Ubisofts number 1 problem is UI design imo.

The Division is actually a really fun game albeit a bit repetetive, but the menus and hud are absolute dogshit and full of nonsensical design choices, I spend almost as much time managing my inventory as I do playing.

The quality of a visual aesthetic is a matter of personal opinion, no?

I dont think it looks good, but someone is probably really enjoying it somewhere and that's ok.

the damage mechanic is really just for show. there's many weapons that still only take 1 shot to down enemies and I'm playing on the hardest difficulty. it's a really pointless mechanic they added in. occasionally it's two shots but now that I have tier 2 weapons with a sniper that does 800 damage it's always a one shot and there's still a tier above left for me to unlock.

The only far cry game I've been remotely interested in is the one with hunting and the magic tattoos. Is that one worth playing?

it looks pretty only in specific conditions, you still end up with scenes like this where the lighting doesn't cover.

Played an Arma III singleplayer scenario like this which was a good laugh. Far Cry has some solid core gameplay, and the outpost clearing is fun, it's only ruined when it's stretched out over 25 hours and called a game.

I clearly said I pirated the game, so I can see by myself instead of believing stuff I see on the internet like the good little sheep that you are.

I am playing it and it's damn fun, also graphic is insane on PC and runs at 60fps even on potatoes unlike other AAA engines.

Yeah, a game that played like Arma and where you felt like you were actually building a resistance, slowly getting stronger but had to plot every assault or action because your guys could die and stay dead would fantastic.

I realise this is completely not the point of Far Cry, I just think there's a lot of potential for open world combat games that isn't just for le wacky Youtube meme moments.

Lighting. I haven't played both games, though, so while I may be talking out of my ass. Based on the screenshots I've seen posted, 5 uses a lot more warmer colors to give off a sort of sunset type of view (I get a yellow vibe from it). The tones are also not very vibrant, so it blends together well, and the guns are plain and simple; nothing is too distracting. It's "boring" but pleasant to look at.

New Dawn is very vibrant, almost saturated. It noticeably leans more to cooler colors (the blue sky being more bright than 5's is a good example). There's also pink, which is very in your face, and the guns also pop out more. There's just too much going on and everything wants your attention.

Yeah 5 got so repetitive so fast. And it isn't just the gameplay that's repetitive, it's everything. The same music plays constantly, I feel like I hear the same voices over and over, I don't get why people like these games.

Seems like it was literally planned as FC5 DLC/expansion but got hyper jewed into a standalone release
