Hardcore if you don't want adaptive difficulty
>tfw on second playthrough and remember one of those rooms
>it's barely populated and the zombros just stand around
It's like the game is insulting me with the adaptive difficulty
This. Until R3make
actually that is Leon's property
Claire is sleeping
It's even more random on HC.
adaptive dificulty is there on hardcore, it is the 4 hardest possible ranks. But 3 out of 4 of those ranks will have you going from max health to danger in one zombie bite
Who fucking cares, she's hot as fuck. Pubes are only a minor consideration vs overall hotness
What was the track leon was listening too in the intro
she needs pubes and slight tanlines
Do you get to play as other characters other than Leon and Claire?
Saudade, it was the ending song in the B scenario.
>Waking up next to Claire every morning
>Seeing her smile after you give her a good morning kiss
>Getting to hear her say that she loves you
they would be an improvement (if groomed), sure, but to say "why bother" because they aren't there is just silly.
And I agree tanlines can be amazing. But they should be on an alt skin for it
You get 4th Survivor, and then 4th Survivor (but as Tofu), and then 4th Survivor (but as a different Tofu), and then 4th Survivor (but as another different Tofu) and so on.
Well, i did expect REMAKE to be something more like this:
youtube.com
But, it's still great
>tfw finally beat No Way Out
Outside of the frustration due to getting fucked over by RNG, it was pretty goddamn satisfying to beat.
sorry, i am an idiot, wrong link

WHEN THE FUCK ARE WE GETTING TEKKEN X STREET FIGHTER!?

Why do people like this Benny Hill simulator?
Is Leon autistic?
>Alligator wasn't a boss just a running event
the fight in the remake isn't great but are you going to sit here and pretend that "press button, shoot one bullet" was a better encounter
Yeah, he even compensated you with ammo.
I'd gladly marry Claire and start a family with her. I wish I was Leon.
>ywn blow a raspberry on her tummy
>It's more like reskinned Revelaitons 2
where were the melee attacks
Guys is the flamethrower at all useful ? I'm at NEST but idk if I'll need it
It makes short work of ivy zombies, that's for sure.
Yes. It fucking murders the Ivy enemies and it's useful against G3 too.
FINALLY
FINALLY
THANK YOU
ADDRESS, NOW
t. chris
Good for taking care of the Ivy's.
It completely melts Birkin 3, as far as I've seen.
it is good vs G3
IIRC it can still burn his heart (of eyeballs) even after he closes up the armor covering it. Could be wrong though
Now that the dust has settled, can we agree that the Ivies in the remake are 20 times better than they used to be? They're actually scary and a threat here.
is Leon voiced by Simon from Soma?
you can shoot their fucking legs off?!
It's an important part of the game's meta.
nigga you can cut a zombie in half with a gut shot from the shotgun. You can shoot a single foot off (takes less bullets) and it will make the zombie turn like 50% slower when it tries to grab you. Shoot off both feet and it has to crawl
HAHAHAHHAHAHAHAH
You can turn them into worms if you're really sadistic.
I love how they have totally different crawling animations and crawl speeds based on which limbs you cut off and which ones they still have
I don't get why this game was so incredibly praised. I played through it, I liked it, but I'd place it very close to The Evil Within 2. Sure, some people love it because they played the original and this is a great homage, but far from most players played the original. At most some people played RE4, which was a whole different beast. There is such an unfathomable hype concerning the RE franchise and I just don't get why. Just like BOTW being a Zelda game, had this game not been part of the RE franchise it would have recieved mediocre reviews and achieved a cult status.
>But combined they sold more than any other entry
Wow... a rehashed game sold mere couple mil more during a span of 10+ years than a single PS1 game within its first year! What an achievement.
yeah
But plant monsters in general are not very scary. They did the best they could though, and they're scary if only because they can 1-hit-kill you, and sometimes you just keep missing the orange bulbs as they spastically accelerate closer to you like FUCK
>can we agree that the Ivies in the remake are 20 times better than they used to be?
No. They're just lazy AF Regenerator wannabes with worse design.
this is racist.we needed more nigger zombies. or a special mega licker that retained its skin (that way we know it was a nigger and thus far more disgusting).
Flamer or flame rounds, they are plants
is the sparkshot acutally useful for anything? i beat the game on normal and didnt need it even once but now im playing it on hardcore and im guess im gonna have to use it to save bullets for my ther guns, so what does it work best for? and whats the easiest way to get past the young G faggots in the sewers on hardcore?
