My guess is that Bob Page and Rand are using Jensen to destabilize the Illuminati and put Page in power.
The game will have Jensen meeting "Janus" and doing covert operations to take down DeBeers. At the end you'll see the beginnings of the JC project and nano-augmentations.

MD has more augs and better cover / aiming. They're both pretty solid though, always worth getting when they're on sale

Hard to pick, MD probably has a slight edge on gameplay and sidequests but the story is unfinished and I think HR had better levels.

just play all of them, start with HR because I think it'll start you off at the "beginning"

MD is an excellent game from a technical standpoint but sort of falls flat in terms of memorable characters and pacing. The environments were pretty good but not as memorable either. I still have the layouts of HR memorized but still get lost regularly when I play through MD.

Adam and Megan reunite and rekindle their romance, but Adam realises he's a replica of the original who died at the end of HR. The plot is basically Blade Runner with him and Megan from then on, when he realises she's also not the real Megan Reid.
