Yeah. If you're on a budget then it's worth it entirely. Imagine getting an entire library of amazing games for like 30 bucks all from a thrift store. Shit is just cash.

get the fat model and slap on a HDD and softmod it

Have mine since 2001, the laser is a bit slow but I have an HDD installed.

yeah, if you have ps2 games you still wanna play or said games don't emulate well, but what's more frustrating is how you'll need to do some cable-hell to get it to function with more modern tvs now

it made me feel justified each time when Sony shilled and resold their ps1/ps2 remasters on meme4: SoTC, Ratchet and Clank, crash bandicoot, spyro and so on

My carry on only had room for my laptop. In hindsight it probably still could have fit but I didn't want to risk a tight fit breaking one or the other.

The slims can't read some discs while I never had any problems with the fat

Thats true, games like Soul calibur 2 and Black have so many issues. not to mention random crashes for different games.
