probably but you're not going to see it coming

she looks like she fucks black guys

don't repost threads

Is Death Stranding going to be a stealth game?

Yes, as in the part of it that is a game will be hidden very well

not really tho

what if a sealth game where you're the rapist

siri did on at least one occasion

It desperatly needs a hit. HITMAN 2016 could have been that if they hadn't dropped the ball in pretty much category outside of the actual gameplay.
>came right after Absolution
>episodic
>always online
>elusive targets

give it a few years, things will cycle back around... maybe longer, depends on how long this F2P/BR craze lasts

Attached: degenerate witcher.jpg (283x447, 16K)

no unless they figure out a way to get normies to play it without ruining it for people who actually like stealth games

underated

Geralt would fuck siri in a second breh

They'll make a comeback right after MMO's and RTS games do

What about hitman?

i unironically think stealth games need a fast forward button so you dont have to wait for patrols as long

fpbp

She did. Three times.

i understand why you said this and in a very average game it wouldnt ruin anything but if this was the case in thief or the good splinter cells the atmosphere would be completely ruined

this reminds me of that one picture. Anyone have it?

I have faith Iron Mike is getting back in the saddle for at least one more go at fishman sam, just don't fuck it up Ubi

I heard she got positive for HIV but I've never been able to find a confirmation.

thats because you were lied to

i know its kind of a generic gruff dude style but for some reason his are some of my favourite VA performances in all of video games

All the pioneers of the stealth genre are gone. Thief is dead forever, Splinter Cell is MIA, Metal Gear is shit thanks to the hacks at Konami, and Tenchu has disappeared. But there is one exception: Hitman is still alive and kicking. And it's the only OG stealth franchise where the latest games kept their quality instead of being ultra casualized.

Doesn't mean she looks like it though.

>thats because you were lied to

Maybe, but it didn't come off as a bait post. She also retired pretty suddenly. She's also tweeted about AIDS healthcare before she stopped posting on twitter.

1) Hitman is still here;
2) Stop mixing a cool vg genre with degeneracy;
3) Stop reposting the same things.

are the latest hitmans really worth paying for? i remember absolution playing almost exactly like the worst splinter cell games in my mind and then they started releasing one in episodes so i just skipped it entirely

i agree, stealth is one of my favorite genres but I think it might help with getting a more mainstream audience. And you could always not use it so it doesn't really hurt.

I love the last two.
Not may favorites in the series, but they're pretty good. You do need to be connected to the internet to level up/unlock weapons/gadgets/etc. but once they're unlocked, I think you can play offline with them.
Also there are elusive targets every few weeks that are online only, that some people are pissed off about.

they really need to knock off that online only shit for a singleplayer game. If not for that and elusive targets I would have bought both of them by now.

hm, sounds irritating but also good for replayability
in checking the prices i also found out steam has a free trial for the 1st of the 2, definitely gona check it out now. thanks user

they are definitely both very good it just depends on how much the online only shit bothers you

I think they're legitimately the best games in the series, and yes I've played the classics.

If you're a hard stealth kind of person where you only like games like thief or splinter cell though you might not enjoy it that much. It's more of a sandbox/puzzle game where you think of creative ways to dispatch your targets or find the route for killing them in the way the game wants you to. It's extremely fun if you turn off all of the hints in game because the game actually gives you enough environmental information to find them yourself.

There's also the option to play it more traditionally stealthy but it's extremely punishing compared to most games and it's more about trial and error when played that way.

How do you sell endless cosmetics for a genre where the whole point is not being seen?
When you can answer that question the genre will make a comeback.

you copy the banner system from Apex with a spies v mercs style teambased game that shows off the cosmetics of the winners to the lobby. Make daylight maps if you have to, make the spies do some actual work to keep hidden. slap in lootboxes, season passes and a "hardcore" esports scene with corporate shills on twitch

And bundle it with a real old style SC campaign. there, I made you $$$ ubi

Stop being a faggot.
OP's perfect mix of stealth and porn has resulted in the best stealth threads we've had in months.