>complete perfection
>still no nude leon mod
not really but go off
I know that ya goof
It's just there are many situations (like in 4th survivor) where it is better and faster to just shoot one bulb of an ivy and then run past it while it is stunned for 5 seconds
>lazy
user i dont think u realise how much effort goes into modelling and animating the creatures. its the reason we dont have glorious spiders
you misspelled sherry
>you misspelled sherry
you misspelled Leon
It does amazing damage if you can actually fully charge it. It's pretty hard to pull off on most bosses.
Not that you fight that many at the point you get it, but it does work quite well on lickers.
how come we never see zombies attack each other? i mean their dumb as nails and hungry af so why arent they all just a having a fucking undead battle royal and chowing down?
does it do anything on plant niggers? those guys are my biggest concern moving forward
>452307505
The ivies in the original were hardly amazing enemies. They were literally just obstacles that blocked a couple of corridors.
There was nothing creepy or intriguing about them.
>does it do anything on plant niggers? those guys are my biggest concern moving forward
It stuns them when they get hit, and destroys all their bulbs (if you full charge), which puts them "unconscious" for a while. Not as permanent as flame rounds, but quite useful in a pinch.
>user i dont think u realise how much effort goes into modelling and animating the creatures
I do. I *am* a 3D artist / animator.
The design is shit, and does not take that long to replicate.
>it's the reason we don't have glorious spiders
No. It's only because the chink fucks who made this game couldn't be bothered to make any non-bipedal creatures besides the doggies.
I wish we'd seen spiders, but it really isn't that big a deal. There was like four total in the original?
>There was nothing creepy or intriguing about them.
They were creepy and intriguing as hell though. Bonus points for poison threat.
Again, they could've expanded upon their design and skills in the remake, but chose not to.
does using it on them effect adaptive difficulty if it hits them? or would it be better to try and save it for boss fights?
with all the shit their gonna reuse from this in the inevitable re 3 remake I hope they manage to put some effort into modelling new creatures. they better not skip the fucking hunters. I like to think by then we should have at least a total of twice as many enemy types.
you were 5, of course they were scary. come on, they look like silly tulips or something straight out of the Moomintrolls
go animate a big black cock into your ass
>it really isn't that big of a deal
It kinda is, especially when so many enemy types are now missing, and no new ones were added.
>There was like four total in the original?
Why do you people always use the original as the indicator for how many there would be in the remake, or how they'd behave? None of the existing foes act or look like anything like in 1998's RE2.
Also, there's some hints in the game that indicate Spoiders having been at least planned at some point. I'm almost certain that they just got lazy / ran out of time in the end, and just re-purposed the G-Adult into a common enemy with poison skill.
>does using it on them effect adaptive difficulty if it hits them? or would it be better to try and save it for boss fights?
From observing the adaptive difficulty memory values in cheatengine, it seems to take quite a while to increase the difficulty, but significantly less time to make the game easier. So you'll probably be fine regardless.
I always got a little shop of horrors vibe from the original ivies. It was pretty immersion breaking.
I like how the music that plays when they're around adds in the sounds from the Signal Modulator.
I liked them. Comic relief isn't necessarily a bad thing, and it added an element " what the actual fuck" to the lab.
>ORC outsold the outbreaks
this should be illegal
>you were 5
Nigga, I was already 10 when the first RE was released on the Playstation.
I still replay the games from time to time, and while the OG Ivys are not exactly a major threat (espec. without the BOW gas), their behavior is still creepy.
They could've expanded upon their design and behavior in so many ways in the remake. Imagine a swarm of literal ivies crawling towards you from a dark corridor, entangling your character, with a shambling plant monster slowly starting to close in towards you, like a spider towards a webbed prey.
things out of context can really add to the surreal and uneasiness even if they are somewhat goofy. The original creators knew what they did. Although, arguably, the whole plant situation itself is out of context from the rest of the game and does a pretty good job of twisting the expectations
>"That just means it's the better game, you nostalgic boomer!" :^)
guys i have an idea for a new nemesis design. lets have some cultural diversity faggotry and have a black nemesis. i unironically think this would be scarier.
>SEYMOUR bring me more blood
Sam Raimi should pen the dialogue. He's good at writing black characters.
When using the flash bang or knife as defensive weapon does it actually inflict a small amount of damage on the enemy or does it just stagger them?
also holy fuck lickers are hard on hardcore. just shoved an actual grenade (not flashbang) in ones mouth and it didnt fucking die.
How do you know the og nemesis wasn't black already.
