Most things they add to the game are good, people were buttblasted about old additions, people are currently buttblasted about new additions, and people in the future will be buttblasted by additions in that time.
The only thing which pisses me off about Minecraft development is that the updates aren't that huge but they take an extremely long time to make. The game should've been at the point it is currently in 2015

Clay molds exist if you don't do mining. You can start making tools before finding metals. it also exists to give modpacks more options

You can use gold to make molds in modern tcon. I think you could even do so back then. aluminum brass was just an efficiency thing, since it's 1 ingot made from 2 common ores instead of 2 ingots from a rarer ore.

I’ve always thought it would be really fun to have a warfare survival server with reasonable realistic limitations and a big central hub.

Like the way I imagine it is the city woyld be neutral trading grounds and you’d build your castle on the outskirts and build trebuchets and shit to attack the other castles with. There’d have to be a limit to your building resources but I can see some funny shit happening like the kid with the smallest house spends all his time making an underground tunel to the next castle and blows it up from the foundation. You couldn’t just walk into somebody’s place because of “guards”.

Again, just spitballing but I wouldn’t know how to keep reasonable limitations without making a private “roleplay warfare” server with chums, savestates, and a DM that decides werher or not an attack is “legal”