>is there any way they can make a comeback?
Yeah, but it's pretty unlikely.

The AAA market is unlikely to ever dedicate the resources required to make a pure stealth game of the calibre of Chaos Theory ever again simply because not enough drooling fucktard normies would buy it vs the garbage that is Wildlads, AssCreed, FartCry etc and even hybrids like Dishonored flopped.

The Styx devs will probably continue to improve, but even they'll be lucky to ever match the worst of Splinter Cell, and nowhere near Thief etc

Hitman 2016/2 are fucking outstanding, but social Hitman stealth is an entirely different beast to sneaky sneaky shadow stealth, but fuck i'm glad IO is back in form and better than ever.

The only real hope we have is indies, and in order for indies to take up the mantle you'd need an extremely talented team of 20-30 devs which is honestly well beyond the scope of most indies, and well beyond their abilities. You need top tier programmers to actually create design the stealth mechanics to begin with, then in addition to that top tier AI programmers, stellar animators and great audio engineers and proper industry producers who could actually wrangle a project and team of that size. So about the only "indies" that would ever be able to pull something like that off is veterans of the industry with tens of millions of dollars at their disposal and I suspect most of them are too fucking old and burnt out to be willing to put everything on the line to give it a shot.

different take but in retrospect i think the double agent multiplayer formula has room for growth and could be a good concept for a multiplayer title actually

Imagine being The guard in that scene and having to be all like "damn, Fisher, where did ya go, all invisible and shit, with your body in the shadows. I totaly cannot see you right there over me with a giant bulb of light behind you. when all he really wants to do is shot the fucking guy right in the balls. Like seriously imagine having to be Soldier and not only have to ignore the guy in plain fucking sight right in front of you, the favorable lighting barely concealing the giant 3 green lights he carries in his head, while he just sits there, ,load after load, until he perfected the take down. Not only having to tolerate the fucking audacity of hiding in plain fucking sight but her haughty attitude as everyone on here tells you that DANM THATS THE BEST STEALTH GAME EVER MADE. WHERE DID FISHER GO??? IS HE A GHOST OR SOMETHING??? because they're not the ones who have to walk pass there and watch the fucking elephant in the room jump from 2m onto the ground making the biggest sound in the world and you have to act like you didnt noticed it. You trained your entire life in the best boot camps in russia and was survived war zones that were considered suicide missions your ENTIRE CAREER coming straight out of the boonies in Afeganistam. You've never even seen anything this fucking disgusting before, and now you swear you can taste the sweat that's breaking out on his fucking balls while he just hangs in there waiting for you to pass, smugly assured that you are oblivious to the king of stealth(for that is what he calls himself)" , the stealth he worked so hard breaking every single light bulb in the previous room's. And then the player reloads again, and you know you could kill the fucker before he even finishes climbing the wall, but you sit there and endure, because you're fucking Professional. You're not going to lose your future main character status in a generic FPS game over this. Just bear it. Hide your face and bear it.

Attached: Imagine Splinter Cell.png (1280x720, 1.19M)

I've literally done this to people in broad daylight in high hallways to people at work, it works a treat.
I've even pulled it off in bathrooms above toilets resulting in screaming housemates.
We do not instinctively look up for threats.

>go on to star in MW2
>gasoline murder scene
>cut, that's a wrap everybody, great job Steve

the suffering was worth it

So why was Siri such a cunt

>gets really popular because she's chunky and a good looking chunky girl too
>loses weight
>dies her hair
>looks weird because she's been losing weight
>retires because people called her thick

I'll always remember Gaben talking in the HL2 commentary about how hard it is to get players to look up

This is what happens when you spend a lot of time evolving on plains instead of the jungle.

>So why was Siri such a cunt
She's a woman who did porn, women are already inherently insecure and mentally ill, those who do porn doubly so in both respects.

Siri is my wife

The styx games were a fun stealthy romp as a goblin that actually emphasizes no direct confrontation my only real gripe would be how they reuse levels a lot.