You're sounding like a bigot
Great game, I was frustrated at first because of the animation priority and how unpredictable the zombies seem to be compared to RE4, but once I let go of my autism of having to do everything perfectly, I started to have lots of fun with the game.
The level design is what I like most about it, it's realistic and has those awesome shortcut loops.
Only other RE game I've played is RE4, I think this one's much better.
WE
It has shit atmosphere due to being overly dark and lacking music, plus it goes for the cinematic TLoU movie game approach which makes it boring to replay.
>niggasis
ay lmao
I NEED MORE DLCS GOD DAMMIT
Anyone got the puzzle cheat sheet on hand? Wanting to try speed running but I want to memorize the puzzles as much as possible.
He does have pretty dark skin.
It's weird how much I agree with the people who both love and hate this game. RE2make has odd choices and doesn't live up to its pure potential, but basically stands alone as a Triple-A surviva horror game.
Silent Hill is dead. Dino Crisis is dead. The rest of the 'genre' are barely games- run and hide simulators for streamers to react like idiots. Even the Evil Within probably won't be getting another sequel.
>cinematic TLoU movie game approach
in what way?
Damn Ada really likes ice cream
>Even the Evil Within probably won't be getting another sequel.
Is the sequel worth playing? I wasn't a massive fan of the first one.
What area is that?
Can somebody mod in Emma Kendo as a regular zombie? I wanna shoot some Emmas or is there no zombie animation for littler zombies?
I just finished Leon A / Claire B for the first time. I went Hardcore from the beginning. It felt perfectly balanced, but I definitely took my sweet time with them. But after surviving all that, now all of the extra survivor modes are kicking my ass. Should I really do the training first? Or just keep going?
Probably impossible due to the animation and skeleton differences.
fucking perfect tummola
but they managed to model swap claire with sherry
Most of these have been by swapping textures with the cheat engine tables or trainers. They also get very glitchy as the models are often the wrong size.
where did you take that screencap?
>Webm related
So they went and modeled an entire zombie for that one fucking 30 second cutscene but couldnt be bothered adding my giant spiders? gay
Tough childhood
Ada and Chris should get together, they've both clearly had a difficult time.
This is probably one of the few things I liked in RE6 - the ""lore"". Leon meets Chris, Chris meets Ada etc
youtube.com
Who cares about cutscenes in a fucking videogame?
Yea Forums likes this game now but give it a year or so, anybody still talking about it will be contrarian retards that have to shit on anything popular. Just like what happened with BotW.
Did these guys all split the price on a bag of undies from Walmart and divvy them up?
>complete perfection
>slightly above average gameplay
?
The Resident Evil 2 remake is the greatest game ever made.
What a slutty armpit
Lawd
That would be her normal face if it was an American game.
Intrusive walking sim sections, overly dramatic cut scenes and your character never shuts the fuck up as you play
When playing the OG resident evil did other anons feel it lost some of its scariness when they realised that what was happening story wise wasn't actually super natural?
Anyone?
Way too much influence from Naughty Dog shit. Shame Resident Evil once set the standard for this genre but now they copy others that copied them.
RE4 Leon was a cheeky cunt and he didn't say shit during gameplay.
No, that's what Silent Hill was for.
No, I always find biological/natural explanations superior to supernatural.
Though such things are not "realistic", they do feel more authentic.
It's definitely randomized, speedrunners always have to reset for it.
I like how reliably I can come online at this time of day everyday and find a REmake 2 thread with the usual shitters trying to get people to hate it. The 'demake' poster is the most obvious, being the only person who doesn't know what the word actually means.
If you want a cinematic masterpiece, play TLoU
I have some ideas.
No extraneous mechanics, everything is blatant and clear and with purpose.
Self-Contained level design, freedom to move, but not 50km of foliage.
Deliberate pacing, always engaged and never absent minded play.
Environmental detail and asset variety give every area it's own personality.
I agree with this and I'll still rank RE2 around a B- in rating. Classic Capcom doing Capcom things because they can never make the deadline.
what are you talking about? the game never implies anything supernatural or tries to lead you to that conclusion. even the original title gives away the fact that they're just mutants.
I never expected anything supernatural to begin with.
AYO HOLD UP EXPLAI THIS IMAGE
THE SPIDERS WERE CUT!!!
I don't think those things alone make up a movie game when you consider how much player input and decision making takes place during the gameplay. Each player will have a different experience. Metal Gear Solid is known for long cutscenes but is certainly not a 'movie game' series (except for 4) as there is a lot of opportunity for player input and experimentation.
It still takes itself way too seriously
I mean they even cut the spiders ffs