>here goes jimmy climbing the fucking wall again
>just ignore him, he does for atention

I dont think she wanted to do it.
Her husband dragged her into porn.

and then Overwatch went and created a character entirely based around abusing that because modern Blizzard can't into good game design

>Dishonored
how is dishonored? i wana try it but i feel like the stealth cant be to hard if you have an arsenal of powerful spells to use.

>Styx
and are these games worth checking out? Ive seen them mentioned on here a couple of times but i dont know what the consensus is

dishonored is a good world and stealthing can be fun but your amazing OP skills make it the lamer choice

Styx is way more stealth heavy but

>how is dishonored? i wana try it but i feel like the stealth cant be to hard if you have an arsenal of powerful spells to use.
It's good, but you're absolutely going to ruin it for yourself if you play it as a pure stealth game using none of the ridiculous abilities......which is exactly what I did the first time, and whilst I enjoyed it, it was incredibly easy and a pure stealth run really isn't how it's meant to be played at all.

Well worth checking out if you enjoyed Thief, just don't be a tard like me and try and force it to be something it's not, embrace the intended design and I think you'll have a better time.

>games are dead

is there any way they can make a comeback?

Attached: normies reee.jpg (2404x1260, 443K)

theirs an achievement to beat dishonored with just blink or something right? have either of you tried that and is it fun? I definitely want to also play it right with all the abilities and fucking people up tho ive seen some cool webms

stealth games never really made it into super mainstream success have they? They died around the 3rd picture.

I only do it for the thrill of scaring the shit out of people.

Best ever was hiding under a relatives bed whilst they were staying with us over Christmas as a kid, waiting for them to go to bed (legit 30 minute wait), them sitting down on the bed to take off their shoes and then just reaching out from under the bed whilst they were still seated and firmly grabbing a leg in each hand.

I've never heard anyone scream like that, it was incredible.

Attached: snekyjimmy.jpg (700x933, 68K)

splinter cell and MGS were pretty big

I'm glad stealth games are dead, since almost all of them feel like they were designed to be as obnoxious and tedious as possible.
>AI is fucking busted and will instantly hone in on your location and find you even if you're hiding in a dresser two rooms away from where they last heard you
>Half the game is you just sitting in a dark corner or box waiting for an enemy to walk in a circle so you can walk in a straight line to the next patch of shadows/box
>Even the most minor of mistakes will get you severely punished to the point where you'd be lucky if you don't lose the entire level or half an hour of progress because some dipshit looked at you for half a second
>If the AI isn't busted and enemies don't have a radar that shows your exact location the game is a cakewalk because the devs only work in extremes
Only time stealth games work are when it gives you the option of not being stealthy at all, and at that point it's just redundant.

Attached: 1524548356526.png (626x620, 37K)

metal gear is fun but i dont think of it as the same way i think of splintercell, theif, and hitman. Its more like spy action like james bond

i was 12 when chaos theory came out so i guess i just wasnt aware of how big it was at the time

i can relate

Attached: hahaha.jpg (252x240, 7K)

based retard

Stop making it super easy to kill enemies so stealth isnt trivialized

>is there any way they can make a comeback?
Developers find a way around the "quicksave, proceed and fail, quickload, proceed and fail, quickload, proceed and suceed quicksave" loop

those were americans, shepherd's black ops unit.

Attached: shadowcompany.jpg (1280x720, 105K)

her husband pushed her to do porn and was real insistent she continue a career in it. she retired because they divorced.

post her brapper already

Well, she's ugly, so I can see it happening.

eyes on the right look familiar

>The only real hope we have is indies
mark of the ninja, and invisible inc are pretty good stealth games

huh, that's fucking weird

Maybe they can adopt the dark souls model somehow

I actually had an idea where they simply use time reversal, and have it be a resource that effects how much stuff you steal. And you have to put stuff back everytime you time reversal.

And the heists have a limited time limit, which promotes rushing through the map.

>women are already inherently insecure and mentally ill
That comes with being a millennial.

I think that was pretty much not-Blackwater.
A copout because they didn't have the balls to have you killing US military, despite the fact that you are trying to hunt down a US general.

This.

>theirs an achievement to beat dishonored with just blink or something right? have either of you tried that and is it fun?
Yeap, that's exactly what I did on my first run and it was boring as shit. Just play with abilities, you don't have to go crazy, but don't gimp the entire experience for the sake of an achievement, at least not for your first run.

Who gets a hot pornstar looking wife like her that isn't actually a pornstar and thinks, "She should definitely just be a pornstar"

Literal cuckolds, I suppose.

he was a literal cuckold.

I wonder if its going to be a regular thing now. Thread that is both about porn and videogames. Not that most threads arent already like that, but this is more civilized.

They good

Either a piece of shit just looking to turn her out for easy money or the worlds biggest dumbass who thought having a porn star wife would be hot as fuck and all his wildest dreams come true.

But do we want to jerk off to that is the question? Obviously we don't.

do you guys prefer 2d, 3d, or isometric stealth games best?

Styx is arcade stealth with some questionable detection here and there.
Worth playing though just get it on sale and don't expect anything amazing.

>isometric
I'm intrigued, give me a couple of these

Only ones that come to mind are the first three MGS games and Volume

shadow tatics: blade of the shogun, invisible inc.

normies dont want to be stealthy

>do you guys prefer 2d, 3d, or isometric stealth games best?
>Love Commandos 2
>Love Thief
>Love Splinter Cell
>Love Mark of the Ninja

I think I just like stealth games.

Also has anyone tried this?
store.steampowered.com/app/471010/Seven_The_Days_Long_Gone/
It flew completely under my radar.

>tfw sekiro was going to be a new Tenchu

No it wasn't, the devs literally talk about how from the outset they had no intention of making a Tenchu game.

Play Shadow Tactics.

That is a poor little white boy after all

what's wrong with that?

Oh I have and I love it (and i'm pretty excited for their new Desperado's game), I was just randomly picking a game from different perspectives that were all stealth.

I can see Ubi making a new Splinter Cell to be like the recent Hitman games. Season pass and everything.

>what's wrong with that?
It's career ending.

you get typecasted into that stuff if you start doing it, though

Siri looks better when she was a bit chubby.

Typecasting implies continued employment, its career-altering not ending.

She looks like I fuck black girls.

>many pornstars nowadays start with IR, and nothing fucking happens to them.
It literally ended Siri's career kek

Stealth games are dead because the good ones are ruthless to the player and require you to learn the mechanics and don't let you proceed until you can handle that. Nowadays developers are terrified of people getting stuck and going back to fortnite

>nothing fucking happens to them
So you mean, it ends their careers?

>the devs literally talk about how from the outset they had no intention of making a Tenchu game.

Damn right in the feels....

no
they peaked and every stealth game after will be casualized shit

Don't listen to those people. Its basically a meme.

Not that they won't ever, just that what they wanted to make with Sekiro was very different to what they felt a Tenchu game should be and they literally had no idea how to do a Tenchi sequel justice without it being a shitty imitation of the originals.

The stealth in Sekiro though looks good enough for a Tenchu reboot. And hopefully they just reboot the franchise at this point.

Yeah there's definitely a few mechanics there they could easily work into a Tenchu game.

In all honesty though, all I want out of a Tenchu game at this point is an open source Tenchu Z styled game on PC with full dev tools for creating maps and setting AI paths and objectives.

I feel like even that should be doable by a small indie team and the community could keep it alive and kicking with new content for years to come.

That sounds amazing tbqh and I am all in.

stealth is in 90% of aaa games though
I've just played Arkham Knight, I'm playing Human Revolution atm

siri ended her career, not doing ir you dummy.

This place will be the first to know if I can manage to get something even basic thrown together, and that is the good thing about the Tenchu formula, it is pretty basic.

>no Styx sequel
Shit, it really is

Attached: 1493788622623.jpg (600x780, 39K)

>you play as sam fisher but he's an anime pervert and rapist
>you stalk hot waifus and use stealth mechanics to grab them by the pussy and violate their freedoms

I can totally see this work.
